Pizzeria Bianco Scottsdale Reviews from The Last Year
All Pizza Should Be This Good.
Because of the accolades bestowed on Pizzeria Bianco, I would be remiss not joining the pilgrims to this joint. Chris Bianco, master of the pies, blazes 6 categories of these circles in his wood fired oven. I fell for the Rosa, a white pie crowned with pistachios, red onions, Parmigiano Reggiano and probably some other magical ingredients. This is what you want for your last meal.................. all pizza should be this good.
After 2 hours waiting, bad surprise
Disappointed. Ordered 3 pizzas, 2 came over cooked and very charred at the bottom, could not finished one, send back the second. The manager was very kind to refund both, but that does not fix the issue. I knew they were supposed to be a little charred because of the wood fire oven, but these were barely edible, of course dry and the char overcame the dough taste. The third one was balanced and it was good, but I cannot accept that the best pizzeria in US has 2 out of 3 wrong. Also the manager admitted that they do not always check the bottom…really???
meh...
With all the hype, I was excited, maybe too excited. This just did not meet the mark for amazing pizza. It was okay pizza, over priced for sure. I tried two, the white and the pistachio. The fresh mozzarella was delicious, but the rest of it was mediocre. Many places are better.
Ok
Pizza was good. I had to wait over2hours to get in and get the pizza . there is a bar next-door you can wait in and take any unfinished alcohol over to the pizza parlor. But you cannot take pizza into the bar.
As seen on Netflix, I had to pay a visit to Pizzeria Bianco
As seen on Netflix, I had to pay a visit to Pizzeria Bianco while in town. Luckily we were able to snag a table pretty easily while here and had such a great experience. I came here with a foodie colleague and while I'm pretty easy to please, my friend is a bit harder to impress. Well, we both leave here super happy, and we even saw Chris Bianco himself while dining here! We were too shy to say hi but it was still such a cool addition to our time. The pizzas were divine and you could see them as they baked in the brick oven on site. A pretty intimate setting, this spot is great for lunch and dinner alike. There's a good amount of seating and it gets pretty cozy inside. We ordered the Margherita and the Rosa with the Rosa being a personal favorite. We also got a salad, which was super fresh, and I got to try orange wine for the first time! If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely be back for even just the Rosa pizza alone!
Rarely does a place live up to its hype, but this did.
Wait was an hour on the nose. The pizzas were great, but the crust and sauce stood out. The crust had just the right amount of carbon char that I love. The sauce was sweet. Mariana was great, and the sopprsaseta on the Sonny Boy was perfect. The Rosa was a revelation, flavors I've never had and I can't stop thinking about. I would come back for sure.
Finally got to try the world famous Pizzeria Bianco.
I was going to see Springsteen that night so I got there at what I thought was early 4:15pm on a Tuesday. He said it would be about an hour wait and it was. While waiting I talked to a lady who said she's been trying to eat here for four years. I did check on my wait time once and he was quoting people 3.5 hours! On a Tuesday!! It does only hold 42 people. But... It was worth the wait. I got the "Sonny Boy" - tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, gaeta olives and salami. One bite in I had made the right choice! The only negative... I also had a diet coke and with tip it was $40. But I'd do it again. The best pizza I've ever tried! Note: the pizza might look a little burned on the crust, it wasn't.
This is a solid pizza joint.
I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I've ever had but it was tasty and delicious. We were in Phoenix for a work conference and felt that we had to try it so we waited an hour during a lunch break (we were quoted 1 hr and 40) versus the two plus hour waits at dinner time. Our group tried four out of the six pizza choices and each were yummy. Our favorite was the white pizza followed by the wise guy and Sonny boy. We also had the margherita. I think I personally don't like the thin middle of wood fired pizzas because it doesn't hold up the toppings but the flavor was delicious and the chew of the pizza quite nice. I would definitely recommend people try it for themselves but I can say in hindsight that I would've been okay if I hadn't had pizza here.

Went to the Town and Country location and this is really good pizza. Nearly life changing type of good. We've been there twice and have gotten the Bianco Verde pizza both times since I don't eat meat. It's different and the flavors are so rich. Service was good.
Good Neapolitan Pizza
Went on a weekday afternoon about 1:30, no waiting for indoor seating! Good service, 3 of us, we each ordered a pizza, with leftovers to take home. Nice flavorful thin crust ! Menu not very big!
Certainly lives up to the hype, worth the wait.
Pizza is amazing, probably in the Top 5 throughout the US. Chris Bianco is the nicest guy ever, watching him interact with his staff, you can see he treats everyone like family.

The pizza is really good, the service is very good, but is too pricey I will recommend this place if you don't want to go broke lol
Don't bother.
Pretentious and rude. So what if it's great pizza, the front staff act like jerks.
Destination worthy pizza.
My number 1 stop when traveling to Phoenix. It's a small space but the accompanying bar next door is great for a glass of beer, wine or cocktail while waiting.
Best pizza in the world and I've been to Italy.
If you're in phoenix, this should be your first stop. No joke, greatest pizza you've ever had! We go every week as an end of rue week celebration.

We arrived 1/2 hour before they opened on a weekday and were second in line. Were waited on right away after we were seated. We started with spiedini which was delicious! And then for the main attractions - pizza! We tried Margherita, Biancoverde, and Wiseguy. All were great! Not the best pizza we've ever had especially for the price but did not disappoint.
The sauce made the pizza outstanding, ingredients are so
The sauce made the pizza outstanding, ingredients are so fresh and it comes out in the flavor. I would definitely return when in phoenix.
Slice of Heaven
I saw this place on Netflix, so I knew I had to visit! In reading reviews, there were two common themes that I can attest to. First, go for lunch. Even when they opened at 11am , there was about an hour wait. That wait only got longer as time went on. So, the earlier the better. Two, the food was AMAZING! I had the wise guy pizza and loved it. Even took another pie to go! Great and friendly service. Definitely a highlight of my visit to Phoenix!
Wow…unique and wonderful
The variety of pizzas were unique and delicious! The bread was amazing. The salads were very fresh. A really unique experience. TIP: get there when they open for a short wait.
Not worth it’s reputation
Not worth the wait or the hype. The reputation is manufactured. There is no reason they can’t be more efficient and move customers in and out in a reasonable manner. The pizza is mediocre at best. The margherita pie was runny, soggy and bland. The signature Rosa was bitter, tasted only of parmasean cheese and was dry. The wiseguy pie was ok but nothing you couldn’t get at a hole in the wall NYC place. All had burned crusts. Totally not worth it and wouldn’t go back.
Service good pizza bad
We arrived just as the town and country opened. I liked the ambiance of the place quite nice. Service was excellent we were seated quickly and had our pizza in no time. My rating comes completely from the quality of the pizza. Both pizzas we ordered were burnt black on the bottom yet the middle parts were soggy and limp. Ingredients were apparently thrown on after the cheese and dough were cooked so they never incorporated into the pie. The crust was quite tasteless but chewy which I like. Overall it was not a good pizza even though these guys are hyped as having amazing pizzas.
Sorely lacking in every way
Best Pizza in America …Not! A destination that rests on its laurels. Two decades ago … Maybe?? But now with the proliferation of Neopolitan greatness across the country. Forget about it! Two stars only…for zesty tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. Incredibly slow service and a staff that couldn’t be bothered …35 minutes to bake a pie with less than 20 clients in the house? A dough that tastes like burned pita bread. At such a high price point too. Overrated… Well? Perhaps not …reviews seem to be slipping into the dreaded 3 zone!
If pizza is just pizza to you, don’t go here. If you can appreciate locally sourced, artisan pizza, you’ll be thrilled!
The pizza at Pizzeria Bianco is really outstanding, especially if you can appreciate the taste of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, wood fired ovens and details like drizzling olive oil on the pizza when it comes out. If you can’t appreciate or are able to rationalize the cost of the above, this will be an awful experience for you. If you can, you’ll realize how good the pizza.
Doesn't live up to they hype
Is it good pizza? Yes. Is it worth a two hour wait? Maybe Is it the best pizza I have ever had? Absolutely not. Is it worth the price? Nope I went here with a few friends as we had heard it was rated as the best pizza place in the US. There was a two hour wait (on a Monday night) but they have a bar beside it with nice tables outside so the wait was comfortable. The pizzas are pretty small, we each ate a whole pizza. We each ordered a different pizza and shared around the table. They were certainly good, but not worth what we paid for them. I can think of two pizza places I enjoyed more just in the past few months (Wyo Dough in Cody, WY and nearly any Chicago Pizza). The pizzas come out quick, which was nice, but the crust was overcooked for my taste.
Worth A Visit
We visited the Heritage Hills location. We were seated within about 10 minutes of our arrival. We visited the liquor house next door and the Old Fashion was one of the best we have had. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and added the grilled onion and prosciutto . The salad was also tasty. We shared the salad and one pizza and it was plenty. They provided complimentary bread and olive oil when we sat down. The food was very very good. The seating is very limited so hence the long waits. They only take one order during your visit so make sure and order appropriately for your party. I enjoyed the visit very much. I did feel like the staff was very stressed shuffling customers in and out.
Over-hyped, Over-priced, Low Service
It was underwhelming. Maybe my expectations were too high for small, thin crust $26 pizza. Waited 90 minutes to get in, then the waitress gave us a bunch of rules, like they'll only take one order, nothing can be added, and other things I didn't really listen to. Just seemed "rulesy." They didn't give us a single reason to return.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
Newbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
