4/5 stars because of the NO BAG POLICY what an absolute
4/5 stars because of the NO BAG POLICY what an absolute pain in the butt. So now I have to wear an outfit with large and deep pockets. How else am I going to bring in my lip gloss, money, and phone? We've only been here for Kings basketball games. Parking in the parking structure across the street is convenient enough. You can eat or get a Jamba Juice or Ice Cream before going into the arena or you can wait until you get into the arena and eat. There are alot of choices!

I've been here a few times for concerts but I hadn't had the pleasure to see a basketball game here until recently. My husband and I are Golden State fans, but I support the Kings as well as I was born and raised in Sacramento. My husband surprised me with a Kings Game on Sunday and I didn't even know until morning of, so it was quite the adventure. I hadn't been to Golden 1 in the day time other than to see a monster truck show some years ago, but it really is a great arena. The kings fans are amazing. The whole atmosphere was great. I always enjoy having dinner at Yard House and then the short walk to the arena. Security has always been super nice and the sound is great. I'm excited for the concerts I've booked this summer already and looking forward to graduation from CSUS.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to Golden 1 for all types of events - basketball
I've been to Golden 1 for all types of events - basketball games, concerts, Disney on Ice, etc. and I usually always enjoy my time here. The arena is very modern and up to date with lots of places to eat and check out. We love getting to the arena early and walking around before the show starts. There's not a bad seat in the house, but with that being said - I hate sitting in their nosebleeds sections. I think the stairs are too steep and there are no cup holders! Like what....? I saw Pink here recently and the opening act was very hard to enjoy because of sound - it was very loud, could not make out a lot of what they were singing. I don't think Golden 1 is great for certain types of music - sounds much better outside when the sounds aren't bouncing off the walls. Disney on Ice is okay here too as long as you don't sit in the black chairs on the floor - can't see over people because they aren't staggered. Sporting events are good here though - we recently went to see a Kings game (even though my family are Warriors fans) and had a great time. I love the surrounding DOCO area as well - lots of places to eat and shop at! I love the lawn area in front of the arena and just the other all vibes!

I like this place but for graduation purses are not allowed it's ridiculous there's too much limitations and it is a long line to drop off and to pick up your purse Is clear bag allowed if so what size
Be the first to ReplyNice venue located in downtown Sacramento, just steps away
Nice venue located in downtown Sacramento, just steps away from the State Capitol. Was looking forward to this visit as we had Madonna Celebration Tour tickets! Venue is in a convenient location, surrounded by restaurants and retail...a great opportunity to dine before or after a show/game. The exterior building design sorta blends in to the area (it doesn't stand out)...we actually arrived and didn't know it...maybe we were too excited?!?!?! Interior is very well-kept and modern with a nostalgic feel. Seems that they had local food options that was very popular. Staff was very friendly and welcoming...not sure if it was because of the upgraded ticket package/experience we had or if they are always this was but "shout out" to them for starting our evening off right. Enthusiasm and utmost hospitality was evident here. Was ushered to a lounge area with light eats and Madonna music playing. Mingled with other fans and had some great photo ops. Once inside the actual arena floor area, it seemed very cozy and intimate considering 17,000 concert capacity. Seating area ushers were quite professional and let us know about the amenities (bar/lounge/restroom) specifically for our area. Also witnessed a minor medical emergency that the staff handled with sensitivity and professionalism. Not sure if we'll plan to ever visit this venue again but it was a very pleasant experience and Sacto is lucky to have it!

Went through the metal detector at Madonna show and my belt went off. The stones were sawed off. They told me I couldn't get it back. Talk about the disrespect and arrogance. Never will I ever come back to this arena however you allow pot smokers in. The entire place was lit up. Double standard. I hate Golden One . Nothing but thieves. A madonna fan.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is TRASH.
First, the PA system broke and back up system is worthless. POWER OUTAGE TWICE! Second, due to power issues the second screen or primary screen is out!
Be the first to ReplyThe seating is not designed for the fans.
It is so tight that if you need to use the restroom or get a drink everyone in your row has to stand up so you can get out. And now there is a no cigarettes or lighters in your bag rule. Lame.

Great venue! Seats don't offer a bunch of leg room, but the arena makes up for it with the great sound and lights. Nice food and drink options, all fairly pricey but that's standard for sports events these days. Section 110 for PBR was a blast. Long lines for security and drinks but they move quickly. Bathrooms always available with little to no line. For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist

LOVEEEEEEE HAVING GOLDEN 1 CENTER IN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO and not it Natomas. The entrance line usually goes somewhat fast although I am super annoyed that they changed the bag policies. I enjoy coming here for Kings games, comedy shows and concerts. I like the food selection and although the drinks are expensive compared to what you actually receive, I understand that it comes with the territory. Parking is not bad at all and getting out after games goes by quickly.

Besides the price of the hot dogs and beers, this place is awesome. The kings games here are so fun whether they win or lose because of the atmosphere and all the different activities available or performances they put on. I think it's really turned around downtown Sacramento, especially this year!!!! Lite the beam!
Be the first to ReplyBrought my son to the monster jam show in January 2023.
It was my first time visiting the golden 1 arena. Parking - I was able to purchase a parking pass for the garage a block down. That was convenient and a short walk to the arena. Admission - if you have a bag that's larger than a certain size You have to wait in a line with an X-ray machine to run it through. Hydro flasks are not allowed but if you have a small child they might allow you to bring their water bottle in. Outside food isn't allowed but my sons snacks made it through the x ray haha! The arena - I feel like it holds a lot of people but not designed for all the people. Does that make sense? Maybe I'm getting less patient in my old age . They need more bathrooms and food windows. The area for the monster trucks to play was very small making it difficult to perform all the tricks. It was easy to find our seats and the employees seem happy to assist if needed. Food and drink - expensive and we didn't buy any. I'm a cheap ass though too! There were a few options but not too many. Pizza? Chicken strips ? Price - holy crap. This event for 2 tickets and parking was almost $500. I thought that was crazy it really did add up after all the taxes and fees. Guess they are still paying off that fancy undersized arena. They didn't have much space to work with I think they did the best they can. My son had fun. Part way through the show they had dirt bikes and that was cool too. Hoping to bring my husband next time

I came here for a Kings game and I was impressed with their security precautions. Everyone has to go through a metal detector, no bags allowed policy, and they had tons of staff working to keep lines moving a quickly. We weren't aware of then I bag rule so my man had to go put his bag in a check bag area. Usually this would be wack but it was FREE and super organized. The stadium itself was super chill, very open, and you can basically see the game from any seat. I'm knocking it a star because 2 double margs were $60 and they weren't good. I food and drinks are just overpriced at games so not a dealbreaker.

This place is so much better than the old acro arena. I'm amazed it is only three stars.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly i've had issues with this event center since it
Honestly i've had issues with this event center since it opened. Last night i took my 7 yr old child to see disney on ice and had my LV bag with me, (8inch by 7inch) completely empty besides tampons, wallet, my keys & my sons glasses. upon security there was a young woman with long single braids who asked me if this was a parenting bag. i asked her "what?"she said for kids "is it a parenting bag." i said "it has stuff for my son?" she said "like diapers or medication?"i looked at him, he's 7 - and capable - and said look it's already been hell with the parking is this going to be a real issue as i was watching other women walk in fine with their huge purses. she turned to a asian boy with braces and asked "sean are you gonna let her in or not" boom right there. you just proved you're picking and choosing. the sean kid rolled his eyes and then asked me what is in my parenting bag. my boyfriend behind me chimed in "diapers and medication". the guy then proceeded to ask me to pull out my child's medication. what's messed up is i took mine and my kids medication out, left them in the car, as before i've had issues getting into venues WITH MEDICATION SPECIFICALLY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE MEDICATION! when i told "sean" this, he said no i can't bring my bag in as glasses aren't medication. my boyfriend then had to run 4 blocks back to the parking garage (he's got a metal rod in his leg which made it more fun) while i sat there and watched this girl & sean then let in MULTIPLE woman with PURSES - not parenting bags - in, in front of my face. i would even approach them and be like "what about that girl?" and they would just shrug. not only were we 15 minutes late to the show because of this it's just appalling. at this point the picking and choosing becomes discrimination. some poor soul saw me upset and showed me to their supervisor TYLER - who 10/10 i would recommend. someone give this man a raise. he listened to me vent, apologized. told me he knew it happened instead of gaslighting me, and offered condolences. THANK YOU TYLER YOU'RE A SAINT. i doubt i'll ever attend a show at golden1 again. by the way - the people checking the bags need to shower. smells like shit.

We walked up and we had bought wands from Amazon to bring in for Disney on ice because we didn't want spend an arm and a leg for 3 wands from Disney. Security told us that we couldn't bring them in because it's not a Disney product. They let us bring in our knock of Amazon ears with no problem???? That doesn't make sense at all. So we were going to throw them away but security didn't let us, they threw them under the table. HOWEVER Disney encourages you to bring your own items. Besides that Disney on ice was amazing

While attending Disney on Ice we were in section roast 116 Row you directly beneath the disabled seating since it was empty me being disabled I went to customer relations to ask them if I could sit there they told me they had no seats available there and the only one they had was in row 109 there was nobody sitting in the disabled 116 section it just blows my mind away how inconsiderate and socially irresponsible they are I will never go to Golden 1 again . That don't even include on the way there the cop said all the traffic directed back on the highway I-5

My sisters wanted to go to their first NBA game. Proud big brother moment. I am a huge Thunder Fan and love seeing them play. This is my second time at Golden 1 center. It is a beautiful stadium! The most important things :1) The seats are very comfortable, which is awesome since an NBA game is a few hours long. The seats are set up in a way so you can actually see the court , rather than the head of the person in front of you. 2) The food is not complete garbage. It is still stadium food, but it's all grown up and is a little boujee. There are plenty of offerings both inside the stadium as well as restaurants on the outside. You could actually eat at the game and not feel extremely sad about what you ate, or have to prowl the area for something more filling after the game. 3) The fans are great. They really get into the game which is what you want to see. They also are respectful, even if you are rooting for the away team very loudly like I was. OKC ! OKC! OKC!
Be the first to ReplyI love the new atmosphere that the GoldenOne center gives
I love the new atmosphere that the GoldenOne center gives and there's plenty of parking structures around the arena. The open concept of the arena makes it look so much bigger and although there are tv screens everywhere, I still enjoy being able to look down onto the court to watch the basketball even when I'm outside ordering food. It is super easy to find my seats and there are plenty of restrooms. Also, I forgot to mention that the seats are much more spacious when compared to other arenas. I don't have to worry about knocking over someone's beer or intruding in on their space.
