Be the first to ReplyAh everything we tried was so so good.
I love some good fusion or modern twist to Asian inspired foods & I will say that this was it. Although everything was good. Dying to come back to the lychee keen drink and the legendary burger! Get a resy because wait times can be long and honestly they get booked out over the weekends

The vibes were immaculate when we went! Feels homey without feeling crowded. Food and drinks were spectacular all across the board! Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I came here on a weekday evening with a friend (made a resy prior). The ambiance gives off a cozy spot with a grungy, hip vibe, featuring neon lights and a selection of R&B and classic rock music and the service is friendly, adding to the inviting experience. Overall I'd say the cuisine is an inventive Korean-New York fusion dishes that offer a modern twist on traditional flavors, and has a blend of comfort food and pub grub. We ordered THE EP along with some other dishes: - Nowon Fried Chicken - 3/5 wasn't outstanding but wasn't bad either! - Lil baby kale salad - 3/5 a bit too salty when we had it - Whipped Ricotta Toast - 4/5 would recommend if you like ricotta - Extraordinary tots - 4/5 I'm a sucker for anything fries-related so this was good - Chopped cheese rice cakes - 4/5 would recommend - Legendary cheeseburger - 3/5 unsure if I was overly hyped up about it but it turned out ok - Creme brulee - 3/5 In summary, I'd recommend this place if you live around the area.

Had to try the legendary Nowon burger! I came here with friends on a Monday night for dinner, after we'd made a reservation for five people. We each basically got the Legendary Burger and I also tried the cheesy rice sticks. Both were very delicious and arguably worth the hype. Burger: 5/5 great sauce, fluffy patty with lots of sesame seeds, and an incredible kimchi sauce! This was very filling and most of us at the table agreed it was one of the best burgers (top 5) that we've had. Cheesy rice stick 4/5: great flavor and creative dish, but it was not a lot of rice sticks for the price. Service was great (we always had water!) and the ambience was nice - it's dimly lit with some cool lights. The music was maybe a bit loud and made it hard for me to hear my friend from across the table. The bathroom was kind of a fun vibe, with a single disco ball. I'm really glad I tried Nowon, although it was a bit hard to get a reservation so probably wouldn't be able to come here too often.
Be the first to ReplyNowon has been on my want to try list for a long time.
The vibe was cool with the neon and all. Grungy and hip. Finally managed to try it, and it was pretty sinful and good (though perhaps not worth all that hype). We got the full set menu: 1. Broccolini: pretty good. Akin to a Caesar but with broccolini. 2. Whipped ricotta toast: gotta love whipped ricotta with spiced honey. Good, but also something you can easily make. Good but nothing that different. 3. Chopped cheese rice cakes: I was excited to try this and it defo tasted like chopped cheese. Good with the chewy tteokbokki. A bit too salty. 4. Extraordinary tots with the honey butter: extra crispy and oily. Good but kinda missing the whole honey butter flavor. Good but could be better. 5. Legendary burger: some deemed this one of the best burgers in the city. It was good with the bulgogi flavors in the smash burger but wouldn't say it's the best burger out there. 6. Fried chicken: KFC is always good. This was alright. Just alright. Nothing special. You could get much better elsewhere. 7. Black sesame brรปlรฉe: good ending to a heavy salt-forward and greasy meal. Pretty good. Overall, Nowon gives you some greasy comfort food / pub grub if that's your jam. Vibe was good. Food was good, but not outstanding. Good place to hang out with friends though the pacing with dishes felt a bit rushed- not enough time to actually hang out and chill with friends since the gaps in between reservations was a bit too short.

We had a 5pm reservation on the weekend, which is when they open. A couple people walked in at the same time, and they were able to get seating at the bar or in their outdoor dining area, so you could definitely come around opening time without a res! The restaurant had a nice vibe, and their choice of music was great (R&Bish if I remember correctly). The tasting menus were tempting but unfortunately we weren't that hungry. I mostly came for the smashburger and it did not disappoint - super juicy and flavorful, with a bit of spice from the kimchi sauce. The chopped cheese rice cakes were also delicious, but $18 is a lot for a small plate of rice cakes. I didn't get a chance to try their drinks or some other promising items on the menu, but I'd definitely come back when I get the chance!

Came here for the 3rd time and it did not disappoint when it came to the food. My friend and I walked in and we were able to snag a table outdoors. The outdoor space only accommodates about 3 larger tables. I was first introduced to this restaurant by a friend and I've been wanting to check out their new location in Williamsburg. We went with EP option, which came with 5 courses: 1) Lil Baby Kale Salad 2) Spicy Gochujang Nowon Fried Chicken 3) "Chopped Cheese" Rice Cakes 4) Honey Butter Extraordinary Tots 5) 1/2 Legendary Burger Everything was delicious with my favorites being the Rice Cakes and Tots. They have seasonal infused soju as well if you're looking for something refreshing. The service was quick even sitting outside and food came out quickly. The end of the night however we were asked to pay and leave for another party. Understandable, but not very courteous experience which ended the night on a low.

This place is amazing, TRY IT! My partner and I did their prefix tasting menu and loved every single dish we got. For $50 each it's 7 courses including a dessert and you will get full! The meals were creative and so flavorful. I can't choose one as my favorite but gotta shout out the chop cheese rice cakes - unreal! Never had anything like it before. Can't wait to go back and eat it all over again. The restaurant itself is small but has a great vibe. It's a good date spot although I did see a large group having a party, looks like they had a giant beer tower to themselves.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of Asian fusion food, but damn Nowon was quite good, definitely surprised me. Had a reservation a few weeks beforehand and was seated promptly when we got there. The food was very efficient, maybe served too efficiently because all the food came out all at once but its okay, they were okay slowing the speed down when asked. We ordered The Classic which made me extremely stuffed by the end but not overly full that I wanted to throw up. I guess that's the perfect balance right. - Whipped Ricotta Toast - This was my boyfriend's favorite thing of the meal and it set the tone of the meal. The ricotta was incredibly light and fluffy and I loved the pairing with chili oil and marmalade. This is what Nowon is great at, the absolute complexity of each dish. - Charred Broccolini a la 'Caesar' - This is so weird, but this dish was definitely the best dish of the night and also why I gave this place a 5 star. The broccolini was incredibly tender and I love the caesar flavor profile alongside the fried anchovies which reminded me of my childhood. - Nowon Fried Chicken - Classic Korean fried chicken. I appreciate the radish to cut through the thickness and meaty-ness of the chicken. - 'Chopped Cheese' Rice Cakes - Essentially this is spaghetti and meatballs with extremely elevated flavor except the spaghetti is tteobokki. I appreciated the amount of cheese there was in this dish which 100% is what I would want in my normal pasta dishes. I really don't know how they packed this much flavor into a dish but this is definitely a great example of Nowon's flavor complexity profile. - Honey Butter Tots - Simple dishes made amazing. My boyfriend said this is the best tater tots he ever had, so interpret that how you will. - Legendary Cheeseburger - I know Nowon is very much known for their cheeseburger but I wasn't very impressed with this one, honestly I think In-n-Out's is better. I feel like the meat was a bit too overpowering, wish the kimchi taste came out fuller. - Matcha Creme Brule - Perfection! Love the sugary coat on top of the creme brule and the matcha was light and whipped, absolutely loved this dish! Overall, great restaurant would definitely come back again although it is on the pricier side of things. Not sure if I would order the set menu as it was a lot of food but I did appreciate the variety and how they are constantly changing the menu.

I have been here a handful of times now and just can't get enough of their legendary burger. It really is one of the best burgers in the city. A must order is also their honey butter tots, you won't be disappointed. I also have really enjoyed their Korean fried chicken ( spicy gochujang, of course). This food is packed with flavor, the drinks are fantastic. There's so much to love about this restaurant.I also just looked over their menu and noticed they have two affordable tasting options. WHAT!! That is incredible. I'll have to bring the dinner club out here for some good eats. The drinks are super yummy and will get you the right amount of *tipsy*. Service is great and they take reservations- score!I have absolutely no complaints with any of my dining experiences here thus far. 5/5

Great place for meeting up with friends! The restaurant is pretty small so the tables are intimately close but everyone is very mindful about keeping the noise level down. Most menu items are on the smaller, tapa like sizes so my friends and I started off with the truffle rice cakes and honey butter tots. The truffle rice cakes reminded me of a pasta dish and was actually very filling and the tator tots were crispy with a subtle hint of honey butter favor. I got the chicken wings appetizer as my entree and was very full! They give you 4 huge pieces that are perfectly crispy, juicy, and flavorful alongside little pickled radish and dill leaves. Pretty expensive in my opinion but overall, a great upscale Korean restaurant!

Amazing experience! The atmosphere is so fun, and the food was delicious and unique. We did the EP tasting menu, and our favorite dishes were the chopped cheese rice cakes, legendary burger, and the lamb skewers. The flavors were incredible in everything we ate, and the service was fantastic, too. We had a great time, and I am so happy we tried this place!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, friendly service.
Went with friends who are regulars and correctly guided us to the burgers. Dry aged burger was well-cooked, flavorful and moist. The truffle burger had a generous shaving of truffles and was also tasty, but was a close second in my mind to the dry aged. Whipped ricotta toast and chopped cheese rice cakes also highly recommended.

Had our anniversary here and the dining experience punched above where you'd expect. All the front of house staff was so nice and unbelievably quick. We had our drink orders arrive at the table almost right after we ordered and food came at the perfect pace as we were finishing dishes. Whoever was working the pass deserves a major kudos. The blueberry+basil infused soju was interesting and not sweet. The food was divine. We had the EP meal for $39/each and were plenty full at the end. The baby kale salad was delicious and had a good mix of textures. The wings were crisp (maybe too thick and bready of a coating if I had to nitpick) and well cooked. The chopped cheese rice cake was like crack. Burger was a good solid burger and the honey butter tater tots were great. We got the black sesame creme brรปlรฉe to finish and it was delicious but I'm personally not a fan of the salt flakes that they had sprinkled on top of the brรปlรฉe.
Be the first to ReplySo so amazing, not sure how I hadn't checked this place out
So so amazing, not sure how I hadn't checked this place out sooner since it's right in my neighborhood. My husband and I shared the:- truffle lemon sticky rice - YUM! Probably my favorite dish. Strong truffle flavor, very cheesy, perfect sauce- truffle burger - so goooood! We added bacon which was a great touch, thought about adding an egg but the server said it might be overpowering and I'm glad we listened. It's a double patty so definitively filling- tater tots (honey butter) - amazing, not sure what the brown was on top (looked like truffle) but was so delish. Perfectly crispy and flavorful- vegan mushroom noodles - good but my least favorite dish. We were debating between the cheesy version or the vegan (the servers said vegan was popular so we went with that but now wish we would have tried the cheese).Cocktails:- Scotch & Tres Leches - so so good. Would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Thought it would be sweet but was perfect and strong- coffee vodka & amaro - like it, the amaro added a unique flavor, but preferred the first drink. This was like an espresso martini with a twist

Delicious korean bar type food in a nice vibe, very strong showing overall!I recommend making a reservation as most of the restaurant will be filled up, even on a week night. They play energetic music, but not too loudly that you can't have a conversation. My friend and I opted for the "EP" set menu, which comes with a full portion of each listed item to share, including half a burger for each person. Every dish was pretty good to very delicious, with my favorite being the chopped cheese rice cakes. The fried chicken was notable as well.Service was prompt and our server gave good tips on a cocktail.

If you want a true korean bar experience you're better off going to ktown. The food is overpriced and salty and the drinks are lackluster.

The portions were way too small. Loved the Korean Fried Chicken though.

What a fun place! The play is fun and the energy level is high. We sat at the bar and watched the bartenders work their magic on amazing cocktails. We got the Classic Vol 1 so that we could try a lot of different things. Every course was DELICIOUS and fun. Truly one of the best meals we have had. When we finally got to the burger, I thought it would fall short. I mean, how good could a burger be compared to everything else we had just eaten??? I ate EVERY BIT E of that burger. SO GOOD!
Be the first to ReplyGiving the place 3.
5-4 stars as most dishes were good, but there were a couple of misses in during the entire experience.1.) The cucumber salad was tasty but it was entirely too salty and the crispy tofu was crazy dense. I thought maybe it could be some other weird starch.2.) The tater tots with curry were great. super crunchy and the curry stood out3.) The legendary burger is good, but it had no korean flavor at all from the kimchi mayo. The beef was crusty and flavorful but it also tasted mostly of "american" cheese. ย 4.) The kimchi fried rice was good with some crunchy rice from the hot pan it was served in. I think it could of used more kimchi for sure. Also it is weird that it is the second most expensive dish after the truffle burger especially given it's relatively small size. Also I prefer spam over mortadella, but I get it they are trying to be fancier.
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a Tuesday night, and it was poppin.
We didn't have much of a wait and got seated in 10 minutes. Every dish that we had was super good. Don't sleep on the burger or the tots.
