Nobu Hotel Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
This place was beautiful ! Service was amazing.
Our server (I believe her name was Christine) was super sweet the whole time. I've never been here before and she made me feel welcomed. Food wise, I was super undecided on what to get as everything on the menu sounded amazing, so I asked for her recommendation. She mentioned the sea bass and I figured why not! Truly, it did not disappoint. I'm so happy I went with her recommendation. She came over every time she saw my drink getting low and offered to get me another, which I appreciated. Can't say it enough how sweet she was and she made this experience so great. I did give it 4 stars because I called ahead of time to see what time Nobu closed and the lady that answered told me they seat people/ take reservations until 9:45. We got there at 9:30 and the host made me feel a little uncomfortable making a comment on how they close at 10 even though I had just called and was told it was still fine to come in.
Amazing Service!
Recently just came back from a weekend getaway with my husband. Ran into a slight issue with our TV, but was able to contact the front desk and they sent someone right away to fix it. Ty’Riq was able to fix it for us with what it felt like 10 minutes! He was very welcoming as we were able to chat a bit about suggestions on things to do in the city. Thank you Ty’Riq for helping us and for being so efficient!
Had a great time at Nobu for my wife's birthday.
Reservations may not be required, but I would recommend you make one. The atmosphere was high-end, the drinks were reasonably priced and tasted great, and the food was immaculate. This is definitely a place where your taste buds will be amazed. The service was typical of this type of place and everyone was very friendly. I will would go back again.
Nikki is the best waitress I've ever had.
The best service. Request Nikki!! She is so thoughtful and makes the experience so enjoyable.

I've been to Nobu Malibu multiple times, but I will say Nobu Atlanta didn't disappoint. Great good and great service. I'll be back for sure :)

Came to the Atlanta location for my birthday dinner and the experience was very special. Jeffery, our waiter, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The libations were made to perfection and the food presentation was stunning. Each staff we interacted with, went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner a memorable occasion! Cheers!
My top three hotel stays.
Awesome birthday experience! Definitely a celebrity site spot!! The room was very cozy, the pillowtop bed I wish we could take home! With the sexy Porsche Car Services was icing on the cake!! Ramadan, Darren, and Marcus took good care of us!
uncooked food (i.
e. uncooked fish). don't come here. my name bob harkatein and i am a proud yelp application reviewer. kind regards
Expensive, still hungry but good service and experience.
Served family style but not family portions.
I’lol be back!
The room was clean and fresh. I loved the ambiance and calmness of the atmosphere and decor. I also love that you are only granted access to your floor. Ramadan displayed excellent customer service while helping me with my bags. He even gave me a quick tour of my room to ensure I knew where everything was since it was my first time. Overall great for business or pleasure; I will be back!!
The food and service were so top notch.
The space and ambiance were relaxing. The server was very accommodating and gave recommendations.
We sat at the bar and the service was very attentive.
The food was immaculate. Nobu is in my top 3 sushi restaurants that are not strictly Omakase experiences. I would recommend any of the dishes we enjoyed.
Fantastic food and service.
The standouts were the Miso Parmesan Rice, Miso Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice. Nice decorum, kinda modern Japanese. Exceptionally priced, this is a place to splurge for a really nice night out. Quality over quantity here.
I was very very disappointed in the service.
Food was good. Service was HORRIBLE. It took 45 mins to receive a drink. It was my birthday and they did not even acknowledge it. They claimed the bar was packed. The restaurant on a busy Friday night was half full. We will not be returning. Umi's food is just as good or better, and the service is perfect!
I came here for one of my friend's birthday and I can say
I came here for one of my friend's birthday and I can say this is a nice place for special occasions. It is a little difficult to find if you don't frequent Phipps often, so be on time if you've never been lol. When it comes to the food, I feel like the food is definitely overpriced for the taste and portion. I feel like $48 dollars for a sushi is a little insane for it to taste mediocre. There were some stand out items such as the fish. The fish and also the Parmesan rice were very flavorful. The sushi, ribeye, shrimp stir fry were just ok to me nothing too spectacular. Service was also a bit slow this night and it was a Saturday. Not sure if I would give them a try again, but if I do I know what to get and what not to get.

Was so excited to try Nobu because I have always heard great things. My expectations were high and not met to the slightest. My service was terrible. The waiter often disappeared when I was trying to order more drinks/food. The tables were so close together it felt like I was eating with the party next to me. The food was fine but I felt I could get the same thing for half the price somewhere else. The manager was nice to give us a free drink and took some items off the bill because of the terrible service.

I went for my birthday and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience. We had a party of 10 and the service was beyond great and the food was amazing. I definitely look forward to going back!

This experience was very nice overall because the restaurant is extremely comfortable and clean. The service is also outstanding. However, the food is very very expensive. The food was good, don't get me wrong but it was not as amazing as I expected it to be. As a sushi fanatic, I was underwhelmed. There are a few things I would go back for, both the sashimi plates posted were excellent, best things we ordered. Not worth the pricing in my opinion but makes a good date night for ambiance and drinks.
Had an amazing meal at Nobu, and great service.
Previously went to the location in the bahamas, first time going in the states. Top sushi!
Failed but not irreparable
Booked this hotel through Amex FHR. The rate and additional perk of free valet parking was appealing and we decided to give them a try. Nobu is a fairly new property located in Phipps Plaza. It’s difficult to find and not ideally situated. Valet and bell staff are very efficient and courteous. Initial checkin was pleasant, but it is quite evident that the staff is new and not well trained. That being said most are eager, willing and have great potential. There were also signs that the hotel was under staffed, as we saw many employees that seemed to be working double shifts and one particular staff member, as we were told, had multiple performance issues, but had not been terminated. More on that later. Our initial impressions were good. The hotel lobby smells amazing and we were offered a lovely tea and hot towels. We received the FHR room upgrade to a higher floor executive room. When we arrived to our room it was clean, sufficiently spacious and well decorated. We unpacked and decided to relax a bit before dinner. Here’s where our pleasant experience takes a turn. First, the remote for the TV was missing, no big deal, called the front desk and one was delivered. Next, as we are relaxing a loud rumble starts to emanate from the HVAC system. It was so loud I recorded it and called the front desk. We were asked if we’d like them to send up the engineer. My first thought was, is this a rhetorical question? YES! 10 minutes later a gentleman arrives at our door. My husband tells him the issue and plays the recording. He literally stood in one spot frozen staring at the HVAC unit in silence, a long uncomfortable silence. Then the whiff of marijuana permeated the room and hit us in the face. This “engineer” after breaking his stare and silence finally spoke and said “ahhhh, I don’t know”. We immediately sent him on his merry, useless way and called the front desk. Now, we are concerned for our safety and very uneasy. The front desk apologized and relocated us to a different room. A downgrade from the original room, on a lower floor where we had the pleasure of having a front row seat to the roaring car and motorcycle sideshow that went on all night. Additionally, when the person from the front desk brought us our new keycard, we got an earful about the “engineer”. We were told that he’s been a “problem” for a very long time and they haven’t been able to get rid of him. Thanked us for exposing him, so they can finally do something. What?! Needless to say we did not sleep. I called the front desk to request that we be allowed to checkout without further charges. The gentleman we spoke to apologized profusely and asked if there was anyway that they could rectify the situation and give them another chance. But first he needed to wait for his manager to arrive. He was very kind and convincing, so we decided we would at least speak to the manager. When we let him know of our safety concerns about them having a “problem” employee he stated that “xxxx was harmless”. Clearly the entire staff knows about xxxx. He asked us how we knew about xxxx performance issues. I told him and he was rather appalled, as he should have been. Fast forward we spoke to the manager, who was gracious and professional. She said she needed to speak to her manager and would call us later. Apparently her empowerment is limited to $100. Lack of empowerment and training is a clear problem at this property. She then proceeded to tell us the range of accommodations that would possibly be made. We found this a bit premature and confusing considering she did not have the power to make such a decision. By the end of the day we were placed in an upgraded room and comped 1 day. A far cry from the range of outcomes promised, but acceptable. We were hopeful that our challenges were behind us, but no. We were charged for parking daily and had to call/message to have the billing corrected multiple times. Then after we checked out my Amex was charged for breakfast, which was included with FHR. I was told that they saw the error and it would be corrected. Disappointed to say, it has not and I’ve had to initiate a dispute with Amex. The bottom line is, we encountered so many employees who worked hard, were enthusiastic and had limitless potential. Unfortunately, from our perspective their talents are undeveloped as they are not trained or supported. As a corporation they are failing these folks. Also note, that this hotel has replaced its GM within a year of opening. Which tells me the problems are systemic and start at the top. This property does not meet the Nobu tradition of excellence or the Amex FHR expectation.
Time away from Chicago
I would have to say that from the time of check-in to the time of check-out, my stay at the property was terrific. Upon entering the building, I was welcomed by Irasshaimsai (which means welcome). I was walked up to my room by the bellman supervisor, and it looked like he was training a new associate. Entering my room, they also showed me the ins and outs of the tech in the room. The hotel room was spacious and welcoming. I have stood here for about five nights, and waking up felt tremendous and refreshing each morning. Also, I liked the Hinoki bath stool; I must get one for my apartment. I did get a chance to dine in the Nobu Restaurant for Breakfast each morning, and I didn't see much of a Japanese flair for breakfast but just had the Americanized items they had. The hotel is also right across from the Phipps Plaza - Luxury Mall and AMC movie theater, which is very convenient. I would come back for a future stay when seeing family again.
Great hotel
The hotel is perfectly situated in Phipps Plaza and the team at the front desk is top notch - Antonese is the best! And, I heard she's a great mom! I will come back when I'm in Atlanta next time for business. Bar and restaurant were great also.....
Great hotel for all stays
As a frequent traveler, I really love this hotel. Whether I'm traveling on business or for personal reasons, Nobu is a great fit. The staff is friendly, the rooms, gym, and lobby are always clean, the location is great, and the Porche shuttle service is a nice touch. I also would like to give a special shoutout to Antonise (sp), who is relatively new but still explified a can do attitude and was really helpful as I sought to sort out some things from previous stays
Great location…excellent staff…
Nobu Atlanta is great..nice friendly staff..excellent fitness center…nice roomy rooms…restaurant excellent…would be nice if room service had more variety of foods offered..loved the Nobu Porsche experience…Darren is a great driver
Ramadan is the best!!
Excellent accommodations and service. Second time staying. Rooms are beautiful and amenities are well-appointed. Attentive staff and Ramadan was urgent, kind and friendly during a busy weekend! Five stars all around!! I will be back soon
Amazing breakfast
It was a great experience with Antonese. The stay at Nobu was definitely an unforgettable experience especially the breakfast was surprisingly good, I really enjoyed the omelet with its unique layers. Thanks again for taking care of us Antonese!
Smells Amazing
My husband and I recently enjoyed a staycation at Nobu Atlanta. Having dined at the restaurant several times before, we decided to experience the hotel. As others have mentioned, the hotel greets you with a delightful aroma upon entering, and we found the service and location to be excellent. The hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of great shops and restaurants, and the even offers a house car for short rides. However, I must admit that I was not overly impressed with the rooms. Despite reserving a Premium King, which we assumed would be on a higher floor, we ended up on the third floor. The room and bathroom were a bit smaller than expected, but nicely decorated. We made our reservation using a credit card that offered a hotel credit and a breakfast credit. During check-out the next morning, we were informed that the invoice for our stay would be emailed later in the day. Unfortunately, we never received the invoice but noticed a charge for breakfast on our credit card statement. Upon calling to inquire about the credit, the responsive staff quickly corrected the charges and promptly emailed us an invoice. While the hotel has a few flaws, we are open to giving it another try in a different room category.
Exquisitie Japanese cuisine.
Finding the parking is a chore but once at the hotel and restaurant, it's worth it. Place was empty for lunch and decor is sterile. Stop there as the food and service are amazing. We came for my dad's 95th and we had a private room for 14. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Food is amazing. We had fixed menu and the sushi; cod; sashimi; and matcha ice cream were exquisite. I recommend.
