Amazing hotel
Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, very good location, I enjoyed staying there, access to the shopping mall made my stay more special, had the chance to try Ramsay’s Kitchen which was amazing, thanks to banquet team for beautiful meeting room set up and coffee breaks, I wish I had time to go back to see the Boston marathon from the hotel

We had a fabulous visit at this hotel! Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful! They thought of every detail and we were well taken care of. Loved it all! Lemon bars in the afternoon, greeted with lobster stuffed animals for the kids, even Boston themed crib sheets!

The hotel is beautiful, the location is ideal but most of all the staff is warm and welcoming. Easy walk to Newbury St, Boston Commons and Beacon Hill. Attached to the Prudential Center and next to the convention center. The hotel is first class but the staff is so warm and welcoming it does not feel stuffy at all.

From start to finish it was a wonderful stay. There were so many thoughtful touches and anticipatory, responsive service. It was lovely to return to our room at night an find everything cleaned up and put away. We loved the welcome tea! The hotel was so close and convenient to everything we planned to do. It was ideal.

This is by far my best hotel stay yet. From the valet service, to the maids checking on the room twice per day. Or the front desk saying hello everytime you walk in and asking how your day was. Or the fact that every morning there is complementary water and chocolate bed side. Fully stocked mini bar, you name it the Mandarin Oriental in Boston checked the box. All around amazing.

Great Spa. Exceptional Concierge. Polite and friendly staff. Quick Laundry Service. Wonderful rooms. Very quick and centrally located hotel. A block away from Newbury Street and Copley+Prudential Shopping Malls. Steak house Abe&Louies across the street.

The service was impeccable and sincere. The bed was comfortable and the pillows helped my neck pain! We had a great experience. The food at the restaurant was soooo good. The cleanliness of the hotel was pristine. The spa amenities were amazing. I was really able to relax and take in the ambiance. I appreciated the dim lighting and the music in the relaxation area. The vitality bath was clean, hot enough and soothing. This is a wonderful Mandarin Oriental property.

In the past year, I have stayed at numerous hotels in the Boston area. I am not sure why I try any other brand than the Mandarin. The service is truly genuine and sets them apart from anyone. I recently stayed for a few nights just to relax and recharge and the Mandarin was fabulous as usual. The comfiest beds, the best room service and spacious rooms. I was truly relaxed and ready to take life on again! Thank you !

Lausiana was so gracious as soon as we walked in. She took care of everything and made the check in process seamless. The wine and chocolates in our room were absolutely stunning and delicious. We celebrated my friend's bday and they sent up chocolate cake and coffee for us as we got ready for dinner. Also can we talk about the beds and sheets. So silky and soft. I can't wait to go back.

From the moment we checked in for 2 nights until we checked out, our stay at the Mandarin Oriental was everything we could have wanted and more. Luxury accommodations, peace & quiet, delicious food, friendly & helpful staff. Getting massages at the spa was the ultimate morning of relaxation. It was the perfect romantic weekend celebration for my husband's 40th birthday.

It's hard to put into words how exceptional this hotel is. The feature that stands out the most is the incredible service. They always recognize my Fan status and amount I've stayed there- it means a lot, some places just treat you like it's your first time and no recognition. They upgrade me always to the room type I want, no question ever. You get included breakfast as a fan. You can basically pick any benefits you want, like early/late checkout, $50 free dining credit (free dessert to room), turn down service, hot chocolate at night, coffee in morning. Can't describe how amazing this place it. Attached to prudential center, making walking around and shopping a pure please. The people are so professional, treat you courteously, remember to do everything. I think of all the Mandarin's I have stayed at-- which is many, while the room are great but kind standard, the service and people make this the best mandarin in the world. Just a happy place to be, good value, I'd never try another hotel in Boston. Great job MO Boston.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing staff and family friendly!
We had two rooms, both set up for children. They arranged everything we needed and replenished before we could think to ask. We were meeting family in Boston and the beautiful lobby has plenty of space for all of us while we wrangle up the children. All the staff were so friendly, available, and knowledgeable. My family was very happy with me for setting up this trip. Even my two year old who decided to press the "emergency phone button" in the elevator had a lovely conversation with security who complimented his favorite sweater. Overall, we decided this is our home whenever we stay in Boston.

Always a guaranteed comfortable stay when visiting this hotel. You know upon entering the lobby you will be welcomed by the aroma of seasonal flowers (finely appointed display of flower’s, candles etc) and a lobby infused with the reminiscent smell of a high end spa. Rotating goodies abound such as cool towels and beverage mid day to beignets and hot cocoa in the afternoon. Climb the stairs to the second floor and you have access to the Prudential Center shops and eateries without having to venture into any inclement weather situations. Side Note: A fun spot to have a drink within the mall is “Earls” which features a rooftop bar. However wine list is limited. Best for a cocktail in between shopping. The standard room at the Mandarin with King is plenty of room for a couple especially if spending most time out exploring the town. The standard room has good size & bathroom layout is well thought out conducive to two people sharing. One sink however. Nicely placed shelving for the ladies for doing makeup and having a nice separate space to stash toiletries. Plenty of room foe storing your clothing in closet and or drawers. There was a small fridge with beverages for a fee only thing I would like to mention that could have been better is to have the ability to put leftovers or a small space to stash things that need to be kept cold. There was no room in this beverage fridge for doing this. My room had well placed outlets by the nightstand for charging all devices (bring your chargers) and the turn down service was great! One night I found a bookmark for my book sitting on the night stand, the next night a lovely box of chocolates, and the last night a cloth for cleaning my reading glasses. Small touches that make it extra special. Sheets were comfortable, soft, good bedding. Pillows could be slightly softer. All in all a very nice stay. Would visit again when in the boston area due to the proximity to everything for walking to notable boston attraction sights.

From the moment we checked in the customer service was top notch. The concierge and front desk team was incredibly accommodating. A five star hotel that lives up to the five star rating! The team overhead my daughter talking about Mobi and before you know it he was at our room door. Everyone was so attentive to the needs of my family. In addition, they knew we were traveling for New Balance Nationals and the team members were all sure to ask about how my daughter did. Just overall a wonderful experience. Would recommend highly to everyone.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional stay in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay
An exceptional stay in the heart of Back Bay. The service was friendly and professional, our room was luxurious and well-maintained as were the common areas and gym. Looking forward to staying at the Mandarin Oriental the next time we visit Boston.

Upon arrival me and my wife entered a beautifully decorated lobby. Our check in was very smooth with the front desk agent explaining the hotel amenities and escorting us personally to the elevator. After a long day I was in need of jacuzzi and sauna just to relax. As I entered the spa area I was immediately greeted by the desk staff, all lovely smiles and great personalities. I was told that someone would be right with me as I waited in the lobby area of the spa. Within about 8 minutes or so which is fine, I was given a tour of the spa and men's area. First I started in the jacuzzi which was really hot just how I like it. Then I headed to the steam room which gave me life. Finally I went inside the relaxation room/waiting room to lay down for a little just to rest my body. Inside I found water and fruits of such with really comfortable beds, honestly I almost fell asleep lol. I thought I was calling it a night until I decided to take a amazing bubble bath in my room. Everything was so clean and believe me, my wife is picky and she notices anything undesirable. The housekeeping staff were very sweet and kind always asking if we needed anything. In the morning we headed to Ramseys kitchen and ordered half the breakfast menu because I wanted to try so much things. All our food was amazing, everything so fresh and the presentation was so clean. So I'll finish by saying this is a great hotel and I will definitely be coming back to the spa for some treatments. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay.

We booked the basic room and we were pleasantly surprised at how luxurious the space felt! The interior decor felt curated and not off the rack. The bed was comfortable; but could use a pillow top to make it feel more decadent. The bathroom was well appointed & spacious. We also enjoyed a quick trip to the spa to use the steam & relaxation rooms. The location is excellent and exactly what we needed.

Beautiful and so personalized! The champagne and orchid-adorned macarons waiting in our room were just the start. Quick valet, customized housekeeping, unrivaled location for food and shopping. The staff knew our names and made sure we had the best two days while in town for an event at Rochambeau. Will definitely be back!!

Top-notch stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptional. The front desk took care of us our entire stay, making sure we had absolutely everything we needed. If you’re coming to Boston, this is the place to stay! Can’t wait to come back. Best hotel in the city!

July '22: I was passing through the Mandarin briefly on the way to the valet (to be honest, the scent of the lobby is so fresh and delicious) and I used the restroom, where I immediately fell in love with the hand lotion offered there. When I asked the Concierge, Paul Sullivan, what the scent was, he contacted the spa and they immediately sent a deluxe sample to take home with me. Warm, witty, charismatic, and courteous, Mr. Sullivan was the consummate professional. Chatting with him was a delight, and I was so touched by his kindness. Look for him in the lobby, and know that you're speaking with someone who is going to make your experience personal, polished, and perfect! Beyond the front desk, the best kept secret of the hotel is the SHOPPING! I can't wait to come back and visit Elisha Daniels in the Elisha Daniels boutique - not only to see what she is wearing (her taste is impeccable, elegant, and chic) but to see if I can score a pair vintage Chanel shoes. There are so many treasures (both modern and timeless) in her little jewel box of a boutique! It's just around the corner from the front desk, and if you're a hotel guest, or just shopping at the Pru, stop by. A must see!
Be the first to ReplySo much potential…ultimately just OK
Overall fine stay at the hotel over a long weekend (Saturday to Tuesday), but experienced a few annoying issues that should not happen at a hotel like the Mandarin. I was traveling with my wife and infant son, and the first issue I noticed was that the entrance to the hotel is not friendly to individuals with strollers, wheelchairs, etc. The front doors do not have any electronic assist to open them from the street OR from the lobby heading out to the street, and since the doormen were not paying attention to guests entering the lobby for most of our trip (they seemed singularly focused on valet duties, even when there were no cars) it meant either I or my wife had to stop the stroller, walk up, one of us hold the first door, the other pushes the stroller inside, then stop again to let the other come past and grab the next door, open it, and then finally push everyone into the lobby. It seems like there should be someone on duty at normal times to open the door for guest, especially given the double manual door setup (when you have a baby you’re carrying a lot of extra luggage, so a hand at the door goes a long way!). Also, despite calling days in advance to ask for a crib to be set up in our room, there was no crib upon our arrival and I had to call down multiple times to get someone to bring a crib up as promised. Finally, the room service was often hit or miss: one morning my wife’s breakfast was missing the item she specifically asked for, the next morning our food was very cold, etc. I also found the glassware / utensils to be inconsistent through your stay. One night our evening tea was served in a stainless carafe with excellent presentation, the next evening it came in a small off white plastic container that looked like a water carrier at your local airport hotel conference center. One other issue was that our room did not seem to be very clean; for example, we kept finding long black hairs in the bathroom and on the carpet, and none of us have long black hair! I really wanted to like the stay more, especially given AMEX and AAA reviews of the property, but it was just OK. Will stick with the Four Seasons from now on when in Boston.

I came to Boston to visit my son for a weekend in July 2022. This was my first time at a Mandrain Oriental hotel. Everything went so smoothly! Utmost professionalism and friendliness- they sent us a pot of hot tea to my room. As well as a surprise- fruit tray! We used the fitness room 2 times- it was clean and had multiple high end machines, including Pilates. We went to the spa, had massages and used the whirlpool, the steam room, and special shower room. Tom was my masseuse- he was so kind and had wonderful hands! I highly recommend going! The hotel was perfectly located for us, vey close to the mall and shopping- and just going for walks daily! I will come again and stay at MO!

Until now, I never realized how a hotel staff can truly influence the outcome of your trip. If it was not for the staff at the hotel, our trip would not have been nearly as great. Paul Sullivan was the best concierge I have ever worked with. His recommendations were amazing. Katie at the front desk helped to ensure all of the ancillary details and accommodations were taken care of. The hotel manager Alex, was caring, responsive, and an all around class act. We absolutely loved our experience and the relationships we made at the MOB. You would be foolish not to consider this fine establishment for your next trip. Ten out of Ten!!!
Be the first to ReplyVery good location and service, outdated infrastrucure
Good location and good service but the hotel demand a renovation. For the rate that Mandarim charges the general hotel is outdated. Rooms and general space demand renovation. Breakfast menu is very limited (no buffet, just little choices) and service is slow there

Very pleasant experience. The staff is very well trained. No bad surprises. Rooms are clean. Reception is area is not charming but good enough. Only negative side is the entrance revolving door. Seems like it need to be replaced to match the overall quality of the hotel.
