Mt. Adams Bar & Grill Cincinnati Reviews from The Last Year
Nice dining experience
We enjoyed this restaurant. The decor was great- the front of the house is vintage decor and the back is veranda/garden style. Lots of fun and kitschy items to catch the eye and the site itself has a history of occupants. They offer local brews and a nice menu with good prices. We enjoyed a handcrafted burger and a corned beef Rueben- both very good. The side of fries portion was too small, but they were good. It seems to a spot for locals, but we didn’t experience any snootiness as noted. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs. Loved the tin ceiling and the great back bar. (Note to management- clean the mirror, it looks bad)
A great classic Cincinnati pub up in Mt.
Adams and on the northend of the main strip. A historical building that has been treasured for years creates an amazing setting for great grub and good times. The menu is eclectic and the drinks are good. Have gone many times when in town for business or visiting my daughter at UC. Easily accessed from downtown or campus. Parking is on the street & is always interesting. Folks are always friendly & helpful. A good cultural destination if you're looking for a classic Cincinnati experience. Then go around the corner and enjoy some live music at The Blind Lemon!
Great salads and service was good.
Fun area of town with some great History! I really enjoyed my time here.
Check
Good food. Check. Reasonable. Check. Good choices. Check. Friendly staff. Check. Good service. Check. Atmosphere. Three rooms, all dripping with charm. I particularly liked the middle room, a 1940s pub feel. Three of us all had different things and shared two starters. Everything was top quality pub food. All of us really enjoyed the place and one of the three is Mr. Fussy Pants which speaks volumes.
Welcoming place with extensive food choices: unexpected
Welcoming place with extensive food choices: unexpected holiday lunch visit (due to unanticipated closure of Luca Bistro) led my friend and I here to a booth in the lovely atmospheric bar room where a friendly server delivered first a yummy chocolatini, then bangers to share and finally a Reuben sandwich. The food was OK, but the ambiance was sensational. I did not like the undisclosed up charge for my sweet potato fries offered by a server as a choice with my sandwich but that seems a niggle in view of the enjoyable experience of a truly hospitable atmosphere.
I had dinner here on Saturday evening before seeing a play
I had dinner here on Saturday evening before seeing a play with my daughter-in-law. It wasn't super busy when we arrived and we were seated quickly. We ordered cocktails - the Prohibition Manhattan - and it was perfect! The food was ok. Nothing great but we picked this place because of its proximity to the Playhouse. I had the Cheeseburger and my daughter-in-law had the Chicken Sandwich. The service was friendly and quick. The parking around this place is a nightmare, though. We drove around the blocks several times and it's difficult to find any street parking. We finally found a garage nearby for $5 - so, if you're eating dinner before a play you'd want to factor in the extra time to find parking.
Nice place for lunch, breakfast not so much.
I was in the mood for breakfast after being turned away at our hotel restaurant closing breakfast an hour early. I ordered bacon and eggs with toast from the side items. The bacon was burnt and the eggs were cold. The server put in another order of eggs that arrived warm but under cooked. They charged me $2.00 for an "order adjustment fee". Just not my day for breakfast I suppose. My wife had a BLT that used the same overcooked bacon. We have dined here several times and is one of our favorites when visiting Cincinnati. Every one has an off day and I will not let this stop me from returning.
Super cute place! Sad experience.
Didn't want it to be, but it was. We walked in at 9pm (closing at 10pm) hoping to get a burger or sandwich. Wouldn't seat us anywhere but the bar. Two people walked in after us and were seated at a booth. We then ordered a drink and asked if we could still prefer food. We were told yes but the kitchen is a bit backed up and unfortunately felt attitude from the at tender for the question. Then asked for a drink menu and got more defensiveness. Weird. Was a full moon but really! After a few minutes got a so. Story of how they were running out of food and the kitchen....etc. Meanwhile, the people who got the booth had a server and ordered. I really don't think we did anything other than try to have a drink and a burger. Just our experience but thought should be shared.
Food was pretty good but it was the bartender's customer
Food was pretty good but it was the bartender's customer service on 8/31/23 ( late lunch) that went above your regular expectations. See, I had ordered and eaten my lunch and then could not find my credit card. But until I frantically found it on my van floor, he really was extremely kind and did everything he could to decrease my stress. I will be back!
The food was good.
But they changed our tip amount. We specifically put 8 dollars and they changed it to 16 when we left the restaurant. Is this even legal?
Great bar and mostly good The bar staff are a little weird.
Always angry when the owners are away. Especially the recieding hair line kid. He os an annoying idiot. Get rid of him.

the food was delicious.
i got a salad with olives. there were only 2 olives in it though. i am not sure if that is what they normally do but i was hoping for a few more. the fries were delicious. my boyfriend got a sandwich that he really enjoyed. the servers were nice and patient with us considering we had never been there before. the restaurant was beautiful on the inside and out. i would definitely stop there again when in town.

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
