Disappointing for the amount charged!
The food was very disappointing for the amount charged. My Dorset crab was as flat as a pancake with a bare minimum garnish/accompaniment - even in Marks and Spencer’s does it come on a bed of egg or something. I literally had about 8 fries in my portion of French Fries! If you are going to charge over £100 per head, you’ll need to up your game.
Be the first to ReplyA lovely lunch venue.
Lovely buzzy atmosphere and very good service. Unfortunately our sparkling wine choice was not chilled so an alternative was available. The food is exceptional. The only comment I would make is that the Dover sole-grilled-has a large number of scorch marks along each fillet which were very strong and did affect the flavour of the fish.Renovations are occurring but we will certainly visit again. A nice experience.
Be the first to ReplyAn event not just a restaurant
We have wanted to visit this place for sometime now. We went for a family celebration and It exceeded our expectations. The whole experience was a real event. I like the expectations of the Dress code which made it feel special. The staff were polite and welcoming, we then went upstairs for cocktails which were excellent and reasonably priced. The decor and staff upstairs were also excellent, the food was exceptional and all of our party agreed it was some of the best food we’d ever tasted. I can highly recommend the risotto. We were not rushed and we felt completely relaxed. We spent the whole evening there and were one of the last to leave. We will certainly return, we loved everything about the experience and I would highly recommend a visit to this place.
Be the first to ReplyIt’s a waiting game.
I arrived early for the reservation made by a friend and was shown to the lounge to wait. She was already there and had ordered a drink. After we greeted each other the person who had showed me where to go has disappeared . A short while later the other member of our party joined us. We sat chatting and suddenly realised that we hadn’t been called to our table although it was 10 minutes after the time we had booked and I had been there for at least 20 minutes. We were then approached by a woman who asked if we wanted any drinks. We said we were waiting to be called to our table so she disappeared and someone else generously took us through. We were offered menus and had to ask specifically for the Prix fixe Menu. We ordered and eventually our food arrived which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. When it was made clear we wanted no extras , apart from one glass of wine, we were rather ignored. No one asked us how our meal was. When we wanted to pay we had to ask twice for the bill. It is unnecessary to add that optional extra of 15 % gratuity, we are not living in America. I am always happy to add to a bill if the service and food has been good. Also a cover charge at lunch time seems to be a little over the top especially as the restaurant was almost empty with us and two other tables, one of which was really loud but what can you expect when a party of four got through 4 bottles of wine. The only redeeming feature to my mind was the lovely receptionist who greeted us in and out. Will not be visiting again neither will I be recommending the place.

We went to Langan’s our first night in London. The atmosphere is beautiful as was the level of service. I had the salmon which had the most delicious sauce. I recommend this restaurant
Be the first to ReplyA perfect Mothers day treat
I came here on sunday with my Mum for Mothers Day( a return visit) and it was perfect. I had booked a couple of months in advance so had requested a window table and they were kindly able to accommodate that. The cocktails were delicious as usual and the staff very attentive( without being overbearing) We had a roast dinner each( chicken and the veggie option) and shared a sticky toffee pudding. Really tasty. A great experience and looking forward to visiting again
Be the first to ReplyOverated and Disappointing
Awful food, and stuck up staff. The food was probably some the worst food I have eaten in a restaraunt, disappointing. I have eaten better fish pie from a supermarket. When we complained the staff were rude and unsympathetic. We carried on upstairs to their bar which was drab and dated.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic New Years Eve early bird
We were looking for something early evening on New Years Eve as we had plans elsewhere later on for Midnight celebrations. Easier said than done. I was reintroduced to Langan’s a few months prior and had enjoyed it and been a few times. So, I booked early bird. It was fantastic. First class service and I mean first class. Great atmosphere and stunning food with a great set menu. It was also excellent value, when so many west end restaurants just try to rip you off these days on premium events. A little live music, no rush, despite a second sitting following. Set us up for a great night. We will be back.

Amazing food and service. We really felt special and were looked after impeccably. It was my sisters birthday and they provided her with a small celebratory desert which was such a lovely touch. For a special treat it really lived up to our expectations.
Be the first to ReplyReturning after years
We were so looking forward to going back to Langan’s after a good many years and although almost perfect it was still a wonderful place to go. It was my friend’s birthday and she had a card placed on the table, which I might add was in a wonderful position and an after lunch macaroon with a candle in it - small touches but appreciated. Atmosphere, decor, service were all impeccable. I’m in a low fat diet for health reasons and the waiter adapted the menu and made suggestions for me. The sommelier gave us a complimentary chilled glass of Prosecco as the bottle we’d ordered wasn’t chilled enough to service. The food was very good until it got to my Caesar salad. The prawns were delicious but there was far too much lettuce and the egg was an egg crumb! No pieces of egg to speak of. Perhaps that’s a personal preference but it was very disappointing when the rest of the experience was superb. Special mention too to the ladies at the front of house - what a delight there were.

Well folks this meal we had was a memorable one and omg so tasty I think I'll never forget it. Having read all the reviews before our visit I was pondering if it was going to be the right choice as they were quite mixed and negative but how wrong were those reviews. To provide context I'm a lady that likes her food being 13 st and 5 foot 4 ! And I have to tell you you'd better just share every dish as it's so rich and glorious.. I saw various dishes and they looked sumptuous (beef tartare / the fish and chips again omg how tasty looking ) We had the bread and olives the souffle and smoked salmon for starters then the short rib of beef with chips and potato gratin, we were beautifully stuffed to perfection and the staff were delightfully attentive and not overbearing. Afterwards we were allowed upstairs to the equally dazzling private members club for a post dinner drink omg the whiskey was soooo smooth. So be off with you to Langans its not overly cheap but the house wine and meals they serve up you won't leave there disappointed you'll be very happy.Oh and did I mention the decor !! there was a David Hockney self portrait on the wall ...

Went to Langan’s on a Sunday evening after visits to Apsley House and Spencer House. Very warm welcome from the hostesses and had a drink in the bar area before dinner. Then through to the restaurant where we had a delicious meal with excellent service. Couldn’t fault it at all. The 15% service charge is a bit steep but we had a lovely evening.
Be the first to ReplyBest experience ever
It was my partner's birthday and our first visit to the restaurant. It was the best experience I've ever had. We had a very warm welcoming and even though there was some technical issues in the restaurant, they still could accommodate us and make it special. We had an onion soup and Dorset crab for a starters . We had a John Dory and monkfish tale which was cooked to the perfection, you can choose your way of cooking. There is child selection as well which was the case . Service was very attentive and not disturbing. Would I have a meal here again? Yes. with no doubt! Highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyIt was fine.
Visited pre-theatre. * Service was impeccable. *Wine list was expensive, really, Langan’s should offer some wines that are a little more reasonably priced. *Main meal was fine. *Desserts were horrendously overpriced for what you got. Really, it was…fine. Just…fine. What can I say? It was just a little underwhelming really. My thanks to the staff though, who were very attentive.
Be the first to ReplyA Wonderful evening at Langans
We recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at Langans for Valentines day. The greeting at the door was wonderful, as was the service the whole evening. Each member of staff was great and the dietary requirements were noted and dishes adjusted by the kitchen accordingly. The atmosphere was fantastic and the live music was a terrific touch for the occasion! The food was 10/10, each course was beautifully prepared and delicious. We can't wait to return soon.
Be the first to ReplyA sad return
My wife booked this for my 70th birthday as pre covid it was our favourite restaurant for the previous 10 years. We had a very nice reception at the door and was shown to our table by the excellent staff. We were shown the al a carte menus but had to ask for the set menu. Had we not checked online we would not have known there was a set menu. We had the fish pie which was very good and a hearty portion and the Dover sole which was unexceptional. The crispy Brussels were acrid and inedible and was taken off the bill. We ordered the deserts which were fine and then the waiter brought up a portion of chocolate cheesecake on a birthday plate with a small candle. A nice touch but not appropriate after already eating a Rum Baba. The mill feuille was not available. The bill was a £162 including 2 glasses of sparkling wine and 15% service charge. We quiered the price of the wine (£30) because it looked like the on the menu it was £5 per glass but that was the page number. It was a silly error on my part. Where do you pay £5 in a restaurant.! But we heard the waiters laughing about it which was a bit humiliating. We would love to return at some point because the decor and location are so good but it needs to improve in the the food offering and I need to feel that it is value for money.

Incredible place. And love the refurb - much more slick & contemporary, yet still with that sense of timeless elegance. Super wine list. Loved the cheese truffle gougeres. Plenty of new vegetarian choices since my last visit. Great cheeseboard. Discreet service. FABULOUS!
Be the first to ReplyA pleasant dining experience in the center of London
We visited Langan's during our recent visit to London. We had been there several times before during previous visits to London. The food was good as usual but the place was extremely noisy and we found that the tables were too close together.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Christmas lunch
We had a wonderful Christmas lunch here after enjoying it last year. The food is delicious, portions good, service friendly and efficient. Only negatives were that the crackers were rubbish and the magician never made it to our table!

A belated birthday celebration of 2 lady friends. We went at the in between time of 4pm. The room was quiet, but we had the warmest of welcomes from our waitress Aga and the other staff. We remember this as our favourite restaurant in the late ‘80s, and it was still a great experience. Food was perfect. The signature dish of spinach soufflé was bringing back happy memories. We both ordered the salmon which was beautifully cooked. Highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyGreat Lunch
Had a great lunch, crab and beef cheeks with a good bottle of wine. Food and service was great. Very nice ambiance. It is pricey but you do get what you pay for. Will come back with the wife.

Be the first to ReplySuperb Restaurant in a nice location
An excellent restaurant serving great food at a fair price. All the staff were so nice, friendly and courteous nothing was too much trouble. Very good variety on the menu and good size portions. Would certainly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, service, location and style
I like it all, the location, the decor style, the service, and the amazing food. The gratinated french onion soup was superb, extremely well cooked. Then the classic Landan’s Fish pie for two, which is a delitious dish. Very luckily two of us in the table wanted to order it, so we could have it. It is a must. They use salmon, haddock, cod, scallops, prawns and mussels. All of it in a pie with an extraordinary sauce. That’s definetely a place to go again.
