Sad to say, the star worth of the Lahaina dining experience burned the ground and the building it was in an August 8, 2023. It'll be sorely lost as will the rest of the town. Please pray and donate to the Organization called mauistrong.com. Aloha for now " Friends of the Lahaina Grill"

It's just not the same staying in Maui without Lahaina Grill. We did Mama's. They're 5 stars, but they aren't Lahaina Grill.
Be the first to ReplyHopefully they come back soon.
.. It's expensive. There's no ands-ifs-buts about it. It just is... But the food was so very good. Overall, we also experienced excellent service here with one caveat. They brough out our entree before we finished our app. But they quickly realized their mistake and whisked it away. We worried they would just put in under a heat lamp until we were ready. But nope. The food tasted fresh and perfect when they eventually brought it out... In any case, we had an excellent meal!! Our wagyu ravioli and monchong entrees (a special that day) were absolutely perfect. Just perfect and excellent. This place is pricey, but given the ambiance, the quality of service, and quality of the food, it's worth it...
Be the first to ReplyWe dined at the Lahaina Grill on our honeymoon in 1999.
We visited again in 2019 with our teenage son and daughter. The best restaurant we have ever experienced. Lahaina and it's people are special and wonderful. Those of us who have experienced the aloha spirit have an obligation to help rebuild and restore.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the finest restaurants I have ever eaten at.
Food fabulous. Service magnificence. Ambiance the best. Will be greatly missed

We were here before the fires and had an outstanding memorable last meal before our flight out. It was so hard to leave this beautiful island, amazing restaurant ... we absolutely loved everything we were served.

My heart breaks for the loss of the Lahaina grill and Lahaina Inn, and of course all of Lahaina. I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in the country as well as Europe and Lahaina grill was at the top of that list. I pray for the staff and owners and will be donating to help Maui as well as the go fund me set up for Lahaina grill employees. I pray you rebuild and I'll be first in line for reservations. All my prayers , love and heartfelt gratitude for the memories.
Be the first to ReplyI go to fine dinning restaurants often.
We enjoy high end fine dining. We have no problem spending min 250 dollars per person as we did at this establishment. Our server was amazing. The food was mediocre. Sergio and Brittany the managers were so incredibly rude. The other elderly patrons were rude. If you want to have a good time, and speak above a murmur, this is not the place. You will spend a nice amount of money but it is not worth it. Go to Fleetwoods or Merrimans or Mamas fish house. I was so disappointed and just really sad about the whole experience. I will never be back.
Be the first to ReplyTotal disappointment.
My wife and I had dined here 4 years ago, and we were looking forward to returning. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good, the management was terrible and the overall experience was a let down. To make it all worse, they overcharge for a less than medicocre experience. Sad to share that we won't be returning.
Be the first to ReplyDONT!!!! The managers are idiots.
The worst service I've ever had. Very much so bullied us because of favoritism. Not to mention, a cockroach ran over my foot! Disgusting. Like are you serious!! They comped my one meal but really?! We had an $800 bill. The service people are horrible and the food is mediocre and the drinks??? Not worth it. Actually a boring spot. If you're fun or have any personality...DO NOT GO!!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service was out of this world.
We were celebrating our 5th year anniversary and would have been happy with the incredible food there but they made the experience 10x more special with a professional photo, a gift of a small painting, and a dessert trio. We ate the wagyu ravioli, pink snapper special and the ahi. We were blown away by each dish. We will be back!!

Great service & food! I recommend the Warm Pecan Crusted Goat Cheese and Baby Arugula Salad, Tequila Shrimp and Firecracker Rice, Maui onion soup and the meatballs!
Be the first to ReplySimply put the front hostess was a rude and condescending.
Absolutely full of herself. I don't think I have seen a more snobby response to people than at home in Newport Beach CA. Absolutely going down hill. Will never go again and will make sure Harrison the GM at Ritz is aware.

Food was great, service is excellent! Scottie and his team made our night so amazing. Warm, welcoming, great recommendations (anything with the morel mushroom sauce is the way to go). Best service hands down, had a bday dinner at Mama's and it was good, ambiance is nice but nothing memorable, but Lahaina grill will definitely be a long lasting memory. Best place to eat on the island if you want a fancy dinner.

This is the first time Ive left a review while still in the restaurant. First, the customer service is second to none. We didn't anticipate our Uber driver being so far away, so not only did we show up nearly 30 minutes late to our reservation, but it was right before closing. We felt so bad we already decided what we were going to order before we got there. We were greeted with a smile and our server, Richard, never made us feel like the kitchen was closing in 1 minute. He was extremely pleasant, funny, and made excellent recommendations, which honestly, based on the reviews, you probably can't go wrong with anything. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife a Bee Sting. I love old fashions and told my wife this was probably the best I've had. It was very strong and flavorful at the same time, which is hard to do. We starred with Wagyu Beef Ravioli - excellent! We dipped our courtesy bread in the ravioli sauce and it was also excellent! Thanks for that recommendation Richard! I even spilled some of the sauce on my shirt and from a distance, Richard noticed what happened and brought me a cleaning wipe. My wife ordered the fish of the day; which was a Hawaiian name I won't try to spell but it was Pink Snapper. My wife said and I quote, "This is the best fish I have ever had!" I got the Duroc pork chop and it was succulent and so flavorful. We ended with Road to Hana dessert and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream from Lapperts - Amazing. To top it off, I was blown away by the additional service we received from Michelle and the owner. I almost drowned from drinking so much water because michelle never let our glasses go to empty. She was so attentive. The owner introduced himself and checked in a few times to make sure we were satisfied. What's amazing is the fact that this restaurant has so many reviews and is already established, but they treat their customers like they're the only ones in the restaurant and like they just opened that day. It totally makes sense why they've won so many awards, including #1 restaurant in the US!

Set in quaint Lahaina near shopping and beautiful views. Great ambience for fine dining. Wine list was good but a bit pricey for the quality. The food was excellently presented and flavorful. Some unique dishes to savor. Another must while in Maui

New fav restaurant in Maui Booked a 5pm reservation the night before You know the service is excellent when they roll your napkin if you leave the table and bring out the crumb sweepers We ordered the wagyu ravioli and the caviar deviled eggs for appetizers. TBH I think the deviled egg overpowers the caviar. The creamy mushroom sauce on the ravioli is the same sauce as the veal chop and is TDF Bread is served warm (I HATE restaurants serve bread cold), with a house butter that is also amazing. For entrees we ordered the scallops, veal chop and the seafood special which was a monchong (if you don't know what that is you should look up a pic because I did not expect it to look like that) the veal chop was AMAZING and it came with a morel mushroom sauce, risotto, maui onion, tomato, asparagus, and carrotscallops were p good too seafood special monchong was a 9/10 sauce was spectacular dessert sampler was enough for 3-4 people i'd say crรจme brรปlรฉe and berry pie were my top two we also got the chocolate cake with alpert's ice cream and the peanut butter thing cocktails were good also, the pho cocktail is different if you want to try that too

Dining at Lahaina Grill needs to be booked well in advance and the reservationist was very pleasant and accommodating. Early in the evening of Feb 13,2023 our spirited party of seven celebrated our adult daughter's birthday. We were seated in a semi private area with a lovely centerpiece and the owner warmly offered personal congratulations. Our libations and dinners were perfection. A special thanks to our most attentive, charming, and classy server. We also were able to reconnect with the very knowledgeable and personable Sommelier. Truly a wonderful experience and we eagerly look forward to returning soon. Mahalo Scott & Marci, Michigan

It was UHmazing!!! The food was great and the service was excellent! We both had the seafood chowder. Hubby had the duck and I had the braised short rib, both with a side of roasted corn. Everything was beautifully presented and the portions were very generous. It was a special occasion and they helped us celebrate with a slice of triple berry pie and a card. OMG, that berry pie was sooo good! I am not exaggerating when I say that it was so delicious, it gave me goosebumps! We were so full when we walked out. We would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks so much for a deliciously memorable evening!

WOW. Trust me, just make the reservations and eat here during your trip to Maui. Lahaina Grill was recommended to me by a local for my trip to Maui. We were celebrating my partner's big milestone birthday and wanted somewhere special that we could create a lasting memory. Lahaina grill delivered! I made reservations 3 months in advance to our trip. Lahaina Grill staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The host greeted my partner by name and wished him a happy birthday, we got a digital photo sent to us that was taken at our table, and the entire staff signed a birthday card. A ++++ on service. Now the food. We started with the Caviar Deviled Eggs and the Dungeness Crab and Lobster Cake. The Deviled Eggs were loaded with Caviar. A mouthful of eggs in every bite. The Crab and Lobster cake was filled with meat. Lacking the typical filler here - no complaints ;) Our entrees were absolutely stunning in appearance and flavor. My partner had the Sesame Crusted Ahi. A huge tender chunk of Ahi under perfectly roasted sesame crust. Savory with a slight sweet flavor from the caramelized Maui Onions. I had the Parmesan Crusted Monchong special. We had never heard of Monchong. It's apparently a deep sea Hawaiian fish. Cooked perfectly with every flaky delicate bite filled accompanied with saffron risotto. The entrees were sized accordingly to the price and was very filling. Finally, a Triple Berry Pie came out for dessert with a blue candle for birthday wishes. The triple berry pie was great. Not overly sweet and big enough for two. We would definitely visit Lahaina Grill again. It was the highlight meal of our trip!

Our experience was wonderful! It was great from cocktails, to appetizers, to main course, and our wait staff! Buddy was personable and very knowledgeable about the food & cocktails. We were more than satisfied with our experience.

First- you MUST make reservations here well in advance! We were very lucky and we were able to get in for a 5:00pm seating a few weeks before we arrived. We celebrated my fiancรฉ's birthday here last night and we were blown away! The service is unquestionably the best we've seen here so far! You not only do you get one outstanding server (Jeremy), you also get a second one that assists (Ron) and these two guys made us feel so special!! Personable and white glove service from the time you walk in! ย I love that they let me use a table hook to hang my bag - so cute! Jeremy's knowledge of wine and descriptions never disappointed us! And the food - well my pictures don't do justice to what the chef prepared! ย The fish is so fresh and cooked perfectly, light and tender and oh so rich! They start you with their homemade rolls and herbed butter and then we ordered the bufala & tomato salad split for each of us. Then had to try the Maui onion soup ย so since and smooth and - cheesy!! We ordered the special mongfish and the mahi mahi, both were outstanding! First time trying mongfish and it's so worth it! Then they surprised us with a berry pie for his birthday and we ordered cappuccinos topped with homemade biscotti!! Needless to say we rolled out of there so delighted and full! ย We hope to get back here again but if not, they left their mark on us!
Be the first to ReplyThe quintessential place to eat in Lahaina.
So delightful. So consistent. Such a lovely menu food and vino. You won't be disappointed, ย We've been coming yearly just about since 1985. When we don't make it we always leave Maui regretting we didn't try harder! One classy romantic delightful place to dine! White table cloths too boot! ย Not disappointing remember! Pricey but as you know by now you get what you pay for! Relax enjoy and I promise you you will return!
Be the first to ReplyAfter reviewing the menu and prices we considered
After reviewing the menu and prices we considered canceling, but based on the stellar reviews we decided we had to try it. And, while we expected a near-Michelin star culinary experience, this sadly was not. Things started out well, we were greeted and promptly seated at a nice table. Our server assistant brought us warm rolls and herbed butter which was tasty. For drinks we got the Paloma, Bee Sting and a crown royal. Specialty drinks were ok - nothing special for ~$20 a drink. The crown royal pour was on the small side, which is always a disappointment that feels somewhat cheap for a restaurant of these prices and caliber. For appetizers we had the wagyu beef ravioli, onion soup, ahi poke, and Buffala tomato salad. We agree with everyone - the ravioli is something special 5/5. Onion soup was also 5/5. The other two were relative disappointments, especially the ahi, which had very little flavor. If you're a big raw fish lover definitely skip this. Tomato salad was adequate. For the mains we split the seafood special monchong fish and veal chop plus creamed spinach and corn sides. The fish was another special item 5/5. The veal was average - have had better at a steakhouse. Corn was ok. Spinach was poor, we left nearly a full bowl for the server to clear - never asked if we had any issues with it or the food. By that point we were ready to go and try our luck at dessert elsewhere. Sad to say our service was very average, no personality, just doing their job - very different from what we read in other reviews. We drove an hour from Wailea to try this place, and it's hard to believe we will be one of the few below 5 star ratings, but honestly, if you've had top tier fine dining, this won't even compare. I even feel a little generous giving this a 4 (but I don't want to be that crazy sub-4 star not taken seriously). This is solid but not inspiring food that would be acceptable at half the price.
