Mount Gretna Hideaway Reviews
It was an okay place as far as the food went.
The bartender was very friendly and polite and took very good care of us. I read the PA restaurant inspection a week later and the results were less than flattering. I was surprised by how many infractions the restaurant had accrued. Again, I want to

This is not a restaurant that you would drive by unless you find it by mistake. This is a destination location.. Thus HIDEAWAY!.. We called ahead and ask for reservations and she said it was over an hour for seating inside. They also offer a huge o

I'm originally from this area and have always enjoyed stopping by when I'm home -- but tonight left me feeling disappointed and unwelcome. While sitting at the outside bar, the bartender made a homophobic remark about the city of San Diego
I've been here before, and all went well.
Today, I went for lunch and ordered the roast beef special #3, roast beef on sourdough bread, with French fries, smothered in gravy. Well, the bread was at least 3/4 inches thick, hiding 4-5 thin sliced (kinda fatty) and some fries, swimming in beef

Ambience is great. It was a beautiful night to sit outside at the bar. There was a small band that night which was nice. We ordered nachos and a few drinks. The drinks were good. The nachos were a little weird with a lot of shredded lettuce on top
Delicious food.
Good service and nice, relaxing environment! It makes you feel like you're hidden away on vacation somewhere!
May have been good food, but had little taste
Looks like a nice cozy place and we had been there a long time ago but wanted to try it again. We liked the pub atmosphere, and enjoy pub type food., but this visit was disappointing. I ordered a Caesar salad and the lettuce seemed fresh, but it was
Little out of the way place.
Quite woodsy and appropriate for the location. We went because a gift card was given and we had never been here before. We were greeted as the door by a helpful young man and seated. The dining room was nearly empty , mid week and at noon. A group o

I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was at this restaurant. The place is tucked away in the woods but has a cute ambiance. I went with a group of four on a Monday night. It was pretty quiet, maybe three other tables besides us. The Wint
Kind service.
My vegetables were not cooked as described in menu. However, it was a large portion, very good, so I took the rest home to use for leftovers. ( no waste). Husband's food was good. We will definitely go back. For a brunch, place was busy. Clean

Love summer nights on the deck! We went Saturday night and it was busy but we were seated quickly (and faster than the estimated wait - always a plus)! Our server was great, the menu had something for everyone and cocktails were delicious. They had l

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Mount Gretna Hideaway at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Mount Gretna Hideaway page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Mount Gretna Hideaway to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Mount Gretna Hideaway!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
