Favorite in San Diego.
The vibe, food and cocktails are TOP! The decorations and theme are so soooo trendy. It gets crowded, had to wait 40 minutes.

We went on a weekday and were seated in 10 minutes! The blueberry skillet was amazingly delicious! We also had the eggs Benedict which was yum! Coffees served in cute pink cups. Our server was very friendly and always checked on our table. Had a delish breakfast!
Be the first to ReplyWent with my husband and 4 year old.
Good food quick seating. Very loud. Would not return with child. I didn't know until after we started eating but they play explicit music not suitable for children.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service and great food presentation.
I visited twice. Each visit included prompt and courteous service. I ordered steak and eggs on the first visit. Chorizo omelette on the second visit. This restaurant is worth the wait. The decor adds to the great food and excellent service. Morning Glory is a hit.

We showed up 10-15m before they opened and there was already a line forming outside. It moved quickly and we were seated after not too long of a wait. Amazing service. Cool decor. Perfect place for a boozy brunch. We ordered a Bloody Mary and espresso martini. The bloody came with a little side jar of pickles etc which was cool. The martini had some glittery sparkle in the foam which didn't come out in my picture but was fun. Both quite delicious. My hubby got birria tacos and I got the pasta. His tacos were great but I'm obsessed with the pasta dish. It was amazing. And we both added a side of bone marrow which was also delicious. They have a person come around with a dim sum type cart and we got a shot and a bun. The shot was great, the bun was just ok. The bathroom there is all mirrors it was trippy for sure. We saw other dishes being made/ walked by and everything looked super bomb. Next time we are in little Italy I'm totally going back for that pasta. I swear I dream about it lol.
Be the first to ReplyGreat breakfast food, service was amazing.
Sat at the open air bar which had a nice view.
Be the first to ReplyA bit mid to be honest.
It's very cute inside but is eating in a cute restaurant worth a 1.5 hour wait on a Monday morning? The food took a while to come and the staff were very strict and a bit unfriendly. It was very windy the top is open so our food got cold immediately, most of it was something I felt I could easily cook myself ,.. probably better. I think this place would be great if you were day drinking and predisposed to like it, but I've had much better brunch for much cheaper and in comparably cute places. Overall, I don't think I'd come back unless the wait was less than 10 min.

The food is great, atmosphere is fun, service could be better. We put our names down at 1:30 with a 2-hr wait. We waited and got seated around 3:15. Table was sticky and clearly hadn't been wiped down. We asked to wipe it, they did but still missed some spots. Ok, fine, we just finished wiping it ourselves. We ordered 3:20, we got our food, we were eating our food maybe 15 min, and the guy comes around asking if we want boxes. I almost started laughing. Can we eat first? We're literally still chewing. They were closing at 4 but if you're going to accept people at 3:15, at least give them time to eat. We politely accepted some boxes, but took those few min while he fetched them to finish up our food. Felt super rushed and uncomfortable. I would rather they stop accepting names at 1:30 than to wait, get in, then feel rushed out. Or maybe start accepting reservations, but I like this place overall, I hoping to see them become even better.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic pancakes and fruit yogurt plate.
Should have ordered the bacon but we will next time. Coffee was too acidic but otherwise really good. Our waiter was the best!!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance left a lot to be desired.
Got a table since it was close to the county government center and had just left a wedding, it was about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad. We were a party of 5 and got a very cramped table facing the bar. Or really why we picked this place since it's known for its beautiful views from the balcony. Service was ok, food took awhile but the drink arrived fast. I think that was the only saving grace. Drinks were very tasty, I'd recommend the passion fruit mimosa or the peach bellini. I'd recommend this place as the food was good but try to get a table near or in the balcony.

The birria tacos are delicious! The service on a busy morning was great as well they were very attentive.
Be the first to ReplyMy friend took be out to celebrate my birthday.
She dropped me off so I could get our name on the list as she found parking. At 8:45 am on a Thursday morning the wait was 10 to 15 minute for a table. The food is very good. I heard from the waitress it was the Soufflés pancakes that gave them their Michelin star. So we had to get that! They are so good! The vibe is fun but a bit twisted. Beside the eyeball that looks at you, the wallpaper near the bathroom is full of cockroaches. This place is an event and I see why people come.

I didn't mind the wait because of how excited I was to try this spot. The problem I did have was with the waitress, Rebecca, I believe her name was. She pretty much had a lot to say in regards to what we were ordering and how much. 1st comment was when I ordered the soufflé pancakes and birria. She asked "is that all for you or are you sharing?". I brushed it off. Second comment was when my fiancé ordered and she said "that's a lot a food, are you sure?" I don't see the need to comment or fat shame when we are the ones paying for the food. Totally ruined my experience and I never want to eat here again. It just felt very unwelcoming and I was so disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThe foods are great! The ambiance is awesome.
It's worth for the wait special on Saturday there's a farmer market that you can shop around while wait

Wait was super long and they don't take reservations so if you go on the weekend make sure you don't come hungry because you'll be waiting at least 30 mins to an hour! Ambiance and decor was so cool. Service was pretty slow, but they were friendly and recommended other places in San Diego. Bloody Mary was not good but the other drinks were! The food was small portions but pretty good, especially the soufflé pancakes which were unique! It's definitely meant for an Instagram worthy vibe and seems like everyone is just trying to impress each other. Overall it was a cool experience but a little overhyped!
Be the first to ReplyWe tried twice to come here for brunch.
The first time was on a Saturday where we were turned away because the wait was too long and we wouldn't be seated before the restaurant closes. The second time was on Sunday, and we waited a little over 2 hours to be seated. It's in the heat of little Italy so we didn't mind waiting and just walked around and got coffee nearby in the meantime. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance. The decor is really fun, fresh, and filled with pink. Definitely great for Instagram! Our waitress was very nice and attentive and joked around with us the entire time. We even had a couple of waiters and the manager check in on us to make sure we were having a good experience - super sweet! We tried the soufflé pancakes which were really good and fluffy, definitely worth it. We didn't get berries with it but consider adding it on as an option to enhance the pancake. The Turkish eggs in my opinion were overhyped. They were cold (which is how they're supposed to be served) but I wasn't expecting it. It felt like there was more yogurt than eggs and tomatoes/vegetables in the dish. I added hot sauce to it to make it more flavorful. Personally, I'm from a middle eastern background and would've preferred this spread from an Arabic restaurant or my mom's. Overall good experience, make sure if you want to try this place though you're willing to wait :)
Be the first to ReplyIf you like quality food, don't come here.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but this place was really disgusting. Also not kept up.

My partner and I came for a date day in SD and spontaneously decided to come here for brunch. We checked in around 12:30pm on a Friday and walked around downtown SD until we got seated around 1:45. The experience was worth the wait! Food/DrinkCucumber cup 9.5/10We split a drink and normally I don't like gin, but this was SO refreshing! The horseradish brine gave it some tartness that was really complimentary to the freshness of the cucumber. This particular drink was quite strong so be careful if you need to drive!Turkish eggs 10/10Eggs and toast but absolutely next level. The yogurt and dill were so refreshing and the eggs were poached to perfection. I added a dash of hot sauce and it was delectable. Hash browns 100000/10Best hash browns ever? Perfectly crunchy and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was my first time having hash browns where I felt like I didn't need to add any sauce to it to enhance it.Pork belly fried rice 9/10Decent sized portion. My partner and I would have preferred more veggies and pork belly slivers in the rice, but it had a nice smoky flavor and the rice itself was perfectly soft. Bacon 11/10Thicccc slices of bacon that made me feel like I was about to have some thick cut of pork belly from a kbbq spot. Really nice balance of sweet and smoky taste. We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food, ambiance, decor, was all so unique. The bathroom toilets even have heated seats! My only thing was that occasionally a bold pigeon would fly and perch on some of the decor on the high ceilings, but given the outdoor nature of the restaurant I'm not upset. We will definitely be coming back!
Be the first to ReplySuper cute and funky design.
Has a really comfortable vibe. The wait is outrageous to be seated but worth the wait. Everyone should experience this place at least once. Something that does deserve repeat devouring... the soufflé pancakes! My new fav is there French omelet and the espresso is incredible! I would give five stars but the wait is really long. I get it everyone wants in!!!
Be the first to ReplyMichelin star BURNT hash browns everyone! Waited an hour
Michelin star BURNT hash browns everyone! Waited an hour and 45minutes to not eat this! What the f*** is the hype about this place? The food is no where near Michelin start quality especially when you are waiting multiple hours to eat it. Cocktails are all super sweet. The worst part is that there are 2 bathrooms only and you will spend the majority of your time at this restaurant waiting in line to use the restaurant because every single girl is taking a million Instagram photos in the bathroom and not actually using it.There were 3 of us and we basically didn't eat our meal together because each person spent 15+min in line to use the bathroom. I eventually had to bang on the doors and yell at 3 girls to get out of the one bathroom because there was a line of 20 people waiting to pee. No one could get up to wash their hands before they ate because our food would have been cold by the time we got back to the table if we had waiting in that line again.WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! (And not even that cute for Instagram photos) UGH! I hate the hype about restaurants like this it is so annoying

AMAZING AMAZING FOOD! There's a reason why the waitlist can be over an hour long! Trust me this is a must place brunch spot in San Diego, and a beautiful interior! I come here every time I'm in the city.

Saw multiple reviews online so we prepared to stop by on our vacation. Totally worth the wait, a hour for 2 people around 11am on a week day. Before we even got our food my boyfriend was asking us to come back because of all the delicious food we could see everyone else receiving. The bartenders were very sweet and the food was quick even for a full a house.
Be the first to ReplySuper cool vibe and loved the soufflé pancakes.
I recommend putting your name on the list and going to balboa park to kill time until you get notified about your reservation. You have 10 mins to get back.

After a two hour wait, I expect to receive the food as ordered and of good quality. Unfortunately they was not the case. Steak was over cooked, waffle was soggy and side order was incorrect. While the food runner looked at us like we had three heads when we shared what was wrong, the server and manager were great at addressing our concerns. We were starving after waiting so long, so we didn't have them correct the food. It did ruin our last morning in San Diego.

I met a few coworkers for a work breakfast meeting and we were able to get a table for 4 without any reservations on a weekday. It wasn't too busy so our service was fast and everyone was very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food and my American breakfast was good as well - nothing spectacular but the sausage was the highlight of the plate. The ambiance was really fun and I'd definitely come back for a more casual visit and enjoy some of the drink menu options as well.
