The food was good, the service mediocre and a $9 bottle of water was the uncalled for addition.
Be the first to ReplyWe went to Marabu a little Havana restaurant for dinner.
Beautiful patio, lighting and decorations were amazing. We were seated right away. Water and banana chips were served almost as soon as we sat. Our waitress Esmeralda, was super attentive, drinks first, appetizers second.. main dish third. We were served our drinks , appetizers and main dishes in that exact order. We were a large party and dinner was served exactly as we ordered. No mistakes. Food was amazing. Every dish was well prepared and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant and hopefully you will get Esmeralda to serve you. Excellent service, food and staff.

Very tasty Cuban food, okay service that was a bit deceptive (water is $9 with no mention of cost, multiple reviewers mentioned this months ago and they're still doing it) and slow, and nice ambiance. I had the lechon asado lunch special with a Hatuey beer to wash it down. The chicken soup was simple, but quite good with that homemade freshness and lime to add some brightness. The lechon asado was really tasty - the pork was so tender and delicious with the fat and mojo sauce, and smelled incredible. The moro rice and yuca with the zip of vinegary onions was very flavorful. The entire meal was delicious and very filling and the Hatuey was a nice pairing. Service was a bit slow, and a touch deceptive. It wasn't super busy on a weekday after the lunch rush. I knew better to ask for tap water instead of biting on the "still or sparkling" (no mention of $9 cost up front). I dined solo, and it took quite awhile to get my drink and for them to take my order. Felt a bit ignored since grat is already included, and the table next to me was larger and was getting a lot more attention from the same server who kept walking past me. I also had to ask for the lunch special menu, which is what brought me there in the first place from looking online. I know servers want a bigger tip, but please do better. They press you on giving a review when they drop the bill, so here's my honest review.

Food was great, service was spot on, and the ambience perfect for my last night in Miami. I started out with the signature Marabu Ceviche, very tasty. Light, a bit of sweetness but not too much from the mango chunks - yum! For my main dish, I had the coal fired flank steak with chimichuri sauce, rice/red beans and plantains. The steak was tender, flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare - Yum again! I had the local Cuban red lager to wash everything down with, a great recommendation from my awaited, Antonio. Speaking of Antonio, fantastic attention & service 5 star!

Esme was our server and provided spectacular service, very outgoing, great personality and provided us with menu suggestions. Ambiance was nice, music playing was fun and at a volume that was appropriate for dinner. Would definitely come back!

Wanted to have good quality traditional Cuban food and Marabu was the place to do it. It definitely was a meal that I had to put myself out of ny comfort zone for. But tasted delicious nonetheless. I appreciated that the waitress was patient as I tried to order the food in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish). The food came quickly and I lovedd the decor. Super cute. I'm not a fan of pork but had to try traditional dishes so had some croquettes de pollo (chicken croquettes), trio mix tostones and a pork based entree that comes with Moro rice and yuca (masas de puerco al carbon) They were all really good and the yuca is the best yuca I've ever had. Ended the meal with a yummy cuatro leches Had a great time. The service was quick, food was good and the service was good.
Be the first to ReplyBad food.
Service was good. Adds 18% service charge automatically, and then expects tip on top. I won't be back.

This was my BEST meal in Miami!! Authentic Cuban food that is sure to please. We had a group of 4 and everyone absolutely loved their meal, but the showstopper was the braised short rib entree...absolutely spectacular. I had the Ropa Vieja which was fantastic! Everything was soooo good I will certainly go back!

The food was good but very small portions and overpriced, our waiter was a bit slow did not refill our waters and just be aware,, they charge a service fee based on the amount you spend.. we asked the host as our waiter never came after and said "overall service for dining here" she offered to remove but I don't think this is right so watch out We spent 90 with the food and service fee was 22.00

Absolutely amazing experience at Marabú! Our server, Wendy, ensured a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Not only were her recommendations spot on, but she graciously and without hesitation made modifications that we forgot to mention when we initially ordered. The service was well-paced, friendly and efficient and the food was mouth watering. Perfectly crisped platanutres, succulent, juicy pork, and just plain excellent vaca frita. Also, festive and cheery atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

Great food, service and ambiance! I ordered the chopped salad and honestly can say it was definitely worth the "Brickell" price. It had a plethora of fresh ingredients, presented great and was very filling. Our server Valentina was awesome, she was attentive and helped facilitate a quick delivery of our food. Will definitely be back!

Tripadvisor lists this as the best restaurant in Miami, a title that rightly belongs to CVI.CHE 105. The food was good, not great. Their signature dish, while remarkably tender, was also surprisingly bland. I can, however, confidently say that their tropical mojitos are some of the best in the city. All in all, you can get food that's a hell of a lot better for a hell of a lot less.
