Novikov Miami Reviews from The Last Year
Worst most inappropriate serverI have ever encountered.
Our last entree did not come out and we were all finished with our dishes. When we went to check in what happened and tapped our server on the shoulder he went ballistic and said servers should never be touched. To put this in context it is an extremely loud restaurant and you could not hear one another so to get our server's attention we needed to tap him. The manager was extremely apologetic but we will never return. From the food quality and noise the experience is not worth the price, lots of other options in the area. The manager was very nice but really did nothing they even had the nerve to charge us a 20% gratuity!! He said he would reverse the charges but has not to date.

Novikov Miami was nothing short of exceptional, an experience that truly stands out in the vibrant Miami dining scene. From the moment we were greeted until our last bite, every aspect of our visit was phenomenal. Each dish was a highlight in its own right, masterfully prepared with the freshest ingredients. The robata grill dishes were a particular delight, offering a smoky richness that is hard to find elsewhere. The wok dishes, with their vibrant flavors and perfectly cooked ingredients, were equally impressive. And the sushi? Simply unparalleled in freshness and creativity. The service matched the quality of the food, with attentive and knowledgeable staff making our evening all the more enjoyable. It's clear that Novikov Miami is not just about dining; it's about creating memorable experiences for its guests. In a city teeming with dining options, Novikov stands out for its commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional service. This visit was one for the books, and I'm already looking forward to my next meal at this culinary gem.
Had an awesome time eating at Novikov yesterday.
Our server was so caring and welcoming. He recommended that we try the wasabi martini, which was dangerously good. I am not big into martinis but it was absolutely unique and delicious. Some of the highlights of the menu were the duck and the toro bonito crispy rice. Sit outside if you can and weather permits. Cool ambiance!
best restaurant in Miami.
beautiful place with amazing vibes and atmosphere. manager Valeria is a super star All crew members are a 10+ Peking duck is the best I've ever tried in my life
This place has amazing vegan options on their menu.
I tried the spicy edamame, vegetable roll, seaweed salad, and Singapore noodles, they were all amazing. Very cute place and loved the vibes. Our server was amazing as well! We came in with no reservation on a Monday and was seated promptly. Will be back again soon!

Novikov did not disappoint! Front of the house team professionally prepared me for an amazing meal of multiple dishes from the kitchen...wait staff was on top of their game, dishes came out timely and to perfection! The dim sum was mouth watering and the truffle butter king crab melted in the mouth. Special shout out to the very attentive GM Wanderson who visited the table to ensure everything was to perfection. Will definitely go back.

Awesome lunch! Thoroughly enjoyed Novikov at a customer/client lunch. They open the doors at 1201, not a minute before so be patient the, wait is worth it. The much crowd is super heavy so make a reservation ahead of time or show up before they open and be at the front of the line. Our table enjoyed some awesome food from sushi, shrimp, tempura, and Thai dumpling appetizers. For main courses we had entrees like the Branzino, more Thai dumplings and several sushi rolls. You cannot go wrong with anything in the menu (Japanese inspired dishes on the left and Chinese on the right). I look forward to returning at night time to enjoy that experience.

The boyfriend and I were in Miami for the week and since we missed the Chinese New Year celebratations at home, we decided to look around to find somewhere that served dumplings and (some semblance of) traditional Chinese food. I was able to book a reservation the day off, a few hours before. When I told him where we were going, he skeptically asked, "Russian?". I was curious as well. When we arrived, the atmosphere was lively and the lighting situation was reminiscent of members only clubs in Manhattan. The DJ looked terribly bored, but she was gorgeous and didn't seem to need the liveliness of traditional dance floor DJs. Decor was typical upscale Miami. Colorfully decadent with bold splashes of motifs. There was a golden statue of a tree (I think?) In the waiting area, while the front wall had an impressive wine cellar. We ordered two orders of dim sum dumplings, which came with four per order. We also opted for half a peking duck and the vegetarian Singaporean noodles. Everything tasted great and just like the whole theme of the restaurant, was an interesting intepretation of Asian food. The duck was the star of the show and was served with chives, hoisin sauce, and crepes (unlimited refills?). I also ordered a wasabi martini just because it sounded interesting, and it tasted exactly as I thought. The tartness of the yuzu was able to blend seamlessly with the wasabi for an interesting cocktail.
Underwhelmed
I just had dinner … was underwhelmed. If some one is looking to meet a beautiful women -just stay buy the bar… dinner could be better

This is one of downtown Miami's little gems (no so little). The place has it all. Good food, speciality cocktails The reason it gets 4 and not five is because the service can use some energy. (Insert shameless RedBull plug). I've eaten here for lunch, dinner, and been to the happy hours. The waiters I assume tend to be busy and forget about tables. I've waited 16min once before I got water and placed my drink order. The silver lining is this is an easy fix and doesn't fully take away from all the positives this place offers. As for the ambiance think delightfully chosen artistic pieces around the restaurant to complement the open Asian style and seafood market. Big windows and open space to allow for some intimacy. Now food! For starters I've had the shishito peppers, the spicy edamame, and brussel sprouts, crispy pork Bao Buns, and crispy pork. All of which I would recommend. Pro Tip: unless on a fixed menu the items come to order and are more shareable portions. Pro Pro Tip: experience the preset executive lunch menu. For lunch/dinner I've had the Salmon Miso Truffle Maki, Salmon Toro, king crab spring rolls, shao shao chicken, wagyu skirt steak, beef fried rice, and bang bang broccoli. You might think that's a lot but Novikov's menu is extensive and I have a long way to go. But from the list about I highlight recommend them all. You get a great balance of flavor, spice, heat, and goodness. I'll be back! #Yesvikov
Fantastique
Had a fantastic dinner! The Wasabi Martini is a must-try and different than almost any other cocktail I've ever had; the Octopus appetizer is amazing and worth ordering each time; and a huge shout out to Dominique the manager and Mike P. the server! Mike really gave us an experience rather than 'just a meal', and we'll definitely be back (and will ask for him!)
Excellent food
I was already familiar with Novikov restaurants in London and Doha (Qatar), and this one in Miami maintains the same level of excellent food and efficient service. We went as a family of 4 and tried 7 different dishes, all spectacular. The 7 pm time slot is better for a family outing, as later hours tend to cater more to adults (nightclub style) The cost should be calculated at $120 per person, including tips. Valet parking costs an additional $22, even though it is advertised at $15, and the service is quite slow.
Underwhelming Novikon branch.
Very mediocre food, condescending service, weird vibes, extremely overpriced for what it is. If you have ever been to Novikov in London, the one in Miami is like it's weird uncle who is not actually related to you and is weird during Christmas parties. Felt uncomfortable the whole night and we don't even know why. Save your money and go to Zuma.
Worst impossible!!
Worst experience EVER! I booked new years dinner for myself and my 3 teenage children. I was willing to pay the considerable amount of US$395.09/person for a set menu. I hoped to have and provide my children with a memorable dining experience. We were almost fooled by the “per person” menu - they wanted to deceive us by sending only 1 portion of each dish to be “divided” between 4 people, even though I had paid for 4 people. the manager tried to “argue”, without success, as nothing was clearer than the menu charged “per head” and at no point did it say that if there was more than 1 peasa, the dishes would be divided, but the price would remain per person. The famous FOOLS ME I LIKE IT! As if that wasn't enough, the dishes took so long (from 9pm to 11:5pm) they hadn't served the main dishes. At this point we had lost our hunger and good mood… I ordered the desserts, skipping the main dishes and the bill (absurd!!) and we went back to the hotel. With the terrible feeling of having given pearls to swine... Terrible!!
Average food
Good service but very average food compare to one in London and other top restaurants in Miami. Black cod was overcooked and rolls were average at best.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Outstanding food and service. We really enjoyed a great meal. In particular, they served a gigantic tiger prawn split and cut into succulent bites with a delicious sauce. We tried several dim sum appetizers which were on point. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. I was too full to order dessert so I look forward to that on my next visit. Super friendly and attentive service.
Great quality food and great variety
Maki and dim sum have been amazing. Can’t resist to order a grilled gigantic prawn with truffle oil and it was worth it!

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
Newbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
