Neighborhood , low key place
Asian specialties with a large choice of items. I always try to pick something new along with my standards. Good service , nice family crowd.

We visited here on our first night straight after a 10 hour flight. We went out with no where in mind and happened across Pearl Dragon. It had cool vibes and pleasant mood lighting and the aromas were enough to lure us in. We didnโt book and even though arriving at 1900 they still were able to seat us without any trouble. The staff with quick with our order and quick with our bill at the end which we loved. I had the chicken teriyaki with green beans and my wife had crispy chilli beef with peppers. Both dishes were lovely and full of flavour. Would highly recommend to a young couple looking for a nice meal, at the mid range prices.

This is like our home away from home and the food is exquisite and the people are wonderful. The Sashimi is memorable and compares with the best in the entire city.
Be the first to ReplyPear Dragon has the best Spicy
Pear Dragon has the best Spicy tuna on crispy rice cakes that I have ever had. They have the best spicy edamame I have ever had hands down. They have a great selection of sushi and dishes. I love their egg rolls. I basically go there and gorge out on spicy tuna rice cakes, spring rolls and edamame but they do have really great other dishes. Friendly good service and before covid I loved sitting at the sushi bar. Great fresh fish. Sadly they do not have an outdoor patio so during covid they are only doing to-go. Thank you for the best spicy edamame and spicy tuna rice cakes I've ever had. Second best rice cakes I have ever had is at "Wabi on Rose" in Venice and "Red Ginger" in Woodland Hills. I'm a huge fan of Spicy tuna rice cakes and always looking to find the best! Don't skip on the rice cakes or the spicy edamame you won't be sorry!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Sushi and Asian Fusion dishes, good service
We have seen this restaurant driving by on Sunset Blvd for a long time and decided to go for dinner celebrating our 20 yr wedding anniversary this week. The sushi we ate were all amazing, the fish literally melting on my tongue. The spring rolls were perfectly cooked, crispy and tasty. The staff and service were prompt and polite/attentive. While there I was watching how many people came in to pick up their orders to go. Quite a few. For a restaurant where it can be hard to find parking this impressed me. Will definitely dine here again! Highly recommended.

Loved our dinner. Cod was great, salmon was succulent and my son loved his dragon roll and went back for another unagi roll. Very fresh and wonderful service.

I eat here a lot. They have lots of small plates as well as sushi. They have very tasty rolls and good main courses. They have a good bar and don't stint on the liquor. It is a very popular place and lots of families are there in the early evenings.

So coming to this local Asian bistro for sometime but recently it was a bad experience. The portions were much smaller and the once crispy light hit spring rolls were not only served cold (twice) but they were fried in some kind of tempura batter that was thick and stodgy. Chicken was like warm, rice was cold, tuna was ok but not much flavor. Such a disappointing experience. Donโt know if chef changes happened but overall the food wasnโt good and the service was poor. When they finally gave you your order, it was then felt very rushed!

This popular neighborhood spot in the Palisades is always bustling, but there usually isn't a wait. The sushi is creative, fresh and delicious. There's also a wide variety of other Asian fusion dishes...something for everyone. The atmosphere is hip and Upscale. Superb service too!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Creative Sushi & Japanese
Pearl Dragon is very popular with locals like us, and is definitely the best Asian restaurant in the area. They have a very extensive menu featuring sushi and other Asian fusion dishes. The sushi definitely highlights the chef's creativity, and the daily specials are typically our choices. The restaurant team is very professional and helpful. We also get takeout regularly.

The restaurant looks great but that's it.
Food is ok but for that price you could expect at least something tasty.
Service was poor... the only good thing was about there cocktails, really tasty but expensive!
Interesting Asian Fusion
The food here was better than I expected but the service was unusually slow, especially when we arrived for dinner at 5:30 p.m. It's quite dark inside and the tables are close together. The cuisine is mostly Japanese: sushi, sashimi, udon, soba. It also has some Thai additions like papaya salad and chicken lettuce wraps. The kitchen was able to accommodate my gluten free needs and desire to have milder spicing of the papaya salad. I'd give them another chance because the food was so good and see if they can improve their painfully slow service.
