L'Abysse au Pavillon Ledoyen - Yannick Alléno Avenue Dutuit Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Japanese taste experience and real dinner
Everything is incredibly selected with care, passion and precision We tried the omakase: it was an explosion of flavors and taste discoveries In any case, I expected to stay “hungry” but we actually had dinner
We have fun
The room is bright, at the bar, we turn our backs on the landscape. The street food appetizer did not bode well for the future. Lots of staff, not always busy, but too stuffy either. The menu was top notch, except perhaps the somewhat lazy "molecular" dessert.
Perfect harmony
Well, needless to say that after that, the Sam3 menu at your favorite local Japanese restaurant will have a completely different flavor! Everything is exceptional, from the basic ingredients (rice, wasabi, ginger) to the most sophisticated (caviar, sea urchin, pike roe, toro etc.). Those who have had the chance to taste the best sushi in Japan will find this unique know-how with a very wide diversity of fish. But there is even better: the desserts (if I may say so, the usual weak point of Japanese cuisine) of such finesse that we regret having overdone the previous savory dishes a little. A special mention for the signature dessert (button mushroom ice cream, maple syrup, sobacha nougatine). And, of course, the service is attentive and, when you can be at the counter, it’s better!
Great experience
The best Japanese restaurant in Paris. No doubts. Worth every penny. A real experience, great cuisine, service needs some improvement but all in all I give 5/5.
an exceptional taste parenthesis
Exceptional moment, exotic setting, smiling and very attentive staff, delicious food, a pure treat, everything is beautiful and good, the presentations are careful, the chefs cook in front of you, it is done with finesse and always with a smile, perfection is here Chef Alléno tours the customers, well done!
An elegant balance btwn French and Japanese cuisines
The location by itself is exceptional in the heart of Paris: large space, parking on the spot, in a prime location. The dining at the counter is a surprising experience but overall very positive. The menu offers a perfect balance btwn 2 cuisines, where one is dominated by the extreme simplicity of it (and it actually is the product by itself that shines, more than anything else) and the the other one is dominated by a work and an assembly of tastes to provide a rich dish and a succession of flavors. The sommelier makes a perfect mastery of his wine list and executes really well the delicate exercise of pairing with sake instead of wine. The dessert is an exceptional creation from the pastry chef: a leaf being cooked in liquid nitrogen, to be eaten on the spot for real shivering! A perfect 2 stars, where some dishes are know to you and are elevated, while others are totally unknown.
Very nice Japanese dining experience
We had a couple dinner with my wife and what a great Japanese culinary experience we had. Everything was excellent from starter to dessert with the discovery of new flavors. Small downside: the price. Indeed, if you take the omakase menu (which we tasted) prepare your purses. The price was softened by the warm welcome given to us and by the team in the room. Indeed, the latter was extraordinary in her professionalism (she took the time to answer all our questions), discreet, smiling, anticipating the slightest constraints (I was made to change places so that the culinary experience I was going to live better). We ate next to a former minister and in our opinion there was no difference in treatment between the two tables. Special mention to Mr Badou and his colleague (unfortunately I don't remember his first name) don't change anything, you made this moment unforgettable. thank you
A real experience
Incredible experience with excellent Japanese dishes (omakase). Special mention for the tuna 'seared' in broth, meltingly tender. The mushroom-based dessert.... Incredible. Welcome and explanations of remarkable dishes. And the discovery of sake on the advice of the waiter, a real plus.
Exceptional Japanese lunch
An exceptional lunch, quality and flavors of different Japanese dishes that leave us speechless It's going to be hard to eat sushi again in the near future Congratulations to chef Yasunari Okazaki and his brigade for this wonderful moment as well as to chef Yannick Alléno for knowing how to surround himself with the right people, regardless of position. The 2 deserved stars Stéphane & Nathalie

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
