Jon & Vinny's Beverly Hills Reviews from The Last Year

We had reservations for dinner on a week night and were seated pretty quickly. Service was good overall. Ambiance is like a casual Italian spot. Everything was delicious, so not sure why this place has a 3 star rating. - Gem lettuce caesar (5/5): Okay this salad was bomb. Each piece of lettuce was perfectly crafted with every topping, so tasty. - Spicy fusilli pasta (4.5/5): The only thing about this pasta was the portion size was small. It was so delicious, perfectly creamy and tomatoy. - Brooklyn bomber (5/5): This pizza was a good size, super flavorful. Even the crust was good. - White lightnening (4.5/5): I love the ricotta, makes it super creamy and delicious.
First time at this location and first time dining at any
First time at this location and first time dining at any Jon & Vinny's in years and man was I so pleasantly surprised. The staff is fantastic. I had a reservation for outdoor seating because that was all that was available. I called earlier in the day and requested to be seated indoors and the woman on the phone was so nice and easy going about it. We were seated right away when we arrived and it didn't take long for our waiter to stop by our table and ask for our drink orders. The gem salad, mushroom pizza and cacio e pepe pasta were my favorites. The chopped salad is great, and so is the jersey marinara pizza, the corn agnolotti and bolognese pasta. The bucatini aglio e olio needed a little more flavor and the spicy fusilli isn't as good and creamy as it used to be. The desserts are also just whatever. I'd rather go next door to Go Greek for dessert. I was surprised to see that the restaurant wasn't so busy and I feel like it's because of the 18% service charge. It says on the receipt that it's not a tip and the recommended tips range from 8%-15%. Usually at restaurants, recommended tips start at 15% or 18%! I just hope the waiters and staff aren't being jipped...
My favorite place to eat when I'm in Beverly Hills! Love
My favorite place to eat when I'm in Beverly Hills! Love the lemon pasta and jalapeño pizza! Yuuuuummmmyyyyy
The quality of the food here is not good.
I don't get the 18% charge either. The only dish that's descent is the chicken cutlet.
Best Jon & Vinny's location! Obsessed with everything I
Best Jon & Vinny's location! Obsessed with everything I ever eat here. I always get gem lettuce salad and the LA woman, but this time we got the spaghetti limone instead of the spicy fusilli and I am beyond obsessed!! My new favorite pasta (anywhere) literally craving it the next day and I'm not the biggest pasta person. I finally tried their ice cream and loved it as well :) I will always try to save room for dessert moving forward. There are so many amazing items on the menu to choose from, it's difficult to choose from, you can't go wrong with anything, but I highly recommend getting a pizza! They honestly have some of the best pizza, top 3 pizza for me! Their crust is 10/10. Service was great, they had a manager take care of us at the end and make sure we were really happy with our meal, she was very kind! I prefer the ambiance and seating at this location, there is valet parking right out front or a parking garage right across the street. Their seating inside is much bigger and more comfortable/open, and I love their patio seating, very relaxed and comfortable compared to the other locations. This will definitely be my go to Jon & Vinny's location!
Just a fun small Italian restaurant that provides good food
Just a fun small Italian restaurant that provides good food and great service. Favorite pizza place so far. Pretty much anything on their pizza list is fire. Usually grab their Gem Lettuce.
Don't go here.
18% service charge and then ask for additional tip. Mediocre Italian food at best. Let this place die.
Perfect spot right in the middle of everything
I adore this amazing eatery. My favorite thing is the Ricotta & Orange Blossom Honey toast. The bread is crunchy, thick, grilled and fullof flavor. The extremely thick layer of high quality ricotta has such a delicate sweeness. Topped with toasted sesame seeds that add not only texture but a slight nuttiness that perfectly compliments the ricotta. And then the piece de resistance is the perfect drizzle of local orange blossom honey it adds the peefect end note to this lucious dish. I love eating there as well. Everyone is so friendly. The cooks are consistent and fabulous. It's so much fun just enjoying the sights and sounds of Fairfax while have the best pizza or various bruschettas they offer. The ambiance is half pizza joint and half Los Angeles trendy eatery. It's definitely one of my favorite places to dine.

Absolute must try this little hidden gem! Loved their meatballs and spicy fusilli! Must need ressies but they also take walk ins (best to go around 5:30-6pm )
Look, overall this place is fine.
The pasta is average with not a ton of flavor and the texture is just ok. However, the gem lettuce salad is really special - it's spicy and so so good. That said, it's really the only standout on the menu in my opinion.

Today I was here with a couple of my friends the pasta that I ordered was great I liked it a lot. The service was amazing we had a really nice waiter for my first time i was happy. The place was a little quiet and empty. What really annoyed me is that I wanted to tip our server and we figured out that the 18 percent fee they charge doesn't even go to the staff, and they wouldn't remove it from the bill
Great location, good service, and the pizza is delish.
Restaurant is well organized and very clean. We ordered a variety of appetizers; it sounds simple, but hands down, the tuna bruschetta was the best I've ever had. All of the apps could have easily served as a main course - huge portions. Pizza crust was perfectly chewy and loaded with toppings. The corn agnolotti were plump and delicately flavored. Many families were enjoying the spaghetti. Looked delish, but hard to resist pizza!
Pros: pizza and bruschetta was amazing.
But that's it. Cons: music was too loud. Portions got very small. Our waitress was non existent. Fusilli doesn't taste as good as it used to. Oh and they add a 18% service charge that's supposedly not a tip to your bill to cover "living wages" and then expect a tip on top. The food is already overpriced. The owners are making enough. I don't need to pay for the staff's wage. Wouldn't go back.
Wonderful Italian food.
Small spot almost hidden but is sooo good!!! You have to try the pizza. Simple ingredients used to perfection.
The prices are decent for the quality of the food.
The pizzas and pastas are very savory and it's all freshly made. I love Jon & Vinny's!
Jon And Vinny’s
This place was very popular when it opened across the street from Supreme on Fairfax. They used to act like employees at Supreme and had that attitude like you’re lucky to get in. Now that Supreme moved to Sunset Blvd, Jon and Vinny’s is no longer in demand. Not on Fairfax or Brentwood. The food was always ok but not worth waiting in line for or paying their ridiculous prices. The Caesar is good if you’re dining in but it’s a joke if you get it delivered. It comes with 5-6 romaine leaves and not worth $20. I hate to say it but they deserve to fail.
Very disappointing!!! Food here tastes so BAD! Right
Very disappointing!!! Food here tastes so BAD! Right when we entered the restaurant the waitress asked for my phone number. I thought for waiting list but the restaurant was quite empty. So the waitress said "they want to get customers' phone number for their record." Very strange and suspicious! Most ridiculous thing is they automatically charged 18% services fee and on top of that asking for more tips !? We had only two people and ordered two dishes why automatically 18% service fee!? The waitress served us were busy taking photos and chatting with other waitresses not even serving us properly !
I never write a review but I could not stop myself as I was
I never write a review but I could not stop myself as I was so appalled by Jon & Vinny's. There was 6 of us for dinner at the Beverly Hills location of Jon & Vinny's. When the bill came there was a service charge of $32.00. I called over the waitress to ask her what that charge was all about. She said I'll be right back, 2 minutes later a manager came by and I asked her she said it was a service charge, I said for what? she said the house, but I could leave more money for the servers. Is Jon & Vinny's crazy?? We will never go back there ever again Anyone eating at there restaurants check your Bill, your getting ripped off.
This was such a great dinner spot! I didn't have any
This was such a great dinner spot! I didn't have any reservations but didn't have a problem getting seated. This may have been because I went at 6:30ish on a weeknight so if you're planning on going on the weekend or later at night, make a reservation! The food was amazing! I was blown away by the meatball, and I honestly wasn't expecting to. The spicy fusilli is also a must have. All the waiters were so kind and fast. They played great music and it was a great spot to go to with friends. There's a parking structure across the street that gives 2h free so that's a plus! However, if you go after 6pm, it's a $5 flat rate.
Good food and service. Sketchy part of town
Food and service were great. It’s right on the edge of the hood so we didn’t feel super safe walking there from our hotel Our server was great and his recommendations were spot on Didn’t love the 18% sur charge but I guess that’s the price we pay for California’s minimum wage We had gem lettuce salad and polenta bolognese. Both were good
Watch out for the 18% surcharge!
I'm really torn because the food was GREAT...but we all just cannot get the bad taste out of our mouths for the 18% surcharge on our bill for the staff. They made it clear it wasn't going to the workers as a tip but as a help with cost of living for staff. My question is...why not just charge 18% more for the food! The service and food was outstanding but sadly we won't go back because of this (plus I didn't see it listed anywhere on their website or menus when we dined...maybe it's in some small print somewhere but a negative surprise for us. Sadly, we won't be back.
Very tasty !!!
I was here for dinner, ordered pizza and chicken wings - very tasty pizza!! Thin dough, like in Italy Nice service, I liked it
Meatballs!!!!
Really enjoyed the fusilli and the margherita pizza was great. The kind of spot I wish I lived right around the corner from!
Pasta to die for
The food at this restaurant is excellent. Fresh, top notch ingredients perfectly executed. Try the vodka pasta for sure. Plus one version of the excellent bruschetta. There is a wine shop, Helen’s, which supplies the wine for the restaurant and you can also go in and buy your own to drink with your meal. Selection is wonderfully eclectic. Service is very good. A few gripes. There is a bit of an in and out culture which detracts from the atmosphere and one feels slightly pushed along. There is also a slight diner approach which does not sit well with the costing of the menu for which you would expect some greater refinement. Also, the mandatory 18% staff charge on top of which service is also expected means the cost bulks up considerably. However, the food does trump these issues .

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
