Can’t go wrong
We had a great experience. Terrific service and excellent food. Everything is delicious. Sat outside and it was great. Indoor is nice, but it’s a big place and probably gets pretty loud quickly. Our key to making Nobu visits (no matter where) a nice experience: Don’t sit in the main dining room and don’t come on a Saturday at 8pm. Works for us all the time and we thoroughly enjoy our visits. This one here was no exception. Would definitely go back.

Had a great date night at Nobu! Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and wonderful service. Sushi and tempura are my favorites. Amazing food experience!
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a special occasion
This is definitely a place I’d call fine dining. The six small dishes we shared were really tasty and will prepared. The wait and serving staff were absolutely on the spot, friendly and knowledgeable. The cost for a good dinner is way up in the 5-star realm. One thing that I didn’t care too much about was the background tech music playing rather loudly. All in all…..try it for a great night out
Be the first to ReplyBest Belated Birthday in my 67 years!
The time of my LIFE!!!! I’m a long time sushi fan (since 1980’s in NYC). Helping with my new grandson in NYC I was scheduled to go to Nobu there. Sadly had to cancel . On our recent dental conference in Scottsdale I took myself while hubby was elsewhere ( he’s not into fish). Someone told me to try the Chefs tasting & wow it was beyond. I savored every bite . Ordered 2 saki’s & Ikura . They spoiled me then… Jessica COMPED the whole meal WHAT !!! Unforgettable, best belated birthday of my life. Thanks Chef Julio & waiter Tyler, go if you get the chance. I’m donating all season paying it forward.

What an enjoyable experience at Nobu at the bar. Beautiful restaurant. Lots of comfy seating 'living room style' in the bar area. Waited out the rain and were blessed with excellent service by the bartenders, especially Robin. Martinis were awesome, served with a smile. A little loud at times: all martinis are shaken vigorously (your martini will be blissfully bruised) in stainless steel, and martinis are very popular. Water refilled constantly and unobtrusively. Shrimp+Lobster with lemon garlic sauce was awesomely delicious. King Crab tempura was decadent. Best seafood in town. Will return for the sashimi etc. Note: Google Maps may present Nobu as located inside of Dillards (that kept me busy for about 20 minutes). It is attached but separate, between Dillards and Lifetime. Valet parking available ($20!), check out the free parking in the structure on the north side of LifeTime.

Lovely, high-quality sushi and creative presentations. Great server who was fun and knowledgeable. The place was hopping on a Wednesday night with a lively bar area. A very nice treat. You will want to make reservations.

Nobu Scottsdale has excellent food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. They have excellent customer service here and make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal. Good experience every time I have been here.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent evening
We were there for dinner with our kids. We asked for a quiet table, and they gave us a table in a semi private room. The service was attentive and excellent. The food was interesting and, also, excellent. My wife said that her sushi was one of the best she’s ever had. We will go back.

Food was amazing!! My child has Celiac but I called ahead and they said they could prepare safely and they did. Knocked it out of the park! She said it was the absolute best sushi and we all felt like the staff was so knowledgeable and safe. Plus they made us feel like it was no big deal to have an "allergy" as we usually say. THANK YOU NOBU. We will be back again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dinner
Great food, unique dishes. We love sushi and we did not like this sushi at all. All the other raw fish, Shishito peppers, and dessert were amazing! Cocktails were really good as well; it just took close to 20 minutes to get a drink each time we ordered. super slow.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Favorite items of the night wagu dumplings, sashimi salad, lobster taco and bento box. Would definitely come back next time we are in town

I’ve visited several Nobu restaurants around the world and they rank as one of my top three sushi restaurants. Highly recommend the spicy rock shrimp, waygu tacos, waygu steak, and crispy Brussel sprouts. Their service is always top notch with a friendly k menu that is superb. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyIt was OK
I have enjoyed Nobu in various states and countries, this is the least overwhelming experience. No major complaints, it is just that when I decide to go for a treat, and special occasion I anticipate being impressed very pleasantly. This was OK, the service was amazing, the food was mediocre for the price. We enjoyed other restaurants in Scottsdale the same week, which we will be visiting again.
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming food experience
Really underwhelmed with my dinner at Nobu. I ordered the omakase and am vegetarian don’t eat fish. I was excited for this dinner because a few months ago I had the most amazing meal at Nobu Malibu. 8-9 course with the most creative and delicious vegetarian Japanese food I have ever had so I really talked this dinner up with my friend but it was so disappointing. Had 5 courses 2 of which were mushrooms. No tofu or other protein was offered. Ended with an avocado roll. Everything tasted delicious but it was pretty boring and sorely lacked creativity. Also for the price it was not worth it. Service and ambiance were excellent.
Be the first to ReplySushi and SO MUCH MORE!
One of my daughters suggested this spot and we were in the mood for sushi, so we agreed to go. Wow. What an amazing place. We stared at the menu for a bit before the four of us decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and we went with the tasting menu. Boy are we glad we did. The food preparations were unique, fresh, amazing and tasty. it was expensive, but it was worth every dollar!
Be the first to ReplyGood but pricey
For such a pricey restaurant, it is surprising their doors open exactly at 530pm with a line! Kinda strange. The service is very speedy. Almost feels rushed. Food flavors are good. The yellowtail ap was fresh. The shiahitos were tangy. Lobster ceviche was excellent. Miso Soup was average. Tuna cruch was sticky but good. Crab tempura was excellent. Flambayed Waygu was great. It was flavorful and presented artfully. California roll was average. The key lime dessert was just right! Overall was a fun meal but def pricey.
Be the first to ReplyIts ok! food is alright. Drinks are decent.
Great ambiance. Recently re-visited for some drinks with my girlfriends. Went there around 10pm, no line. We were able to get drinks from the bar and sit outside although no service was available outside. Last summer I dined in and the AC was out, which was not the most pleasant experience as it was really hot inside.. Overall decent place for a night out.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible service
I’m very unhappy with my experience. The service was horrible my server who is the lead bartender a male. My husband and I traveled from Tucson for my Anniversary Dinner. I wanted to just order sushi that was cooked because I’m pregnant and I can’t eat raw sushi. We were so excited to try this establishment. The server asked if we wanted anything to drink. We both only asked for water since I can’t have alcohol and my husband had to drive back to tucson after picking up our kids from the babysitter. Once our server noticed we were not drinking and getting light sushi he did not come back to ask yo refill our water. We waited for our sushi for well over 25 minutes. When we got our Sushi it was warm as if it had been sitting. He told us the sushi was backed up if we wanted to place more orders now as if trying to up charge the bill for a bigger tip percentage. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and I would never treat a customer so poorly as this gentleman did to us. We are a mixed couple and we felt we were treated as poor just because I didn’t order more which I couldn’t because I was pregnant and I mainly came to try the sushi. He then did not come back to our table or make any type of conversation with us after dropping off warm sushi. The California roll and avocado roll was warm and wasn’t pleasant nor was it served properly. It was my anniversary and it was a Sunday night where it was not busy at all. If this is the customer service your lead bartender gives to customers. The managers Jessica Lee and James should be ashamed of themselves for giving such a title to a person who treats customers so poorly. I work for a Fortune 500 company and my team members knew I was excited about trying this establishment for the first time. I advised my team in Tucson my experience was horrible and we won’t be going back due to our server. They were shocked! It is definitely unacceptable and because we were pre judged from the start we were treated poorly. I’m so disappointed in this establishment and will be sending emails to the general managers. This server was still tipped at 30% because I myself was a server at a Japanese restaurant for over 7+ years and I regret giving that high of a tip with that bad of service. I also want to add he did not say Happy anniversary or cash me out but sent another lady to send me my check. Which is another slap in the face. Very disappointed for a special day that should always be remembered and celebrated in the best way. 5 years of marriage anniversary. I hope people think twice about coming here. We definitely will.

First time here, for a birthday dinner. Though surprisingly loud, the service and food are excellent. I was not a fan of sushi prior to having it here. Reservations and valet service a plus.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced for the experience
We were expecting so much more from this place, but it was loud, the door to the kitchen opened up to sloppy shelving that you can see, and just ok food. Not sure why everyone says Nobu is amazing unless it is just this location which is easily forgettable.
Be the first to ReplyNear Perfection
Just spectacular. Even for the non-adventurous, give it a try, and listen to your server when they make suggestions. You won’t regret it. Unique flavors that surprise you and are simply near-perfection. So fresh.
The service was unpretentious, friendly and very professional. The atmosphere is elegant and simple. No need for the rather loud, thumping music that make conversations a bit more difficult. We’re not old folks, but it was still a bit too loud for the experience we were enjoying; just didn’t really fit. Also, they could probably enforce their clearly-stared dress code a bit more strictly.
Excellent service
Great experience! Judy was our server and she was amazing! Made great recommendations: the warm mushrooms salad was phenomenal!
We also ordered sushi and nigiri, it was fresh and tasty.
Not Worthy of Bearing the NOBU Name
Having dined at various Nobu establishments in the likes of New York and Las Vegas, the writer was utterly disappointed in the revelation that the Scottsdale location is simply not worthy of bearing the Nobu name.
Our dining experience lacked in totality with respect to the culinary familiarity in all capacities from service to ambiance to the cuisine itself. This location simply lacks "energy" from design to staffing to ambiance to the food itself. Don't misunderstand, the food was decidedly not bad, but simply did not live up to what one expects to savour in every bite from Nobu and particularly given their exorbitant pricing. An establishment such as Roka Akor Scottsdale is far superior in all dimensions for those seeking a superior Japanese culinary experience.
Truly not worthy of a return engagement!
Nobu great, Scottsdale Nobu not so much
Kitchen very slow. Waitstaff not great (We had an unexplained switch part way through after the first one disappeared on us - but was still waiting on nearby tables). 2nd one was no better. They in attentive and when they attentive they pushy. Scallop came out way overcooked (it happens), but we couldn't tell anyone because no-one was around. We were warned by friends who were here a few months ago that service was terrible, and I guess it hasn't improved. Food came out uneven. The inattentive waitress and slow kitchen cost them money as I would have ordered more. Some of what we had matches the Nobu high standard quality of their other locations. So I'll try another Nobu again, but not this one until I hear it improves. Inside distance fair, we ate outside, staff in masks. Dress nice casual. Make a reservation far in advance. Parking ramp across the street, valet available. Menu on QR code.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food. Mediocre service.
Dined here this evening. The food was terrific however the server had attitude. The helpers were great and explained things. The server would drop food and never came to check on us. Very disappointing that a restaurant of that caliber has awful service. Been to many Nobu’s and have always had a wonderful experience all around. Again the food is terrific, however a server can make or break your evening.
