Unique service , unique hotel .
Excellent location in between the Netherlands and south of France , Spain. Tournus is beautiful and has many fine restaurants. The hotel is in the middle of town and has its own gated parking . The service of the hotel is outstanding; super friendly. Rooms are comfortable and have it all , from comfortable beds till espresso machine. On top a super price quality !

Positive points like the friendliness of the staff, comfortable bedding and a very decent breakfast. However, the 4 stars are not justified because the rooms are small and the decor is aging... Moreover, the title "Hotel and spa suggests that the customer benefits from this advantage! This is not the case: 1 hour of jacuzzi is charged 25€ per person, or 100€ for 4!! Prohibitive price and not very acceptable when comparing to the offers of other establishments with heated indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi etc.

A hotel with crazy charm!! Our room (100) was spacious and comfortable. The bedding is really cozy and cocooning. The view of the abbey is very pleasant. The private spa is great. Very clean and complete. A real pleasure and a very appreciable moment of relaxation. Breakfast in front of the fireplace is a very pleasant time to start the day. Very good value for money with pastries and a nice range of savory products. The smile is present as much at departure as at arrival. Always a kind word... See you soon.

I have been coming to this hotel since 2012. Very cozy, warm and comfortable hotel. Very good bedding. Beautiful woodwork. Very good breakfast. And above all a really great welcome. Mr. Pierre and Mrs. Céline…. With a kindness that pleases. I will return there with pleasure.

A charming welcome, the place is magnificent with ample free secure parking. Ideal for a short stay or a stopover. We sleep well in comfortable and very quiet rooms. If we had to find a small point for improvement it would be the quality of the pastries, it's a detail We will return there often
Be the first to ReplyA stone's throw from the abbey
It is a 4-star Relais et Châteaux right next to the abbey, therefore comfortable and rather luxurious (however the sink in room 205 - on the courtyard - deserves to be changed, we have no doubt that the management will see to it) , and quiet. The staff is very friendly, especially the young girl who welcomed us in the afternoon. We only had breakfast which was very decent and we should have added a few euros to enjoy cold meats, cheese and eggs, which we did not want due to the planned lunch. We promise to come back, and this time we will have lunch at its gourmet restaurant or at its more affordable bistro.

Charming welcome. The smile, the simplicity. Bedroom on the third floor. Spacious and charming room with a huge, super comfortable bed. Bathroom in its original form (1970s:) with a toilet “separated” by a dangerous removable wall (we smashed our toes) and this toilet is tiny…. A single dose of shower gel for two, a bit limited. This is the only negative point, this bathroom. The breakfast at 21 euros is perfect with eggs, cold meats and cheeses. (The one for 15 euros is basic). What makes the establishment so enjoyable is the staff who are just wonderful in their kindness, simplicity and efficiency.
Be the first to ReplyAn Old Favourite that need to modernise
You cannot fault the staff in this hotel as they do everything to help you. A young man came dashing out with the trolley for our luggage before we had finished parking the car. BUT ... the rooms are old fashioned and the owners of the hotel have not modernised the rooms. Many travellers today require rooms with a shower, as if they are 'getting on' like us, a bath is not at all easy to use. Despite all our efforts and with the help of the staff, there were no rooms with a shower available despite fact that the hotel was not at all full.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Hotel, great view, great staff!!
Yes we came back again and everything was as we remembered it. Lovely rooms with a view of the abbey. Easy walking to everything in Tournus. Nice restaurants nearby. Wonderful breakfasts with fresh squeezed orange juice. Great staff that is willing to help with anything that you need. All in all, this is a lovely place to stay!!
Be the first to ReplyTraditional, historical and perfectly located
the Hotel de Greuze is an establishment of style and character with the most helpful, kind staff who like their guests to be comfortable. We had a charming, well furnished deluxe double room with a spacious bathroom and separate toilet. The best thing, of course, was the requested outlook on to St Philibert's Abbey which began life as a monastery in the fourth century AD. We had the constant chimes of the clock tower as our neighbours! The walled front garden is delightful, with ivy and roses, a sanctuary where you can sit and have coffee in the morning or a glass of Burgundy wine in the evening, or any time of day!. The abbey square at the back of the hotel was designated pedestrian only during our stay so that the little cafés and shops were peaceful places to visit. The staff went out of their way to arrange medical attention for my husband who'd suffered an accident shortly before our arrival. We unreservedly recommend the Hotel de Greuze as the place to stay in Tournus. Don't neglect to stroll through the Saturday local produce market in the old town.

Booked this apartment for my husband’s 60th birthday….everything was perfect! Thank you so much 😊 Apartment was very clean and comfortable. The welcoming bottle of sparkling wine, cake and bowl fruit was such a lovely surprise. Very central and easy to get around. We will definitely be back

I had a wonderful 10 day stay here. I'm not the usual type of guest, I think, since my aim was to spend my time cycling around the south Burgundy countryside visiting vineyards and Romanesque churches, so I tended to be wearing cycling garb quite a lot. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, the room was good (though the Wifi was weak), and breakfast on the terrace in the pleasant morning air a dream. All in all I had a great stay here.
