This was our first wagyu beef omakase experience ever and I was really excited to show my friend all about it. The quality of the meat was definitely there and presented well, but if I had to be a harsh/picky critic, I'd rate the overall experience 6.5/10 only because it was not the most mind-blowing experience for my taste buds. Taking into consideration the $$$, I would have better recommendations for wagyu beef elsewhere. Even though the staff service was nice, which most elegant omakase places that need private reservations are. For starters, I know wagyu has different cuts and it would have been nice to experience and taste at least more than two cuts of wagyu, but every single dish used the same 2 wagyu grades/cut and it eventually got boring especially because most of the pieces were dipped/served in the same sauce on the side. Which I totally understand, respect and appreciate them trying to preserve as much of the natural flavor as possible, but...a couple dishes for customers to taste the all-natural taste is good enough I feel, the rest I expected to have much more of a twist than just that :/ I think it was under-whelming to say the least, and a wagyu BBQ experience like Hyun would have been much more worth my money and time spent. But understandably, Hyun is much much more expensive (but it is also semi-AYCE too!)
