Great hotel - highly recommend!
This is a great hotel. Love the jazz theme! Restaurant food was terrific. 6th floor rooftop bar was fun, great vibe, great drinks, great views. The gym was clean and full of the right equipment and amenities. Starbucks is a 60 second walk. The room and bathroom were beautiful. Beds and pillows so comfortable! Fridge, coffee maker, plenty of kcups. The valet folks and front desk helped us avoid parade traffic. They sent up additional amenities as soon as we requested them. So nice during check in and check out. Everyone seemed genuinely happy there!I usually stay at high end hotels and this fits right in! Looking forward to visiting other centric Hyatts! I never write reviews but they deserved the positive feedback.

Check out Hyatt Downtown Centric. Lots to do and great if you have event at the Golden 1. Loved the breakfast and would like to come back and try out dinner. I like the location and unique decorations.
Be the first to ReplyVery clean hotel with great service.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very easy to use Valet, great service checking in, very clean rooms and comfortable to sleep. Great location as well, a lot if places to choose from. Very welcoming experience.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful modern property with an excellent service staff.
The property is very clean and modern. You are immediately greeted by friendly helpful staff. All my needs were met enthusiastically and immediately. I highly recommend this hotel. The food was also delicious.
Be the first to ReplyNIce hotel with cool design
I really enjoyed this hotel. I was greeted with a welcome drink, had a stylish room, and received excellent service. The location right downtown near Golden 1 center was super convenient too. I would gladly stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyThey can do better
Room was clean. Coffee pot was broken and no resolution was given by staff. Charged for water that was not consumed. Do not use express check-in or Check-out, you can't dispute anything that add to your bill or change on your reservation.

I had a very good time at the Hyatt Centric. Perfect location for the concert at The Golden 1 stadium. Easy check in, great staff, fast room service (bottle of champagne delivers to my room in 10 minutes. Great breakfast and service.
Be the first to ReplyGood stay, but check your bill for $5 each water bottle consumption
The hotel was nice, quiet and clean. Check your bill (after you leave) because they tacked on two $5 water bottle charges (highway robbery at that if they were actually consumed). I never had any in my room to begin with. I think it's dirty to tack on charges to inflate the bill. It has that feel. $5 for a bottle of water is insane as it is, then to charge a guy for two when he didn't use any is theft in my thoughts.
Be the first to ReplyMotion sensor lights in room are obnoxious!
My stay here was just okay, mostly because of the truly obnoxious motion sensor lights in the rooms. The rooms have a large motion sensor on the ceiling above the bed that flashes a green light (really great for when you're trying to sleep). This motion sensor can come in handy when you get up to use the bathroom at night and it turns on the foot lights for you. The motion sensor becomes obnoxious when you're sitting in your room and the sensor decides to switch off all the lights because it didn't sense enough movement. The motion sensor can become terrifying when you wake up at 3 am to the lights being on and then have concerns that someone or something as set the motion sensor off while you were sleeping! They also have a motion sensor in the gym- and it will turn off on you while you're working out- so dangerous! Your room comes with 2 Fiji water bottles that are not marked as being $5 each- but they are, so don't drink them unless you want to get charged. The soap that they give you in the room to wash your hands with is so thin and tiny- I've never had such a fragile bar of soap at a hotel before. I didn't really feel like I could get my hands clean with it. The water pressure in the shower was awful, and it took about 8 mins every night for me to get the hot water started. The thermostat in my room was impossible to control. I would think I moved the temperature in a particular direction, but it would keep changing back to random temperatures and I just gave up. And when requesting a room here- be sure to ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the dumpsters- I heard the trash get picked up around 6 am every morning and it was loud! I did enjoy the free water in the lobby area- and it is located in a very nice spot and has a good restaurant attached to it. The staff was also really nice! But the motion sensor lights need to go!

There was an error with my initial booking. I called the front staff and a refund was applied. However, was not received until 30 days after. I spoke with another member and they processed as I was on the line. Frustrated at that time. I still wanted to rebook. The manager advised he give me a discount on my stay. Unfortunately this did not happen. He just placed me in a room to where the rates were lower for that weekend. My sister and husband made last minute reservations and they had the same room rate as we did. So no discount. They also advised a complimentary drink was on the hotel. They failed to do this as well advising me and my husband that there were no additional charges. Yesterday I seen a charge from Hyatt centric for a total of $300. After I was advised the room rate would be $189. Due to this matter I will no longer recommend or stay at the Hyatt centric of Downtown.
Be the first to ReplyCute Boutique Hyatt!
I was celebrating an anniversary and decided to give this new Hyatt Centric a try (versus the Hyatt Recency). I loved the decor and boutique feel. They gave me excellent Hyatt globalist benefits, upgraded me to a higher room (without me asking) and even included a little gift inside the room for our anniversary. The staff was all super friendly.
Be the first to ReplyDirty room, poor service.
I had one night stay in this hotel for a conference and I was very appalled at the lack of cleanliness of my room. I slept most of the evening, so I didn't notice most of the concerns until the morning. Before I fell asleep I noticed fingerprint marks on the mirrors and the TV was not working. I didn't think these things were that big of a deal and didn't see any of the other concerns until this morning, otherwise I would have addressed it immediately last night. There was dirt and dust on all of the fixtures, the picture frames, the walls, and pretty much all the furniture in the room. I understand that everything is black, so that makes dirt and dust show up even more, but when you see the pictures, it looks like there wasn't even an effort to clean any of this. Additionally, both of the coasters had wet marks from having been used (I did not use them. I only drink one of the water bottles) and one of the coasters looked like it had been bent or ripped. One of the glasses was also dirty inside. I didn't mind the wet marks, but there was gunk on the side of the glass. On top of all of this, the thing that made me start taking pictures instead of just complaining was that I dropped something under the sink in the bathroom and when I went to pick it up, there was a used glass sitting under the sink. All of this makes me question whether the toilet, shower and bed sheets that I slept on were actually washed or not. Frankly, I'm very disappointed and for the money that I paid, the condition of the room was just completely unacceptable. I took my concerns to the front desk and was told that they would comp my $40 valet and the $5 Fuji water bottle that I drank; one of the front desk staff me a free breakfast, but I was already running late to my conference. I was also offered Hyatt points, but I do not stay in hotels often enough and I don't think I will ever come back here. Suffice to say I don't think comping me $45 is enough considering the state of the room. I paid several hundred dollars to stay in this "luxury" hotel for one single night and I did not receive luxury service. I was asked to email them the pictures and my list of concerns. I did so and requested a refund. They responded by letting me know they would forward my email to all of the managers and see what they could do. I was told I would be contacted very soon. My stay was on Mar 13th and I have not yet heard back from them about how they will resolve this.

The room was dirty. The room had markings on the walls and very dirty for a room of Hyatt standards. The Fridge was not work. The A/C was not working. Several calls and pictures were taken of the room. The room was not cleaned by maid service.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly Staff, Cool vibe, Superb food
Loved our one night stay at the Hyatt Centric for our group. Kelsie Gaitan was fantastic to work with. Next time I will get a room where I can play a vinyl. I had dinner and breakfast! Delish. Valet was fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location and service, beautiful property
I experienced fantastic service and the hotel itself is immaculate. It's a got an upscale jazz/music theme to it that is evident even in the small touches like volume dials on the mirrors. The rooms are beautiful are the restaurant and lobby. From the outside it's unassuming, but inside-wow! Great place to stay if you want to be near the arena or DoCo or walking distance to the capitol.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel!
This is my first visit to Sacramento. The location was very convenient (walking distance to coffee, restaurants, and the capitol), the room was lovely, bed was perfection, and staff was very friendly and accommodating!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful visit
I never leave reviews, but I was blown away at how great our stay was. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful. The hotel bar and restaurant had excellent food and service. We were extremely satisfied with our stay. We will be returning annually for our business trips!
Be the first to ReplyCheer at the Golden 1 Center
My daughter had to cheer for her high school team because they made it to the championship so we decided to stay at the Hyatt since itโs close by. The room was not ready and we arrived after 3:45 and the couches in the lobby smell really bad like urine. The bathrooms are bad too and they are universal so it made it uncomfortable for my daughter who is a teenager. As of right now I would not recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyNot luxury
This place is billed as a luxury hotel, but itโs not. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are small and the walls in our room were dirty. The attached restaurant was nothing special. The food certainly didnโt match the price. The one thing I did like was itโs location near the Golden 1 Center.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday trip
Was a quick trip to through sac for my 21st birthday. Drove 6+ hours and room was not ready until about an hour after our check in time (3:00). Service was nice and room was clean except for bathroom floor and marks by the bed wall which was a little bothersome. Overall it was an alright experience at the centric. Definitely recommend The Exchange Hotel instead.
