Carelessness by waitreas
Is this how you usually treat your paying customers? I won't be returning here. My friend & I ordered take out here today at 4pm. I requested refund. My friend is a doctor and I'm a mother. We both care for people daily & work too hard for our money to have someone of such caliber serve us. Yes we ordered takeout but by the time food came we decided to eat outside. Instead of simply saying they don't allow takeout customers to dine outside, the waitress approached us and asked us "will you be leaving anytime soon, you need to because you ordered takeout". I have never heard of such things. This place should consider hiring more like minded waitresses. The way we were spoken to by her very UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE & CARELESS. We are very displeased with service provided today. -Annie”

W.O.W! “ Wonderfully Oso Whelming!” My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this very unique, eclectic and heart warming establishment this weekend. I must admit, if you’re implementing dopamine fasting and intermittent fasting, I advise you to consider not fasting for a few hours because Oso will definitely shatter your willpower and commitment! ;-) The Mexican cuisine was “Oso stimulating and beyond delectable. Everyone from the owners to the hostess were more than hospitable. The environment was intimate and visually appealing! You are essentially embraced as family here! If Mexican street cuisine was never a regular food choice it will become after enjoying a stay at OSO! My wife and I both made the trip from Philly on a frigid afternoon and it was definitely worth the trip! “ Oso, savor the taste - savor journey!”

Very good experience, three for lunch. We had guacamole, tamales and fish and pork tacos. All very tasty. GreaTHhouhhourmargaritas
Be the first to ReplyCozy & delicious
Very attractive and cozy atmosphere with wood planked walls, high ceilings, a Mexican style mural. Modern Mexican menu. The "small plates" were filling. I loved my Watermelon Salad, and the Blue Quesadilla is very good (a little salty), excellent guacamole (chips are a bit hard). Pandora played Juanes and the Gypsy Kings, so what could be bad?:) We'll be back soon!!!
Be the first to ReplyCanadian/Mexican Dining in Harlem
My friend took me to this restaurant near 137th street subway off of the #1 train on Broadway in Harlem.
The food is just average and a bit expensive for tacos. It's allegedly owned by Alex Trebek's son. Who is a Canadian that own's a taco shop would be my first question!
I sort of enjoyed the fish tacos, tamales and a margarita made with a spicy chili salt. The lomo de cerdo (pork) in the taco pastor was a little bit dry.
The server, Chris, and the hostess (I don't remember her name), made this experience extra special.
Delicious
Tacos are awesome. As are the quesadillas. I would also recommend the chips and guacamole. This is an awesome place for dinner or just drinks and tapas. If you get a chance sit by the kitchen and watch them assemble and cook. It’s mesmerizing

2 words...POZOLE ROJO
I go here about once a week as its right by my house. The food seems to get better every time. They have decent wine list and I haven't tried any cocktails but they look bomb too. The Pozole ROJO is my favorite meal in Harlem. Its incredible and takes me to another place. Perfectly balanced. The tacos are awesome too. A beacon in the barren food scene of Harlem
Could be better
Decided to try to dine locally and came across this restaurant. We went for dinner and the restaurant was three quarters full. Not everything was bad about the experience, but it could have been better. We ordered drinks and still had not come by the time we were ready to order. They took a long time to come and were just about to ask when they arrived.
Now for the appetizers we had to ask about those, we ordered the Tamales, and it seemed that they didn't start working on those until we asked (i know because we were sitting next to the kitchen and it is see thru). Felt like the same thing happened with the main course we ordered Carne Asado tacos and the Sea Bass. Kitchen staff had to be told about the fish and it was put on after reminding them. Food was ok, but nothing to truly rave over.
Our server didn't really check in on us and truly probably could have gotten a larger bill if they did because we would have ordered more drink since we came during Happy Hour apparently (we didn't know until the bill came). We suspect that she was new, but still the place isn't that big.
May give it another shot but would have to think about it.
The best
We went for my birthday. Started with Excellent Margaritas. I highly recommend the Spicy Margarita. For Apps we had Tamales and an order Guacamole with our chips. Both delicious. We ordered a variety of tacos and the flavors were just great with the best corn tortillas I have ever had. We topped it off with the Chili Ice cream. Have no fear, the ice cream was creamy and delicious. The service was perfect. All in all, cant wait to go back.
