Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Reviews from The Last Year
Decided to try again after the last few bad experiences.
Horrible. Tattered stained linens again. Called Room service for food and it rang and rang til the front desk. Was told I should have called for food service. I said I did and it rang to the desk. I was transferred but it rang again to the desk. She said she could put the order in. Over 2 hours later I called asking about the order and was told it was too late to get room service since it was closing in 20 minutes. When I ordered it wasn't too late! If you couldn't do it, say so. we were told to go out to find food...despite ordering food hours before room service closed. We went out to eat. People we didn't know and weren't comfortable with were following us back to the resort. security looked at these people and confronted us very rudely asking if we had a room. Said yes. "What's the number and the name". I showed the key ( now they use those cheap bulk key fob cards that can easily be cloned.) they acted like the random people following us while trying to offer us drugs were our guests. No! We don't want to be around them, we said we don't know them!!! Decided to leave instead of staying a few days. Stressful place. Not a vacation at all.
Stayed here for 3 nights, just got back.
The hotel is very dirty in the lobby and all carpets and furniture not cleaned. The food is mediocre at best and overpriced. We went for breakfast one morning and no one would wait on us. My wife overheard an employee asking another employee , if they wanted our table and he said no with the scowl on his face, I didn't feel welcomed. I ordered margarita at one of our corporate events and the bartender could make a margarita. WTH. This is a Margaritaville resort. I never want to stay here again.
April Vacation good but.....
Nice resort but could be better. Overall staff was very nice. We spent a lot of time at the two pools. Including the bars for drinks and food. In the afternoon the dj started and that added a bit of fun to the pool area. Flow rider was fun for my 10 year old daughter. Those guys were very good with everyone. One night we ate at the steak restaurant and the food was barely edible. The prime rib was tough and the bisque was very salty. For almost 300.00 without any alcoholic beverages I would have expected much better. When I got home I looked over the invoice and had some questions. I called and left messages three times, two for accounts receivable and one for manager with no call back. There seemed to be a charges for beach service charge and didn't see the 75.00 promotion come off so I had questions. Nothing! Over 500 a night and they can't even call back! Not saying I wouldn't go back but was disappointed with a few things.
Great Place
I didn’t stay here, but it’s a beautiful hotel! One of my cousins ate at the steakhouse and said that it was really good. Also, the next time that I visit Hollywood Florida I will stay here! They have an awesome gift shop and coffee shop. The staff is really friendly and they also have more than one swimming pool.
Went to margaritaville, a roach crawled across the bar.

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with a recent stay I had at the Margaritaville Resort at Hollywood beach. My family and I decided to stay at this resort for 1 night before our cruise. We booked two rooms and were very excited because we have been to the Margaritaville in Orlando and in Nassau and loved them. Our experience quickly turned negative as soon as we arrived. My wife and my niece took our bags in a cart and waited in the lobby while we parked. When my sister and I parked and got to them, they had told us that the curbside attendant, Neil, had questioned them and tried pulling the cart back from them, hurting my wife's arm and scaring my niece. He was extremely rude and aggressive. My wife was so intimidated by this that she told me and I went to talk to him. Neil immediately flipped out and caused a scene telling us that he was going to talk to his manager and that he would get us kicked out. (I also felt him touch me but the management said he didn't but wouldn't let me review the security footage.) This was such aggressive and rude behavior that I went to talk to management. They sent someone down to talk to me and they said they would comp our rooms for 50% off and we settled in a good place with the management. Later that night, management called my sisters phone informing her that they would not stand by their word and comp the 50% for both rooms. So I went back to talk to the manager on staff and he called security there to intimidate us further. This security manager would not let me talk and he kept talking over my wife and I while the manager just sat back and smiled. After arguing for 30 minutes, they finally agreed to stand by what they said earlier and comp 50% off the rooms for our groups. But later when we were on the cruise, we found out they again went back on their promise and did not comp us correctly on the hotel receipt. We even spent $230 at the Margaritaville restaurant because we felt like they treated us right instead of going somewhere else, but that was just a lie. My family is just so upset from all of this. We have loved staying at Margaritaville in the past and just wanted to have a great time after traveling for 5 hours to stay there. Management and security were extremely rude, intimidating, the car attendant hurt my wife's arm by grabbing her cart, and they scared my 10 year old niece. Not to mention they ruined the start of our vacation by siding with the attendant by approving of his behavior and saying that "he comes off as rough but you have to know his heart" which excuses him from treating a woman and a small girl that way. I just can't believe that a company like this would approve of someone like Neil, the manager, and the security manager to work here and treat people in such a nasty and disrespectful way. The fact that he hurt my wife is enough for the guy to be fired.This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when we paid over $1600 for two rooms for one night.

wish I could give zero! terrible service and traumatizing security experience! one of their studio guys started a fight with another tourist and their security started shoving through everybody, not caring if it's a pregnant wife or small children. Never coming again.
Housekeeping
The housekeeping staff was extremely rude. On their personal phones in the hallways. When asked for extra towels they put their hand up to wait. Very slow to accommodate requests. Soap and shampoo empty in the shower and toilet paper not refilled.
Truly Amazing Hotel
This place is truly AMAZING!!! My sister & I stayed after our cruise to The Bahamas. Sandra at the luggage desk was Awesome! She helped us with our early check in and even gave us welcome drinks. She went above and beyond for us. We were hot and tired from our cruise and she literally turned our day around. And the room she gave us was truly AMAZING!!! It was gorgeous! We had a sunset 2 queen Oceanfront view. It was breathtaking. She is the reason I have booked a return trip with my husband in January. I can't wait to come back! Brian (from Michigan) our Landshark bartender at the pool bar was awesome. He made the best fruity frozen mocktails for us. We will miss his smiling face. We loved the fruit water in the lobby as well as the shops and onsite restaurant with breakfast. It was really good and also reasonable. So many things to do and look at. We really enjoyed Tacos and ritas on Friday. We enjoyed those in our beach chairs with umbrella. The beach was amazing as well. I even saw a sea turtle egg in the sand while looking for shells. Sergio our luggage guy was awesome as well. He brought our luggage up to our room and also explained how to use everything in the room. Where the info channel was on the remote, how to work the ac etc... He also came up at the end of our trip at check in and took our luggage and stored it for us til our shuttle came later in the day for our late flight back home. He brought our bags out to the shuttle as well and helped the driver load our bags into the van as well. :) It was just top notch VIP service all around. Every worker was very friendly and always had smiles on their faces.
Perfect place for multigenerational celebration
My husband just celebrated a milestone birthday at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort with our kids and grandkids. I can’t think of a more delightful resort to have a multigenerational gathering. We had a blast playing in the pool and the ocean, walking along the boardwalk and sampling the restaurants on and off the resort. There was music everywhere and plenty of moments for family fun. We can’t remember the last time we experienced more gracious and welcoming service. Our housekeeper Linda even remembered that my husband doesn’t like his side of the bed tucked in.
Amazing stay that I will be returning to!
I went with my husband and 10 year old son during spring break. This hotel was everything i was looking for. It was a resort setting with an upscale beach decor. The lobby was beautiful and this beautiful fragrance filled the main floor to check in. You have plenty of places to eat within the resort, 2 separate pools and a 3rd adult only pool. The beach is 5 steps away and the service everywhere is impeccable. So incredibly kind and gracias and willing to make your stay memorable. When planning a reservations at the seafood steak restaurant within the resort, the concierge asked if we were celebrating anything, and I did mention that it was my birthday. I knew by the end of the day, went back to my hotel room, and an ice bucket with a champagne bottle and two flutes along with balloons wishing me a happy happy birthday from the concierge Samantha and the resort. It was such an amazing sweet touch. Everything is super clean and the boardwalk is very fun at night with Bars, restaurants, boutiques, ice cream stores etc. I will 100% be coming back and probably with friends or family as I have mentioned to all what an amazing time we had!
Parrothead Destination
The Hollywood Margaritaville Resort is an upscale property with easy access to the beach, boardwalk and intracoastal. With food and beverage options aplenty, the resort leaves visitors content and fulfilled. The only thing that I wish was different was that the food outlets were open later. We spent 2 nights at this property and felt it was enough.
Mostly Good but see a decline since 2016
This was our 11th visit I think. Have been coming once and sometimes twice a year since 2016. Even though my sister and I had a few complaints this time, I will start with the great staff. First is Norrone at the Margaritaville Restaurant. After check—in, we went to Margaritaville Restaurant for a drink and some lunch. We ate at the bar. There was Norrone. He came up to us and said, “where is my little man?” He was referring to my grandson who came with us last July. How did he remember that? Norrone loves people and loves his job. Please give him a raise and promotion! Next is Nimfa, the hostess at Margaritaville Restaurant. We ate breakfast there every morning and she seated us at Norrone’s section without us even asking. Love her! Third is Micaela at Lone Palm Pool. She came to serve us. She was our server at pool 3 years ago. She remembered us and asked, “Which one of you is Charlotte “. How did she remember that? She was hustling trying to get everyone’s order.? Why was she the only server at pool? So here are my complaints: 1. Why is there only one server at pool? In previous years, there were always 2. Servers are overwhelmed and can’t get to everyone. Are you cutting back on staff? One server is not enough. 2. Price of cabanas. We have always booked cabanas for part of stay. Started out as $150/day and now up to $300/day week days and $350 weekends!! What??? Cabanas were empty most of week. Margaritaville please re-evaluate this. You promise free water and ice. Cabana guys come once and you never see them again. Discuss with your staff. My last gripe is cleaning of rooms on Saturday and Sunday. What? So on Saturday, we went back to room at 4:30 pm to shower and room not cleaned. Waited a half hour and still nothing. We were out of room by 9:15 am. So slept in unmade bed with no water and coffee for next day. Same thing Sunday. Room still not cleaned by 5:30 pm. We had been out of room from 9:30 am. Went to front desk to complain and then on to dinner. Came back to room to find 4 waters, 4 coffees and 4 bath towels. Nope! For $600/night I expect better. Bottom line is Margaritaville cutting back on both staff and service. We are still booked for our June trip but having some doubts. Margaritaville please do better! I will still do 5 stars for now. #3. Please limit how many day passes you give for locals. They take over both pools and you have to be out there no later than 9:30 am in order to secure a chaise with umbrella. Guests with rooms should have preference!

We met out of town friends at the inside restaurant this past Saturday (4/20). 2 things were great, our server, Eric, and the band, Ms Dempseys Class. The rest, not so great. First the drinks. My Samuel Adam's was a bit off. I read the label and it was marked 'drink by' this month which means they bought it about 4 months ago. I drank it anyway. My wife tried 2 margaritas and they were about as bland as they could be. Light on the tequila too. If you're going to call yourself margaritaville, they should be awesome. The tuna and chips app was ok but very light on the tuna. The turkey club we got was pretty average. The sweet potato waffle fries were the highlight. My son got the wings which were below average. The skin was rubbery and the sauce was weak. The prices were definitely too high for the quality but it should be expected. Overall, this is a tourist trap. It's cheesy interior reminded me of the beachside restaurants in Daytona beach. If you live down here and have other options, take them.

The resort is beautiful! The minute we pulled up, there were so many helping us to ensure we had a wonderful time! I was worried I had seen some bad reviews. However, I found none of it to be true! Bedding was a dream, and I so want those pillows!! The pools were perfect! I would sit on the balcony watching all the crew cleaning and power-washing every morning getting the day ready to start! Beautiful Resort!
After dropping a shit ton of money for 4 days.
Ran into one ridiculous scenario after another. First wife and I were in the restaurant bar enjoying margarits. We were hungry? Went to the coffee shop to order a pizza. We went back to the empty bar to have another drink and eat our margaritaville bought pizza. We were met by the bartender who said we could not it it at the bar. You can buy bar food bit not eat a pizza bought at the sane place. Wow! Buzz kill.
Horrible
The resort was nice however… the cleanliness was HORRIFIC. We stayed there for 6 nights (6 adults and 4 children - 10 people total). The same crumbs and dust were in the hallways all week from the day we got there. The pool was beautiful, but we never saw anyone hose the patios down or do anything to maintain the pool area in the time we were there. The pools had the same stuff floating in there every day (used band aids, food, etc) Our room was only cleaned twice the entire time we were there. We ALL left the trip with a TERRIBLE case of hand foot and mouth disease that turned out to be a NIGHTMARE!!! I feel bad for any of the other families that left their vacation with the stress and anxiety that we did. I hope that they will evaluate this issue and make sure that the vacationers to come do not have to leave with terrible memories that we did. We will NEVER be returning and pray that no one else has the experience we did. It was a disgrace.

..place is empty. Got sat at a table...waited over 30 minutes and asked for a manager. Gave me excuses blaming us...I said there are servers doing nothing...his reply was you wanted to sit here. I said service lacks nowadays and you apparently are part of the problem. Apparently you are an idiot...we will finish our drinks and leave and spend our money somewhere else...his name was Julius...now he called security because I apparently his hurt his feelings...this what happened afterwards

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Margaritaville Landshark Bar & Grill Hollywood Florida 1111 N Ocean Dr. After paying my bill with a credit card, I left a cash tip. Today, I see my bill was $10.00 more than what I left the restaurant with. It seems our server 64 / Greg F / gave himself a $10.00 tip on top of our cash tip. I'm waiting on Mike the General Manager to return my calls. I will be filing a police report with the city of Hollywood on this illegal, fraudulent charge on my Credit Card. Also I have called American Express to dispute charges. BEWARE WHEN VISITING THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
