If you any a clubby over priced experience, this place might be for you. I felt the value here is for those who want to be seen in a lively environment, not for a good evening out with great Italian food. The staff was great. The food was unimpressive. Better fare can had in many places in and around LA. I won't go so far as to say Olive Garden but it was close.
Terrible Food and lack of Customer Concerns
Overrated. Expensive for what you get. For Italian the sauce was bland. Avoid the lobster pasta. They serve it in the half shell where the lobster meat is equal to a size of 1 shrimp. Serving in the shell to make it appear you are getting a lot. Addressed to the server whom did nothing. Most establishments will try to make good for their reputation and potential bad reviews. Sent a note to this establishment regarding this = no response. Not this one. That right there will give you a clue that they are all in for the money and not the customer. What a joke. Will be escalating this to the top management in corporate, perhaps they will be educated on customer service. Try the Eataly areas outside of the dining area, where you can order individual food items and avoid the overpriced dishes and lack of consideration.

The decor and ambience were incredible, the service was fantastic, and the theatrics were a great time. We started with the hay liquor aperitif and drinks - they're known for their martinis and the cocktails were great. Bread service was free and the focaccia with butter and pickled vegetables was one of the highlights of the night. The tableside Caesar is fun (but the dish itself won't knock your socks off, it is just a slightly overdressed salad). The spaghetti and meatballs is worth the hype. Whatever you do, do not order the potato croquettes. They were so underseasoned and bland it was actually jarring when the rest of the meal was so good. Still, this is a great restaurant and the classic Hollywood vibe is a very fun time. Highly recommend.

Not your Dad's LaDolceVita!! I first was ntroduced to LaDolceVita in 1971!! My first visit to L.A we stayed at the Century Cirt Hotel. Most of Century City was MUD after a rainfall. Up to a few years bfore, CC was the backlot for 20th Century Fox!! Your favortite westerns were filmed there....But I degress.We fell in love with LaDolceVita!! After we moved to LA in the mid 70's LaDolceVita!! was our "goto" restaurant for special occasions or simply a wonderful restaurant experiance with friends and relatives. Now LaDolceVita is NOT the real LaDolceVita! The NEW atomosphere is all wrong. The lighting is dark with a strange orange overcast... The original waiters (all prior cruse ship waiters) were profesional and a delight. The current waiters mean well, but they are not professional servers. The food was a major disappointment,

5 star average review here just isn't doing this place justice. I visited La Dolce Vita last night for the first time and absolutely loved it. You're transformed into a different time and space the moment you walk through the doors. The restaurant is small, intimate, creative, and alive. The decor and music take you back 50 years ... but you don't feel like you're in a 50 year old space, you feel like you're in the space when it was new, 50 years ago. The place was filled to capacity, and felt bustling - we were still seated right away. The service was stellar. Martini's served in multiple parts with extra accouterments, well plated appetizers on what seemed to be real china, and attentive staff. Dining here is an event, and not just a meal. The food was great and satisfying. This is a restaurant that is more about the entire experience than just the food itself. If you're looking for an exciting dining experience from a place that understands the value of hospitality in dining out, this spot is worthy of consideration. I'll definitely be back.

I used to really love this place, but last time i visited i felt their pastas are not as it used to be. I had the lemon pasta and it was extremely oily, in fact the oil taste was the dominant taste over everything else. My friend had spaghetti with meatball and the meat tasted so terrible and again oily. I hope they go back to what they used to be...

Really enjoyed this place! The food tasted very homemade which I loved. I want to come back for the pasta. The meatballs were so tender they melted in my mouth. Unfortunately we didn't get to try some appetizers as they were out of the stuff we wanted but it's okay we will be back! The dessert was really good. The drinks were just okay will probably just get a glass of wine next time. Service was great and ambience reminded me of New York. Overall loved!

We went back to La Dolce Vita almost two years after our first visit, for a double date with our friends Esther A. and Brad H. It was a wonderful Saturday night, planned months in advance. We got babysitting, took Ubers, drank copiously, and ran up a hefty bill over the course of four-plus hours. Food, drink, and ambiance were all great, more or less as I remembered. Service, though, left a bit to be desired. It became clear, way too late in our meal, that the restaurant wanted to turn our table. We had a 7:15 reservation and gave every indication that we were sitting down for a long dinner. We started with a round of drinks (I did notice the pickled vegetable garnish for the LDV Gibson got smaller), then ordered two bottles of wine when we put in our food--one to go with our appetizers and pastas, the other with our veal parmesan. We were surprised, then, when the pastas and veal parmesan arrived in one huge course; even more so when our server told us they had a reservation coming in for our table, minutes after we opened a third bottle of wine. I understand that restaurants need to manage their flow of diners, but that rushed veal parmesan was the first indication that we were on the clock. Restaurants often indicate time restrictions on the various reservation apps, but La Dolce Vita does not do this, and we might have chosen a different restaurant had they said they expected to turn our 7:15 table. I imagine this is exactly why they don't list a time limit on Resy. The service team might also have guessed that we wanted to stick around by the aggressiveness of our drink orders, but instead of mentioning anything on the front end, they waited until we had a third bottle paid for and partially poured before telling us to hurry things along. We pushed back and pointed out that it was almost 10:00 and we'd just gotten another bottle of wine, and our server talked to the management and came back to say they found another table for the incoming party. I don't understand why they didn't figure this out without bothering us and making us feel unwelcome. At least we were allowed to finish dinner at our leisure. We even ended the night with another mini-round (my husband and I split a negroni) which we all paid for the next morning. The food was good. I remembered the shrimp fra diavolo and the bucatini al limoni from our first visit, and they were just as nice the second time around. We also got an excellent Caesar salad with parmesan, Sicilian anchovy, and torn croutons, prepared tableside, and a rigatoni special with vodka sauce. The veal parmesan was delicious and enormous and should 100% have been served on its own, after the pastas, with the wine we explicitly ordered to drink with it. We finished our dinner with a shared dessert. I think it was the almond budino, but to be honest, things got a little cloudy after that third bottle. Were we greedy for wanting to keep our 7:15 table until well after 11:00? Maybe. But it felt like a reasonable expectation, and our bill was expensive enough. I don't like that La Dolce Vita was so willing to take our money before turning around and trying to get us to leave. We had a lot of fun, but I don't know that we'll go again.

Such a nice cute place, it reminds me of Craigs but with better/quiter vibes ... I wouldn't say it's the best Italian resto out there but it is definitely a perfect blend of good food, great ambience and service ! Lemon pasta was pretty good.

Food was mediocre at best and way over priced for quality and quantity of what they serve. Ragu with some oregano and pepper is tremendously better than the spaghetti meatballs served. Chicken Marsala was dry and sauce was overcooked making the Marsala sauce more like a reduction and overly bitter. Steak was ok. Worst was the tiramisu. Absolutely horrible. Giving this place a single star is a gift.
Fresh Italian food, great drinks
Delicious lunch and drinks! Had a few spritzes, pizza fur and appetizer and of course pasta. They have fun winter ski menu right now, too. Beautiful day on the patio at Capri.

The staff is quite nice which is why two stars but that is it. We stopped in for lunch and I must say the prices are higher than Italy. How good a kids pasta and a pizza and salad cost 100 bucks! The buratta pizza was soggy and overpriced and although the place was empty we waited way to long. The pasta was just ok. Certainly nothing special and the arrugula salad with lemon dressing and Mary's chicken was downright awful. I think the chicken had to be frozen and totally tasteless and the arrugula was far from fresh and tasty. I guess when PE buys a joint and with some formula opens up everywhere you have to expect something like this.
Shockingly Bad – Worst Dining Experience in LA!
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. My group of four adults went to Terra excited to enjoy a good meal, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. We initially ordered individual Bisteccas, but our waiter—a young, arrogant man from Milan—*forced* us into ordering the Bistecca alla Fiorentina instead. He ignored our requests and insisted that we try his recommendation. What a colossal mistake! The steak arrived barely cooked—it was supposed to be Medium but was so raw it looked like it had just been cut off the cow. I have attached a photo to show just how bad it was. It was rarer than rare, borderline inedible. To make matters worse, despite spending a considerable amount of money, we all left the restaurant hungry, angry, and completely unsatisfied. The waiter's attitude was rude and dismissive, and his lack of professionalism ruined our entire evening. It’s unbelievable that a place like this, with such terrible service and food quality, even exists in a city like Los Angeles. If you’re thinking about dining at Terra, don’t bother. This place is a complete disaster from start to finish. The service is horrendous, the food is appalling, and you'll leave feeling worse than when you came in. Stay away from this overpriced, overrated restaurant!
Horrible Ragu
Amazing view! I had lunch there yesterday. The appetizer, mozarella ( they claim was burrata but it absolutely wasn’t) and grilled peach was god and interesting. Then I had ragu for main course. Lord have mercy! What ragu? It was pasta with chunks of pork sausage. Disgusting! You serve this in Italy nobody would come to your restaurant. It was an insult to pasta ragu. And by the way in Italy you will never ever find ragu made with pork. What a shame. If it wasn’t for the amazing view, the good appetizer and good service I wouldn’t give this restaurant 1 single star. If you read this review please do something about that joke and insult of the ragu that you have! That’s not ragu. That’s sausage with pasta.

The cocktails and the wine section worth every dollar we ended up doing a bottle from Napa from 2009, it was amazing! The ahi tar tar was very good and so was the stake. Spagetti with meatballs was alright wouldn't go out of my way for it. The one problem we had was we made a reservations a month in advance for the main dining room but we ended up being seated 30 minutes late at the behind the bar table. It was very small for 3 people but we managed.
Something Italian for everyone
I’ve been to Eataly in LA, Vegas, and Chicago but the LA location will always have a special place in my heart. This Eataly is an expansive Italian specialty market, separated into sections by dessert, coffee, cheese, dining area, wine selection, and fresh market. Highly recommend checking out La Pizza and La Pasta. My favorite pasta dish is the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. My hubby likes the Margherita "a Ruota di Carro”, which is a solid choice if you’re in the mood to share a pizza. Don’t skip the cannolis at Eataly. They are exceptional, and you can’t go wrong with the original. The shell is crispy and the filling is nice and creamy. The LA location is solid but I personally vote for the Chicago one as the best.

We were warmly greeted by Nicole and an old friend Ashley when my wife and I first walked in acknowledging that it was my sweetheart's birthday. This was our very FIRST visit to this restaurant. It was however all down hill from there. Bread was brought to the table and unfortunately the busboy knocked over the table lamp which crashed and broke my water glass saturating the entire table in front of me. Accidents do happen but instead of changing the table cloth they put two napkins over the saturated area which remained soaked throughout dinner. The table side Caesar salad was delicious. When my wife's pasta dish came to the table I had to wait 10 minutes for my entree (a $96 bone in veal chop parmigiana) to come. The server we had was very nice and had warned me of how big the veal dish was. He said I would have another dinner tomorrow. He was right. The veal was excellent and I ate only half. We asked to take home the leftover pasta and veal. A doggy bag was brought to our table before dessert. When the dessert was delivered I truly thought at least a candle would accompany the chocolate tart to celebrate my wife's birthday(acknowledging the event when we checked in)but sadly it was not the case. We paid the bill and left somewhat disappointed. What then made the entire situation even worse is when walking to the car I realized that the half of my veal dish was missing from the bag. I quickly went back and after searching was told it was probably given to someone else. (Nice surprise) The manager offered to "fire up" another one while I wait but I declined to wait around. He then said he would make a note in the system so that on the next visit I would get the replacement. Based on the evening's experience I am truly not sure there will be a next time.

I made reso's a month in advance, and got obsessive texts about it. If your party doesn't show up, you are charged $50/person. Our reso was 7:30, we were seated at 8:15. They gave free drinks, like that fixed the expectation and it barely did. Our server, Jack, and the bartenders are the only compliments this place deserves. The food is wildly salty, WILDLY.. it all showed up super late. Not worth the prices. Go to Isabel instead

Went the first week of opening and have been back probably 10x since! Love this cozy spot and have always had great service from the hostess to the bartenders. The food is fab, (get the gigante beans omg!) bread service is the best & the cocktails are great. Nice to see people actually getting dressed to go out too- had enough of the lululemon gear & hoodie/sneakers folks as an outfit vibe lol It's a small menu in a small venue & it's not cheap- Seems like some of these funky reviews are from the crowd that would be better off going to the cheesecake factory down the street

While all Eataly locations are awesome, this was probably my least favorite La Pizza & La Pasta locations that I’ve been to. The vibe felt a little off, service wasn’t great but the food was still awesome. Amazing flavors from start to finish.

The food is marginal. You have to order everything at the same time and they bring everything out quick and plop it on your table. Drinks are small. The staff is horrible. Go absolutely anywhere else.

Sorry to say, we were disappointed in our experience the other night at La Dolce Vita when we dined with another couple, due primarily to the service. The server and the busboy were not coordinated and even got in each other's way. The busboy said he would bring us more focaccia bread but then the server came and told us that we could not have more only one. Our friends even offered to pay and still no more focaccia. We later asked for more of the other bread and it just never came. The appetizers for each person were not brought out at the same time and the same happened with the mains, again not coordinated. At desert time, one person wanted just vanilla gelato alone instead of the vanilla gelato desert and were told no. Speaking of Frank Sinatra, I guess the restaurant is set up to do it "my way". A couple of the dishes were very good, and a couple were average. For the price, we at least expected professional service. By the way, the red wines offered by the glass, only 3 available, ranged from $32 to $39! The atmosphere was nice, lively and busy, but are too many other options in the area for quality Italian fare. This one is OK but not for an upscale restaurant.

I've been here twice now, and both times were 5/5 stars.
Reservations are hard to come by, especially for prime time, but if you can plan in advance, it's worth it. I love the decor and vibes...moody, eccentric, cozy, and a fun throwback to the old Hollywood days. I highly recommend the shrimp fra diavola, bucatini al limoni, and branzino picatta. If you're with a larger party, don't skip the tableside caesar and veal parmigiana. Great drinks, friendly staff and servers, good times!

The three of us had lunch outdoors on a beautiful afternoon. We shared an appetizer and moved on to our light lunch. Food was very well prepared and service was excellent. Afterwards we shopped a little in the market place. Overall it was a very nice experience.

The price is for sure high, but the quality of food and service and most outstanding, the ambiance, is just so worth it for the price. Dont expect some mid range italian, its not, its fancy and it comes at a cost, but if you are prepared for that experience, its a lovely one. Good luck getting a res, use the res system waitlist, people cancel their standing res's sometimes. Or just go eat early or late and make friends with the hostess, they are all lovely people.

When we sat for dinner, the waiters were so helpful and attentive. The appetizers, pastas, entrees, and desserts were all delicious, the next better than the last. I love this place and highly recommend it! Quality Italian food, amazing drinks, great service, impeccable vibes!

Park in the nearby lot. Staff is very kind and helpful. I highly recommend getting a reservation which can be tough. It is a small romantic restaurant. Pricey with good portions but not impressive despite trying a variety of items including the Caesar salad, lemon pasta, manicotti, and branzino. The best item is the free bread. Unlikely to return

Got a late resy on a rainy Friday night with another couple to finally try this Beverly Hills Italian gem. Upon entering, the space is tight but the hostess got us checked in and directed us to the bar to grab some drinks while they got our booth ready. I ordered a filthy martini which was perfectly made and my Fiancé got a Peroni. The bar fits 6 people so not somewhere I'd stay at for much longer than a waiting period. 20 minutes later we were directed to our booth where there was a plaque that read "Reagans". They greeted our table with a complimentary drink and some bread with 3 condiments. The restaurant itself is small and dark with a very simplified and short menu. We ordered their octopus, tuna tartare and tableside caesar to start. Followed by their lemon bucatini(a must!) and steak. We finished it off with a spumoni ice cream and an espresso pudding which was super decadent! All in all, would return for the caesar and bucatini! Would recommend coming with a buffer of time as they do tend to take a while(30-40 minutes) in between courses.

The table side Caesar salad was delicious. Shrimp fra Diavlo had an amazing sauce and the shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. We thought the veal parm was the best we ever had! It was a huge portion even for 2. Friendly service. The ambiance is very cozy, but it smelled a little funky when we walked in - not sure what it was. Overall, highly recommend! A great meal.

Another outstanding meal! Pizza is next level good - the crust, everything - the best! We had the Massese pizza which is with spicy salami- it was “just right”!!! Simple pasta - so good and light. Arugula, bright and tasty! Meatballs - just like Mama’s!!!! Service was impeccable! And the Prosecco - perfect with dinner. Summary - some of the best pizza and Italian in the city - all in a fun like your in Italy world!!!

Great food with a range of choice on the menu. We had a pizza each which were freshly cooked and delicious! Our server was friendly and polite and made sure that we had everything which we needed during our visit. After our meal we bought some gelato from the gelato shop downstairs which was very good! Would highly recommend visiting!

I only asked for the gelato cup med. Too few tastes for me!! (Argentinian ice-cream fan ) so I only asked for two different kind of ice cream tastes.The price was a little expensive (nearly 9 USD for an ice-cream!!)
Gone down the tubes-needs new management
Our family lives close by and so we have taken our family to lunch there each time we visit and also pick up Italian snacks to take home with us. We also end our lunch with some gelato. This past month we did our family lunch there and it will be the last. The food quality has gotten so bad. We ordered the ravioli with marjoram. The ravioli was hard pasta and I don’t mean Al dente! Almost no filling and full of oregano and not marjoram. We know good Italian food and this was awful. The gelato has become a joke served in ice cream tubs and NOT gelato. All that we ordered was shameful and just some bad corporate food. The Italian owners need to eat there and see what it has become. Fa schifo

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* BraveCloth47, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* BraveCloth47 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to BraveCloth47 for any questions Peter may have as BraveCloth47 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* BraveCloth47 now uses their connections at La Dolce Vita Beverly Hills to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If BraveCloth47 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, BraveCloth47 receives the $200 reward which is credited to BraveCloth47's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
