Juju definitely delivers with a fun, social atmosphere, rapid service and wonderful wait staff. The food is good, but nothing I would return for. With this restaurant, as long as you know what you're getting I do not think you'll be disappointed. I would rate this place a couple steps above a PF Chang's, but by no means a restaurant with exceptional or unique food. It's definitely Asian fusion but I felt that some dishes relied heavily on excessive sweet or spicy sauces to deliver flavor. However, everyone at the table enjoyed their food and left satisfied. When I think this place would be really great for is large parties, birthday get togethers and catching up with old friends as you could continuously order small plates, try them together, while catching up. They have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages, as well. Staff was very friendly and tentative. Probably the best stand out feature of this restaurant. All in all, I will probably not be returning as I do not think the food warrants another taste. But, don't let that stop you from coming here or fun birthday dinner celebration.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great service, nice ambiance, a little pricey.
We got 4 small plates & a dessert to share between 2 of us, plus a glass of sangria each. Bill was around $100. Tuna bites: delicious. The decorative-looking orange sauce is SPICY. 4 pieces to the plate and each is 1-2 bites' worth of food. Shrimp dumplings: the filling is amazing and the presentation is gorgeous. Again, 4 to a plate with about 2 large shrimp in each. Bing bread: sort of like if a pancake texture had a baby with naan flavor. I scraped off the chives because I hate onion-y things, but the salt and butter transport the dish. Brussels sprouts: I have a love-hate relationship with this vegetable. These were decent. I preferred the browner, crisper ones in the dish. The apricots were a nice touch. Doughnuts: oooooommmmgggg. So good. The donuts themselves have an absolute perfect texture, warm and fluffy but slightly chewy. Generously sprinkled with powdered sugar. I wasn't sure how I would feel about chai cream but it was delightful. We sat at the bar and had perfect service from our bartender. I would definitely go back!

This was my first experience at Juju and it lived up to its reviews. The vibe inside was great. Love the color palette and layout of the restaurant. We ate at the bar and our server/bartender was great! He knew the menu well and made great recommendations. On top of that his mixologist skills were on point. One improvement I'd like to see is their selection of bourbon and liquor overall. We started our meal with the oyster which were had a nice spin to the typical preparation. Since I'm Filipino we had to get the Sisig! It wasn't prepared how I'm accustomed to but they did a great job on their rendition of this dish. Lastly we got the pork belly buns and I've got to say, the portions on this dish are the biggest I've had for any bun dish over ordered. We passed on dessert because we were stuffed and short on time since we were headed to a show. Overall Juju was a great experience and I definitely will be back to try more of their menu.

Dinner lastnight was pretty good at Juju Durham the staff there was nice and attentive and food was pretty good . Definitely a good place to share and try different dishes .. Started with the raw oysters app which was pretty damn good and not to brineyNext up were the pork and Chive dumplings and also the shrimp dumplings... out of the two the shrimp dumplings were better... wish the skin was a lil thinner ... but overall the shrimp dumplings was better.. Another app was the roasted bone marrow served with the sweet Bing bread .. let's just say it's a must have and the combination of the roasted bone marrow, mandarin orange, onion and radish on top of the Bing bread was amazing .. each element all put together made an excellent bite. So onto some of the main dishes .. The jumbo lump crab Singapore noodles was pretty damn good ... it wasn't to heavy on the curry flavor like other places and the jumbo crab nuggets were pretty good ... it was just missing some spicy heat element which would've took it over the top . The lemongrass grilled hanger steak wasn't bad... just wish they would've used a different cut of meat .. didn't get too much off the lemongrass flavor but wasn't bad.. it was served with a peanut sauce which was good ..So overall experience at Juju was good and would be back to try other dishes .

Short Review:Popular spot with great ambiance, food and service to match. Long Review:Was in town for the weekend and wanted a place to go where if I went by myself I wouldn't feel out of place. Turns out I was one of many singles seated at the bar, so I guess it's a thing. (Lots of couples there too.)It's Asian-influenced tapas. Can't really go wrong with anything. I had the sweet chili cucumbers to start / which were amazing. The lump crab Singapore noodles were just ok. The curry flavor wasn't too overwhelming but I think the dish would have tasted better with chicken. (Maybe I was just craving it.) the bao doughnuts for dessert are a must. Stop in if you're in town!

GREAT ASIAN TAPAS + NICE TO GO WITH A BIG GROUP TO ORDER A VARIETY OF DISHES TO TRY. Love coming here with friends to celebrate a birthday, parents coming into town, or just to treat ourselves. This vibrant restaurant combines Asian flavors with the small plates concept of Spanish tapas, creating a truly unique and delicious dining experience. The menu is full of incredible and beautifully presented dishes. The pork belly bao buns are a must-try - they're incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The beef bulgogi skewers are also great, with tender meat and a rich marinade. We always order a dessert (I think they rotate, but they're all worth a taste). The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with colorful decor and a bustling bar. And the staff is friendly, fun, and always happy to make recommendations. They also have a fun creative cocktail menu, and the drinks are nicely crafted.

First time visit but not the last! My best advice is go hungry and with others so you can try as many of their delicious menu items as possible!!! The menu here is Asian small plates, with a few large plate exceptions. We were a party of 2 and got 5 small plates and couldn't finish our last one because we were so stuffed from eating every last bite! They do a nice job spacing out the plates and if you have ever been to a place that doesn't do this well, you know. This place was packed with not a single empty table when we were there for our reservations. GET RESERVATIONS! If you have time to kill while waiting for your table there is a nice brewery across the street I would recommend checking out. Be aware some of the tables are super close together...almost to the point it's difficult to walk through and you have a lack of privacy at your table.

The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. They made me a great mocktail since I wasn't drinking. It's a great place to go with friends or on a date so that you can share the small plates. Get dessert!

Such a great experience! Delicious food and nice intimate atmosphere. This was our first time and we wanted to try it all. Our server suggested 3-5 tapas for the two of us which probably would have been a perfect amount but we ordered 7-8 and left very full and had leftovers (not complaining!). My favorites were the crab baos, bing bread and the spicy tuna. My husband loved the Sichuan Noodles and lamb. Everything we got was delicious! We will definitely be back!
