Great vibe and view but will try and rip you off adding 16% tax ontop of listed prices
Great views, great vibe and food presentation. The actual floor staff are very friendly. Good food. Not worth the price but you're paying for views atmosphere and experience. They do not include the 16% tax in their prices! So the expensive price you see in the menus does not include another 16%. Some online are saying this is actually illegal, although I've also read it's just frowned upon. When I saw this I decided to give a 10% tip (I felt this was more than fare considering they know they are surprising you with a large extra fee anyway). This annoyed the manager greatly who became rude as we left. Wish I had given 0%.

The place is uncomfortable, the decoration does not excite me, the careless service and the food is average and expensive for what they offer. It's an overrated place with a confusing mix of food.
Be the first to ReplySummary of a dinner, weekday
I was lucky enough to visit this restaurant and, given the varied reviews I was able to read before going and the final result of my particular experience, I share some general conclusions that may help others. First of all, it is a place for which you must request a reservation. The atmosphere there is good, very good. Suitable for tourists and families, also couples and even businesses, because it is a large space with well-differentiated areas. The music and light mentioned above are appropriate to the environment: the volume increases as the hours go by to usher in the night where everything is more relaxed; The soft lighting allows the privileged views to still be appreciated through the large windows after sunset (instead of the reflection in the windows). The tables in the gazebo are small, for the most part. The interiors have variety. The smallest ones can scare us if we lean on them forcefully (they will look like they are lame), due to their design. I would have liked to try the bars, which offer a good view of the restaurant and the surroundings, but they assigned us to others, the lower ones where we had a very good time. The proposal of dishes is varied and the offer of prepared drinks and combinations is very successful. This invited you to enjoy the company and the particular environment more than simply tasting dishes that are creative, rich, tasty, filling... but they are neither delicatessen nor do they pretend to be. The dessert menu is somewhat limited: ice creams and cakes with a curious presentation. Compensate with the aforementioned drinks, which ask to accompany the conversation that arises before and, above all, after dinner. And yes, they are very well prepared and measured. The prices are nothing contained. The more time you spend there and the more you consume, the larger the sum will be in the end. The service is attentive and efficient. A little cold at the reception, he invites us to take the elevators to the 13th floor and then to the 56th, forgetting that we are simple customers enjoying our moment of leisure and not employees of some corporation based in the gigantic building. In the restaurant they will show up and offer constant help, without it being annoying at all. On the contrary, they prevent you from feeling abandoned or waiting for their help during the evening, because they know how to detect when something is missing and when they should not interrupt. They are there to facilitate the visit and requests (not to make friends) and you will appreciate it, especially if the place is very full as was the case during my visit. Not one dish waiting, nor several accumulated. Everything arrived at its time, we were always supported by our waiters and their captains. Final advice and it is important: to be at the viewpoints or the terrace, in addition to the camera that will capture the good moment, it is prudent to bring some warm clothing and dress long because the heaters are insufficient. Especially as the night progresses. Take it from me that we were going too far.

Be the first to Replynothing to see
Nothing to do with what they publish on Instagram... disappointment. The neglected, dark place. nothing shocking for what they charge
Be the first to ReplyGreat place
I really liked visiting this place, the food was very delicious and the best thing for me was that it was not so spicy, something I also liked is that there was a lot of variety of food
Be the first to ReplyOverrated. If they don't give you a view, better go somewhere else.
I booked a week in advance specifying that I wanted a table with a view because I wanted to entertain a friend with a view who had just arrived from a visit to Mexico. I arrived before the time and although I pointed out several times that my reservation was with a table on the terrace, they ignored us and sat us wherever they wanted, and the food is not the best Asian in the area. The black cod dumpling was more dough than filling and the plum duck came dry and the sauce looked like it came from a BBQ package. The bull, the most tasteless I have ever tasted. On top of that, they heated the sake directly in the glass bottle. Incredible! They had to see us really upset to give us the table I reserved an hour later. An experience that should have been special turned into the most deplorable episode of my friend's visit to Mexico. This place owed me at least 5 recommendations to foreign friends but I don't think I will recommend it anymore.
Be the first to ReplyView of Chapultepec, Baked duck, excellent option
I went without a reservation to a brunch, the place is pretty cool, you appreciate the Chapultepec forest if you get a place on the balcony, try the duck lettuce, it's delicious

We had a disappointing experience at Ling Ling Restaurant. While Mario provided excellent service, the restaurant itself was disappointingly basic and lacked the unique qualities we might expect, especially considering its location inside the Ritz. Despite claims of a Michelin star, our experience was far from exceptional. The marketing felt deceptive, and the overall atmosphere was cookie-cutter and commercial, lacking the luxury and exclusivity promised. Unfortunately, the staff's behavior, including alleged instances of body slamming customers, further diminished any positive aspects. In a city with much better dining options, Ling Ling fell short, and we would not recommend it, giving it zero stars.
Be the first to ReplyNot worth 1 hr wait to be seated
The hostess made us wait for one hour for our 9:00 reservation, I had to call for the manager to be seated. Food has good, the sky-view spectacular we got great pics.
Be the first to ReplyDo not go here!
They steal tips from their employees and threat them of not paying them, bad sanity for the food as they leave it on the floor and unhealthy environment to work
Be the first to ReplyNever go back
Terrible place !!! Very unhealthy environment , awful restroom , nasty food , food on floor not hand sanitizer available , employees very polite but management poorly trained
Be the first to Replylovely setting, off-putting service
A beautiful, well-designed space with views for mile. But without service to match. Food was very aesthetic but not outstanding... flavors are a little muted, the dumpling wrappers were dough-y tasting. Sushi was the best of the 5 items we tried. Good but not melt-in-your-mouth-Japan-worship sort of great. All good photo material, but not super satisfying. Drinks are very good, but considering this city has a truly world-class cocktail scene, there's a lot of stronger competition in town. Fine, but not outstanding. But the big negative, that dragged down everything else: service was a weird mix of pushy, inattentive, intrusive. We had 4-5 different people with ipad catalogs try to sell us wine. Food pacing was chaotic. Multiple staff hovered, grabbing dishes the very moment they were set down and ignoring what we might be doing. If I'm taking a photo or talking to my partner, I don't want to pause because you want to pour water. We constantly felt rushed, never allowed to linger over premium menu choices, or take in the scenery and each other with drinks in hand. If I have food and drink, I'm not making eye contact or waving you down, AND I already said everything is fine...don't keep asking if I need anything else. Let me be. Hospitality 101. At this price point, in this category of dining, service should be polished, professional, and catering to the customer. People come this category of restaurant to enjoy each other's company, or to celebrate, or to enjoy the sensory experience. If I have to interact with service staff every 2-5 minutes, it ruins the experience. I don't think we were able to have a single uninterrupted conversation there. Ratings: Service: 2/5 Food: 3/5 Drinks: 4/5 Aesthetics: 4/5 Location/View: 5/5 This is particularly off-putting because this type and price point of restaurant will draw people for occasions, special meals, romantic interludes, and the like. People who want to enjoy, not rush through. We spent about $100USD per-person (inclusive of service), which is top-end in CDMX, and only had drinks and shared small plates. Which would be fine if we had been able to enjoy without constant interruptions. We were there for less than ~80 minutes and didn't linger (2 hours would be normal for a place with a time limit, if they had one). So why so pushy? We were offered a dessert menu (and pushed to order from it), but not offered coffee or digestif-- which would be the premium (and higher-margin) move. Odd. I honestly could not recommend coming here for a full meal. Perhaps drinks at the bar at most. There's a lot of upscale options in this part of CDMX. In the same building is the outstanding Carlotta Sky Bar (take the Ritz Carlton entrance from the vehicle lobby) which ALSO has outstanding views, a friendlier space, possibly better drinks, and definitely better service. We went there afterwards and really enjoyed it more. Other thoughts: There's an enormously empty lobby and crowd-control access gates to get to the elevator up to the restaurant. It seems...excessive. Wifi works poorly (including credit card machines) on the outer dining rim, they were aware of it. That's an easy fix and impacts restaurant operations, so not fixing it says something. We explore places all around the world through their food & drink from our home bases in food cities on the US east coast, and make a point of including fine-dining or upscale experiences. This one was surprisingly disappointing because of the outstanding location and the professional pedigree behind the name. My recommendation: Skip this one.

Beautiful decoration. Make sure you walk around the restaurant and look up down and to the sides. Check out the bathroom too. The food is delicious and comes in relatively big portions, so order slowly. The drink are very good. Located in the Ritz Hotel.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing view, great decor- TERRIBLE customer service
Don’t get me wrong, the view and decor is amazing. But CUSTOMER SERVICE is the WORST. The restaurant manager doesn’t have a clue how to run an upscale restaurant. Amazed that Ling Ling would hire such incompetent managers. We reserved more than a week in advanced for a birthday dinner for 14 people. Waited for more than 40 minutes with no explanation, no drinks or seats while waiting… just to be offered two separate tables. Why reserve??? Go elsewhere it’s a tourist trap. Luckily we got a table near by at Becco with great service and food.
Be the first to ReplyCould have been a lot better
I was glad I could get a table without reservation, but I was given a terrace table at the very end of the restaurant.
The Spicy Tuna Tartare was clearly over fried and it was difficult to eat.
I spent quite sometime raising my hand hopping to call the waiter’s attention but was finally saved by the host to took my order who took my order.
The Ginger Glazed Scottish Salmon came cold and was ordinary.
The Soft Shell Crab Temaki was a pleasant surprise.
Overall I was very disappointed, the view is fantastic but not much different from my room, I was staying at the Ritz Carlton, same building
It was of course very convenient but I would not return.
Bad service terrible food
Reservation was made one month in advance and they Have us waiting 45 minutes only to give us a terrible table on stools, when request a change of table they gave us the last table next to a wall. The waiter did not know the menu or how to explain it, wine selection by the glass limited to one or two options, no beer menu available, one of our dishes frozen, sushi so bad that one of us turn her stomach all night… overall, great view ONLY if you are lucky to be sit right next to the window, food not good and terrible service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff!
Food was good, staff was great. Very busy, crowded and loud atmosphere due to many celebrations. View is beautiful especially if you choose the terrace area. Overall, good for a splurge. Kudos to the Hostess who was very helpful despite a reservation issue we encountered. The rating is for the staff.
The negative for me, water glasses had a terrible odor. The bottled water was brought opened so I have a feeling it is reused by just refilling it from faucet. They still charge you for it thought. I think a high end restaurant should provide real bottled water that has been chilled not room temperature. Also need to check how they are washing glasses - they smelled like dirty water. Needless to say, I didn’t drink the water but Husband drank it and ended up with stomach issues later in the night. Overall, for me, this restaurant is average.
Unique view and a taste of Asia.
The place has the best view of “Castillo de Chapultepec”. The food is delicious and the service first class. Try their Huachinango Crujiente and the spicy Ling Ling. For a better experience I recommend sharing ;)
Be the first to ReplyTerribly bad customer service (1.5h waiting with reservation)
Extremely bad customer service. We were a group of 8 with dinner reservation from weeks before, and when we arrived there was no table for us. We waited for an hour and the response was always “soon”. They then put us in a small room to wait and still our table was never ready. Not a complementary appetizer or drink either. The worse part was the mood that almost transmitted “we are a busy and famous restaurant so you have to wait, it is what it is”. Terrible experience, we ended up leaving after almost 1.5h of waiting
