Service is horrible; coffee taste nothing Very cold and no heater at all. Waiters are not friendly.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service.
French onion soup was the best I've ever had. Faleffel, steak and mushroom burger were flavor packed and delicious. Chocolate cake and ice cream were superb, and the onion cheese was a must have!
Be the first to ReplyPricey place and very small portions.
Food was ok. I don't think will order from here again.
Be the first to ReplyThis place has amazing, thoughtfully prepared food.
Great lamb chops, steak frites, charcuterie. Warm and cozy room. But please stop with the Friday night lounge singer. It was too loud, out of step with the quality of the establishment and really just unsettlingly weird. It cheapened the whole experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food every time.
Great service too. Everything I ordered tasted great so far, from ahi tuna burger to regular burgers. Their calamari is also amazing. Can't wait to go back and try more things.

Food was good no complaints but portions too small compared with prices.Service was ok nice waiter.Nice a atmosphere. Two stars drop because Hot Latte seem tricky...Ordered latte and we got drinks in couples minute.!?The latte foam cold and the coffee super cold. Never drank coffee latte this temperature before.Seem like leftovers coffees make over....

Food was absolutely amazing and service could have been more prompt (it was very busy) but it was a little more pricey than expected.
Be the first to ReplyDid we expect too much after reading all the fabulous
Did we expect too much after reading all the fabulous reviews? The cheese apps were delicious. Melted brie with fig and burrata baked in a wonderful butternut squash shell. Burger was super and then it went down hill. My tuna steak was chewy and my son's veal shank special was extremely small. I mean extremely. Two main entrees out of three failed. The pistachio "cheesecake" at $12 was light and fluffy, but more like a cake. As mentioned in other reviews, the tip suggested was 22, 25 and 30 percent. They don't even do this in NYC. Very presumptuous.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding food, service and craft beer selection.
Highly recommend. The best in Tarrytown!
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant if a bit oddFor a couple of years, Mint
Great restaurant if a bit oddFor a couple of years, Mint has been the best restaurant in downtown Tarrytown and we dine there frequently. American with a strong touch of the Mediterranean, Mint offers a wide selection of excellent choices. It also has a market up front from which we sometimes buy a few delicacies. On our most recent visit, we started with a Mint Salad and the Madjoul Dates. Then instead of our usual favorites we decided to eat a bit lighter - an Ahi Burger, Truffle Burger, and Falafel Pita. All were quite delicious. We finished with a Cappuccino, Macchiato, and Hot Chocolate accompanied by a shared Pistachio Cake. Again, everything was delicious. The oddity is the service which can be very hit or miss...and thankfully this night was a hit! I was reminded of this when I reviewed the check and saw that the suggested tips are 22%, 25%, and 30%!!! instead of the usual 15%, 18%, and 20%. It isn't as if I particularly mind having to calculate the tip for myself...but it does make me wonder if the erratic service stems from the waitstaff being woefully underpaid.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and mediocre.
The first time we came we loved the food but I think we got the more expensive things on the menu. This time around we got two sandwiches (chicken Diablo was fine (chik fil a is better) and steak sandwich wasn't good). It felt like they were trying to push us the more expensive things on the menu and it was slow: All that said; we were checked on a lot which I appreciated. And the ambiance was really nice. But I won't be going back. Def not worth it at all.

We were looking for a lunch spot, and decided to drive down to Tarrytown. The satisfied looking customers and welcoming outdoor seating area caught our eye. The brunch menu looked banging and we were disappointed to have missed it (ends at 4pm) but we weren't disappointed with the meal that followed !!! We ordered the Grilled Octopus Special which was a healthy portioned piece, cooked nicely and came on a bed of humus and a mixed green salad with a lemony vinaigrette ... a perfect summer appetizer. My partner ordered the Duck Confit Panini with a side salad-- the duck was moist and flavorful and the fig spread was not overwhelmingly sweet and quite complimentary to the fatty duck. The panini bread was crunchy and not too bready. Would definitely try something new before ordering again ! I ordered the Fish Taco Special which came in a soft flour tortilla, with large hunks of perfectly cooked cod, a crunchy slaw with a mediterranean twist, cilantro and a side of lemon. (lemon was necessary to complete the profile). This dish came with a street style corn on the cob - skewered and upright dressed in lemon, mayo, parmesan and a delicious flaky red spice called "harris?" ... i'm not a fan of mayonnaise but damn this was a super interesting and a delicious addition to the plate. Hassan (who i believe is the owner) is super kind, bright energy, and witty. Totally a breath of fresh air to connect with. All of the servers and bussers were attentive and kind. Overall awesome experience. We will absolutely be back!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome food and vibes.
I really enjoy eating here both indoors and outside. The food is unique and fresh. I also have to note that the staff is outstanding. I really enjoy the little thing and the big things they do right.
Be the first to ReplyService for a basic meal took 1:45hr.
Inexcusable amount of time and slowness. Went from brunch to dinner.

This French toast was stuffed with Brie and jam! It was delicious but also super heavy and the addition of the maple syrup on top of the French toast made it a bit too sweet! The fruits were definitely a good addition as they added refreshing element to the dish. I would recommend getting the maple syrup on the side so you can add as much as you feel is necessary (or none at all), but other than that this was a delicious and unique meal.

Went back for a quickie lunch and I must say: the DIABLO is the joint!!!!! The chicken and toppings were amazing! My waitress Helena was charming and efficient as I told her about my allergies and she stayed on top of it. Much appreciated. Had no time to dip into a wine, but next time.
Be the first to ReplyI'm all about customer service.
It is equally important to me as a restaurants food. Now, when I place an order online that alerts me my food will be prepared between 6-6:10, and I've been charged over $80 for said order, the order not being ready when I arrive at 6:05 isn't a problem. When I'm told that order never came through, and they can refund me or I can wait now, it's not a major problem. When I am then treated as though this is my fault, and on me to fix? We've hit the line. After telling the staff we'd gladly wait for the food we wanted instead of going through a CC refund and getting told it would take awhile... I was moved from where I was standing 3 times (and I hadn't moved from where they asked me to stand previously) -- get hit with a "well this isn't a waiting area it's for workers" is beyond ridiculous. If I walked in and been told, our food would take another 15-20 minutes and asked if we could wait outside or come back soon, I may not have minded. I was instead bargained with as you whether we would get our food, and not told only not to stand where the take out signs and the. waitress had directed me. Oh well.

Have been wanting to go forever!!! Parking was a bit of a nightmare but soooo worth it!!! Also seems there was a show next door so I think we had bad timing. Already planing on going back next week!!!! Seems like there was a mix of regulars show goers and just reg peoples like us. Our waitress was super nice and friendly! Made us feel comfortable. We were a party of 4 shared 2 apps. The calamari and the burrata both were very good! They brought out the burrata without the bread so at first we were a little confused but bread came shortly thereafter. I had the sweet Diablo sandwich super crispy chicken cutlet mixed with the avocado was so good!! I LOVE spicy hot food, was a little disappointed due to lack of heat but was still a really good sandwich! Tasted the short ribs which were also really really good!! We then shared 3 desserts. All very good except that they were served with forks and I would have more appreciated spoons but this is my preference and def did not take away from the yummies!Like I said already going back next week!!Love this spot!!
Be the first to ReplyWahoooo! for Wagyu! French Baked Brie and the Malbec
Wahoooo! for Wagyu! French Baked Brie and the Malbec that stole my HEART! So the warm and friendly waitress whom I forgot to ask her name again, recommended the Chef's Burger. Read My Lips: Delicious!!!!!!!!Having dined in and seen Alberta the co-owner working the tables, I never really got a chance to chat! Last night, she greeted our party and graced us with a nice conversation. The decor is fabulous as well but damn the food was outrageously awesome! They really did steal my heart with the suggested Malbec to compliment my burger with Avocado, Cherry Peppers, Pepper Jack Cheese, Sweet Chipotle and love! Glad Covid is taking a break in Westchester, so we can visit awesome restaurants like MINT frequently. BRAVO!
Be the first to ReplyI have never eaten in the restaurant part of Mint but I
I have never eaten in the restaurant part of Mint but I often go in to get meats, cheeses, and bread when guests come over. Their cheese is delicious, especially the Beemster. My favorite meat is the spicy salami. The service is great and they often offer you some free samples of cheeses when you are deciding what to get. I can't speak on the restaurant but if you want some appetizers to bring home, Mint is a must visit!

Poor service extremely overpriced and they added a 22 percent tip. I do not recommend this restaurant
Be the first to ReplyOrdered the french toast and it was delicious! Brioche
Ordered the french toast and it was delicious! Brioche bread was well done and fruit was good. Would say portions are relatively small and did leave feeling hungry. My rating is just for food and I never rate on service, but did feel a need to write about the service. Service can be slow, as our table ended up waiting over an hour for food and waiters were not aware of us not getting food until we flagged someone down to ask. It was then that we saw our food just beginning to be prepped. While the food is good, would say to be wary if you are on a tight schedule as it can derail your plans.
Be the first to ReplyTo say that this place is fabulous is putting it lightly! I
To say that this place is fabulous is putting it lightly! I was spending a weekend in Tarrytown with college friends and decided to have dinner here. Wow! So amazing we came back to have brunch the next day! And on the way home, I picked up some of the fabulous cheeses they sell in the front! I'm coming back with my husband because everyone needs to experience the fantastic food here! The service was terrific too! In front is a small market area where they sell a variety of Mediterranean foods, excellent cheese, olives, meats, and to-go items of hot and cold foods. I highly recommend eating in or at least sampling some of the "to go" things because I guarantee you'll find something you'll want to take home!
Be the first to ReplyUPDATE: I just checked my credit card charges and SOMEONE
UPDATE: I just checked my credit card charges and SOMEONE AT THIS RESTAURANT CHANGED MY TIP AND ADDED AN EXTRA $4.57 on top of the $7 I left. I'm calling my credit card company over this fraudulent charge now. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I came here with an Asian gf and her boyfriend on a weekend trip to Tarrytown and we were treated SO rudely by the older, foreign female waitress who works here. We were completely ignored as we sat outside in the cold for 20 minutes. At first I thought it was possibly a fluke, but when a really nice old Asian man and his daughter sat outside on the opposite side of us, they were also ignored. Maybe she's racist against Asians???Finally the old Chinese man went inside to get the waitress. When she came out she acted exasperated with him and kept snapping at him Bc he wanted to place his order without letting her go inside to get menus. He explained he already looked at the menu outside. So she took their order and when we asked her for help as she walked past us, she rolled her eyes and snapped at us that she'd be back. 10 minutes later, she finally comes back to take our order. Well, fast forward to the meal being over and the check coming and her INCLUDING A GENEROUS 22% GRATUITY TO OUR CHECK! So, I went inside and confronted her about auto including tip for a three person table and she said it was the restaurant policy. I asked where it states that and her response was "all the restaurants are doing it Bc of Covid I guess" and walking away. So I go to another server who happened to be the manager (Americo) and asked him about the included gratuity on my bill being restaurant policy and he said that it was a mistake and they only do it for parties of 5 or more. I didn't tell him how she lied about it being their policy and how all Tarrytown restaurants were doing it for Covid. I've worked in the service industry for decades. Even if I've had a shit experience, I still tip at least 20%. But Bc she was super nasty to all us Asians and tried to commit fraud, I only tipped her 15%. I sincerely hope she learns some sort of lesson from all this. Be a better human for god's sakes.

We had been wanting to try Mint for a while but when we finally did we were disappointed. My husband ordered truffle fries and they tasted like regular fries. When we pointed this out to the waitress she said they don't use parmesan on their truffle fries so that is why they tasted regular. We both tried them and they were literally regular fries with a surcharge. I ordered a side salad with my sandwich which was just a few pieces of lettuce. The service was ok but the ambiance was the best thing about the restaurant.
