We did the full tasting menu experience and it was delicious! I'm currently pregnant and the chef graciously made a variety of adjustments to accommodate on my dishes. In addition to the calm ambiance, beautiful dish presentations and overall experience we really valued the over and above kindness from Manny. What a star he is! Highly recommend this restaurant.

(Chris Helmsworth voiceover) The vibe is très chic restaurant in Saratoga! Love the valet service. Flowers warmly greeted me. The soirée was underway! Jonathan presented me with the most amazing Pinot. Sooo smooth. Bereft of tannins. The perfect libation for such a gathering. The medley of gourmet vegetables was exquisite. Love the carrots. Perfect arrangement. The tenderloin entrée was superb. Beautiful presentation. Perfectly done. The mandarin mousse dessert was gorgeous and flavorful. Wow! The dinner conversation was lively and lovely in this beautiful setting...of course, we were at The Plumed Horse and I was at the party. Thank you for a splendid evening of fine dining and exhilarating conversation. Would order everything again. Thanks, Flowers & Jonathan! Will be sure to try the soufflé next time, young lady Woohoo!
Be the first to ReplyFood was ok.
We left with a bill of over 1,000 for 2 tasting menu dinners with wine pairings. Then after dessert they asked if we wanted to meet the chef. We were thrilled. The. Once we got to the kitchen, the two chefs looked at us with sarcastic looks on their faces. We said hi and they did not even respond, they just kept on doing what they were doing and gave us a glare and walked away. The food was amazing but not for that price. I wish the chefs didn't ruin the night for us on Valentine's Day.

The only delicious thing of the night was the water they charge you $9 for. It's mind boggling how this place has one Michelin star when the food looks and tastes like lunchables.

The Valet parking guy, a white guy with brown curly hair, was super rude. He simply ignored our inquiries and we had to get off the car to talk to him. He later refused to serve us. It was raining and we all got wet. The food was okay but doesn't deserve the price. The Sacramento fish slice reminded me of lunch meat. The atmosphere felt like a pub, not a Michelin standard restaurant- waiters walking around all the time and I could feel the floor shaking.

anniversary dinner !! this was the boujee-est dining experience i've ever had. the service was especially top-notch (other than one of the servers who kept making weird comments about money. they also really try to sell u lol) and we even coat checked our leftover bread while we ate the rest of our courses LOL. the dishes were unique and delicious, and i loved the variety of flavors and ingredients - truly demonstrated the "new american" cuisine. definitely deserving of its michelin star! tasting menu: - halibut crudo, nori crisp + smoked salmon eclair + beef tartare "briquette" + cheese & crackers - chilled monterey abalone w/ grapefruit, Brokaw avocado, Fennel - black pepper & parmesan soufflé w/ uni & blue crab fondue - matsutake velouté w/ crispy sweetbreads, pine nut pureé, puffed rice - california squab w/ celery root girella, brown-butter apple, horseradish soubise - flannery prime beef striploin w/ parsley root, braised short rib ragout, sauce bordelaise - winter citrus chiffon cake, black tea, chantilly cream - warm autumn brioche w/ pepita praline, cardamom, pumpkin - drinks: 2014 henriet bezin premier cru brut, 2019 flanagan cabernet, bennet valley
Be the first to ReplyGood food, great service.
Would have been 5 star if the dishes were not that expensive.
Be the first to ReplyService was impeccable.
The soufflé appetizer was excellent and not surprisingly their signature dish. The rest of the meal (raviolo, duck, sirloin, side dishes, desserts) was tasty but less inspired. I can get a much more tender $75 steak elsewhere. Overall, a nice meal but I'd probably only bring others back for the service and soufflés
Be the first to ReplyI'm a local with humble tastes and a slim wallet.
The meal was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent, and I'm so glad that I got a chance to experience the restaurant. The restaurant is surprisingly large, and there is plenty of space between tables to feel comfortable.
Be the first to ReplyRip off.
Spent $1200 for two without knowing how much it costed initially. There's no price label on the menu. Food is average. Not recommend

The whole evening was a beautiful experience; from the lighting to the chairs and silverware selection. The tasting menu selection was a perfect story; really a seamless transition from course to course. Everyone there was so kind and you can tell they really care about what they do. Jonathan, Alanna, Ubaldo, Jeffrey, Chris & Emilio were all so great (Sorry if I missed anyone). Jonathan was always available whether another drink was needed or I had a question on how best to enjoy a specific dish. He had all the answers. Alanna was on point. She was so fluid with delivery and details of the courses she brought out. Very impressed. You can tell that she knows what's she's doing and very confident while doing it. Ubaldo! You warned me about that hot dish, but nope, had to learn on my own (now we got matching band-aids). Great service and really enjoyed the evening because of you. (seriously, this place has some hot dishes)Jeffrey is a scientist of wine. The tasting menu pairing was PERFECT. I loved every glass. The wine menu really did complement the tasting menu perfectly. I can't wait until the menu changes so I can try another pairing he sets. Chris, I never met, but damn his drinks are good. Whether it was a citrus monochrome alcohol free beverage or a whiskey sour, it left some good memories. I might have to come back to just drink at the bar. Emilio was on it! Also always available, always present without pressure. This restaurant, you can tell, has a good team dynamic and the team really works well off each other. Everything was so perfect and each course was never late or early. I'll be back real soon and I suggest anyone reading this review; hurry up and make a reservation. You won't be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyOne of our favorite fine dining experiences.
They have a vegetarian menu, which my wife prefers, and both menus, with the wine pairing, are exceptional. Exemplary service as well.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing dining experience.
We did the chefs tasting menu and it was probably my best dining experience ever. I would highly recommend this place for anyone on the fence. Jefferey knows his stuff when it comes to wine so be sure to ask a lot of questions as he loves explaining all the nuances of each wine perfectly paired with each course. Nothing but top notch.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I celebrated our third anniversary here.
We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner specifically for their vegetarian tasting menu. They were also open to accommodate other dietary restrictions and asked about it as soon as we were seated at our table. An incredible dining experience delivered flawlessly by the chef and his team. The service was impeccable. The 8 course dinner was absolutely delicious! We did not think we will be so full by the time we got to desserts. We were offered macaroons and chocolate after the desserts and since it was our anniversary, we were also offered complimentary champagne. We did not opt for wine pairing but definitely doing that the next time! We ordered drinks from their non-alcoholic drinks menu. I had coco-chanel (Coconut sorbet, Lime, Orgeat, Vanilla, Nutmeg, Seedlip Citrus) and my husband ordered sensory deprivation (Coconut Milk, Lime, Aperitif, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Seedlip Garden). If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion and do not mind splurging, Plumed horse will not disappoint.

Came here with 2 other women and overall we enjoyed our time here. We opted for the tasting menu and the wine pairing. It may have been an off night but there were some food mix ups (food preferences were not taken into account) and the service was a little off. It was disappointing given that this was one of my guest's first Michelin dining experience. The vegetarian menu was very fun and felt seasonal for the time. The wine pairings were generous and complimented the meals well. This was my first time back post-pandemic and I can say that before it was a magical experience that swept me off my feet but given there was less attention to detail this time I'm not sure I'll be returning.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here (yes it's been quite some time since I came here..). I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and service was great We got the chefs tasting menu (circa 2018)To start off, we had a smoked salmon cannoli as the amouse bouchechilled avocado soupprawn with parma ham and xo sherry vinegar hawaiian big tuna with shishitto pepper and squashseared foie grassquab breast with porcini and potato50 day aged rib eyedessert: pistachio financier and buffalo milk mozzerellablueberry mouse jewels, granola and berries my favorites would have to be the foie gras and the squab. the squab was meaty and tender, had a nice bite to it. Foie gras never disappoints me, and the amount was just enough where it was not overwhelming with the other dishes. the last two dessert dishes wowed me with their attention to detail and plating. they were gorgeousThis left me feeling stuffed, I almost couldn't finish the desserts! we were also brought the chocolate cart, and we picked a few out to take home. and of course we couldn't leave without taking a picture of their iconic wine room. They asked if we would like to see and offered to take a picture of us in there, lol so many people must ask hahah
Be the first to ReplyI tend to see myself as a regular average person.
First time here and I enjoyed the wonderful and professional staff. The coordination between the restaurant crew showed that they take their craft seriously. The food was inspirational. The way the food was presented matched the elegance of the flavor. Flavors felt balanced. Any umami, savory, sweetness of the dishes balanced each other out and their wine pairing really complimented the meal. I'm only started to understand the nuances at this level and I do have to say that it was a welcoming experience.

There is no better was to relax and feel pampered than to sit by the fire and have amazing personal cocktails and food. The food is delicious with combination of ingredients that I'd never dream of. Each time there can be something new to taste that comes from a true passion for creating food beyond goes the imagination. The service was excellent with the ability it know what you needed before you thought of it. The environment is personal, elegant yet comfortably relaxing. The atmosphere invites you to linger, we can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and well worth the price.
This place is comparable to a lot of 2 star Michelins we've tried. Each dish was really good and the service was fantastic throughout the night. Highly recommend you try this place if you're looking for a fancier dinner.

Went here for my birthday and had an amaaaaazing 8 course dinner at plumed horse. The soufflé was the most memorable, and my hubby said it was the best lamb he's ever had. Highly recommend! It is a pretty penny though. We spent over $500 with 2 drinks total.

We went here for my birthday and it was a really great experience! It only has one Michelin star but it's honestly comparable to Manresa with three stars. The food was incredibly good and we also got to take a picture in their wine display room. The tasting menu is definitely worth it and they also give you a free glass of champagne on your birthday too!
Be the first to ReplyWe selected Plumed Horse for our anniversary.
We both had the chef's tasting menu and wine pairing. Unfortunately, my partner got food poisoning to the point that she was up all night with vomit and diarrhea. She had to cancel plans for the next day. Good thing she did as the symptoms continue into the morning. Before that point, the souffle was great. The abalone, the halibut, and pekin duck were surprisingly good. I was disappointed in the 28 day dry-aged striploin. The two desserts were good. Half of the wine was good, but the other half I felt that they didn't quite go with the dishes. The service was excellent but ambiance felt a little stuffy. We've had numerous michelin star and fine dining experiences. This one, I wished I had just skipped it.
Be the first to ReplyWe came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were a bit worried because we had read several reviews that made us cautious, but we truly had an amazing experience and highly recommend. Some reviews we read that we feel were either exaggerated or the restaurant made significant changes to rectify were:1. There were some concerns about only being offered the tasting menu in the indoor dining hall - this is clearly specified as being the case on their website and was made very clear by our waiter, we had no concerns here given that we were coming to celebrate and wanted to spend on a nice dinner2. We saw some concerns about waiters pushing extra charge items - we did not feel this way at all, we felt our waiter made it very clear there were some items available for purchase and he was very fine with us ordering no additional items to the tasting menuSome things that really impressed us:1. Our waiter Robles gifted us 2 glasses of champagne for us celebrating my husband's birthday (this is valued at approximately $74). We were very impressed with this, and if we had been allowed to choose our tip amount, we would have opted for a generous option. That brings me to my second point...2. Whenever restaurants auto apply service charge, I always feel bad not putting anything in the additional tip area, but they don't even give an option to do so for the additional tip. After you get the bill, they don't even give you a pen to try to add additional tip. I thought this was a very big integrity move on their part.3. The servers are all super polite and work together to make sure you have a high class experience. When I came back from the bathroom, they got to my seat before me and pulled out my chair for me.4. We actually had a great time making fun of their music selection. Some folks in the restaurant even sang along. Rather than play some calming soothing ambient music, they were playing 80s classics. It was pretty funny, they even played YMCA, everybody was Kungfu fighting, etc. Some things from negative reviews that we did find true was:1. We were bothered by a particularly persistent gnat. It wasn't like there were tons of bugs, but we did notice the presence of one.2. They do charge by the bottle for water.3. The waits between courses is a bit longer than other Michelin star restaurants we've been to, but it didnt bother us much. Why does it matter if you have great company? All in all though, we had a really enjoyable experience and we'd definitely recommend folks coming here to celebrate their special occasions. The food was all very enjoyable (I'm a relatively picky eater, but I thought their flavor profiles were very good). The service was excellent (as we were leaving too, they asked if we wanted to take a picture in their awesome wine cellar). Come, enjoy the food, have a great time!!!
Be the first to ReplyFood is good except the steak.
Service ok. Flies/bugs flying around the dinning table is very annoying. I saw this situation in other tables too.
Be the first to ReplyWe had the tasting menu , I have to say it's a good value
We had the tasting menu , I have to say it's a good value given it's In Silicon Valley The dish impressed me the most is the soufflé and the mushroom porridge ( I took the vege one as I am allege to abalone but my friends who the abalone one loves that one ) . The fish disappointed me most is the beef and the dessert . They are not bad but not outstanding I'm impressed with the wine though, I did not do wine pairing but the wine they recommended is really good . I'm amazed they recommended a bottle just based on a few sentences The outdoor dining is lovely for a summer evening, love the street view For michelin one star in ca , this one is not bad.
