Everything you need in a Korean barbecue place
Park's BBQ is everything you’re thinking of in a Korean barbecue. Lots of meet, sides to kill for, and a cool social way to share a meal with your friends. You could probably find more authentic Korean barbecue places though, but who needs it. And; Park’s has lots of Korean celebrities on their wall, which gotta count for something.

Still a great spot to have high quality meats. Ordered the combo to split with a friend for dinner and it was a good amount of food (especially when combined with the banchan). My favorite cuts were the short rib and the bulgogi. They’ll cook the meat for you and will tell you when it’s ready to eat. There’s rice paper included but if you want rice, that will be extra. We tried black raspberry wine, which was sweet and a light alcoholic option. Valet parking is causal or in the front or you can try your luck with street parking.

Overrated, underwhelming, overpriced ordinary K-bbq place. The only upside was friendly staff. We will probably go somewhere else next time.

My husband and I are in love with Korean style barbecue and whenever we travel we always try to eat at the Korean restaurants. This was one of the best one we have ever been.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal in LA
One of the best meals in LA. Amazing service and superb quality meat. Be sure to book ahead. We ordered the “P1” combo for 2 peoples which was plenty. It also comes with 5/6 side dishes including Kimchi, potato, rice cakes and other veg.

To suggest Los Angeles as America’s Korean BBQ capital is easy, the sheer abundance in Koreatown outpacing most major cities, and while there is some debate regarding “the best” nearly all such discussions include Park’s in the conversation.
Now part of Vermont Avenue since 2003, Chef Jenee Kim’s decision to name the Restaurant after a popular spot in Seoul paying off with Koreans inhabiting LA before catching fire with the city’s diverse population, Park’s eschews “AYCE” in favor of high-quality Produce and Proteins.
Considered pricey by many, $3 to park one’s own car greeting diners in a steady rain, it was prior to 5:00pm that walk-ins were available, a quick vaccination check and squirt of sanitizer all that stood between the door and a grill-top table.
Providing menus by QR Code, the list potentially overwhelming for first-timers given its breadth, it was only after having selected far too much Food for three that a “two meat” requirement was suggested, Stone-pot Rice nixed in favor of more Beef while the server took it upon himself to also add $12 Glass Noodles.
Quiet in comparison to other trendy Los Angeles eateries, though noisier as capacity filled, Banchan arrived in ten-styles just prior to a young man placing thinly-sliced Bulgogi over fire, both Tofu and Kimchi standing out with Macaroni Salad and Cucumbers pleasantly quelching their heat.
Undoubtedly using quality sourcing, the Rib Eye appropriately marbled but free of connective tissue, it was with these slices pushed to the side that marinated Short Rib took center stage, Parks Gal-Bi truly remarkable in terms of taste and texture while similar cuts cooked slow in Soup broke down almost without mastication.
Less impressed by the Seafood Pancake, its Mussels, Shrimp and Squid lost to Cabbage and the base overcooked, perhaps it was for the best that Jap Chae was served because even though a lot went to waste the steaming hot plate was bright with spices and thankfully quite light.
Great evening at Park's.
I attended a dinner with a large party, which Park's accommodated with no problems. We were upstairs. The staff was extremely patient and attentive, making sure we all had what we needed and providing help in cooking the meat we ordered. Each dish was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the japchae and steamed egg. Very tasty all around.

High quality Korean BBQ spot where you order by the plate. I’ve been wanting to come here ever since I read about how Anthony Bourdain visited this spot, and came here in a group of 9 for a friend’s birthday on a Friday night. We made a reservation beforehand, and they seated us once the majority of the group arrived. Limited valet parking or street parking. Credit cards accepted. Stalled restrooms are available in the front.
We ordered various meats, including bulgogi, brisket, pork belly, and short rib. They have combos available, but those apparently are meant for two people. The banchan they provided were similarly high quality and I really enjoyed the spicy fish cakes. We got the cold sweet potato noodles which they’re apparently known for; I wasn’t the biggest fan, but I could see how it could be refreshing about sitting in front of grilling meats. The kimchi pancake was a crowd pleaser and was super crispy. The soju and beer were ordered were really smooth and complemented the meal. You have to ask for rice paper if you want any. The restaurant was busy but the service was nice given the circumstances.
Experiential
This well known Korean BBQ is a must when in LA. The food is amazing and everything is well prepared, tasty and authentic. The decor is not that great though the outdoor dinning area was nice but don’t come for the ambiance go for the food. We loved the spices and overall the dinner was special and experiential.

Park's is a great Korean BBQ restaruant. Due to Covid there is only outdoor seating at the moment, but it is wonderful. You can also order to deliver or pick up. If you get a chance eat there, it is much more fun.
The staff is ever so kind and they will help you with the menu. The decor is lovely. All of the food is great. You just can't go wrong here. Have the best time and be safe.
Best korean BBQ in LA
When visiting los Angeles we were very keen to have some korean bbq. This place came up on many sites as the most recommended place to have korean bbq. It surely did live up to its reputation. It's not the nicest, most modern decor and slightly more pricey than other kbbq places, but we had a wonderful time and the meat and side dishes were fantastic! Don't forget to order the egg dish as well.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food, a bit pricey and a little rushed
First of all, the food was amazing and that was the defining part of our experience here. The staff was polite, yet seemed very rushed and seemed to rush us in return. They did not seem to interested in explaining anything about the dishes we ordered. We were under the constant impression that we should eat, pay and leave as quick as possible, so the next guests could have the table. We spent around 100$ for two people without drinks and left culinarily satisfied.

My brother picked this place with almost no research but it turned out well! We were visiting from Houston and unsure of what to anticipate.
Parking - Possible but might take some time. If possible ride share there. We found a spot inside the shopping center but someone, don’t know who or what authority he has, informed us we couldn’t park there. We luckily found a spot on the street.
Ambiance - Modern, black and stylish. When you walk in there is a wall of celebrity photos on the right.
Staff - busy but fast with service and will answer your questions. They aren’t the type who will ask “Have you been here before?” Or day “This is how it works.”
Food - Very good!
When we walked up, our Tex-Mex selves looked out of place but no one blinked an eye at us and no one ever made us feel as if we didn’t belong.
When we first sat down we were overwhelmed with the menu. We still have no idea what 99% of the menu offered. The prices seemed to be around $50 per meal BUT we don’t know if that’s true or not. We don’t know if that was for two people or what exactly. Somehow my husband found a Taste of Parks item and one of the staff confirmed it would be enough for the three of us. It was about $110.00. It was more than we expected to spend but we were already there so YOLO! At least a dozen small bowls of food came. Then someone started cooking the meat for us right there on the grill at our table. We had no idea what the rules were IF they were any so I asked if we could eat from the bowls now or if we were supposed to wait. We were told the choice was ours. We had all beef and it was so yummy! We had no idea what was inside most of the bowls but everything was good. My husband and brother loved the salad! We were definitely under the impression we’re were done but then another round of even more delicious beef came!!!
I would definitely go again and it is a good experience if you aren’t familiar with Korean bbq. I would do a lot more research to help with ordering though.
very good food with friendly staff
the food here is excellent and really fresh. the staff is friendly and helpful and the portions were very generous. we did traditional BBQ and decided to order dumplings and noodles as well. however, it ended up being way too much food for us. the portions of BBQ were generous and there were plenty of side dishes to compliment it. it is pretty pricey, but a good place for large groups. i would definitely visit again.
