The food here is average but the manager/owner believes, it's a Michelin star restaurant. It was pretty apparent in her attitude. She has the "take it or leave it," arrogance.Prices are slightly higher than average, but they can justify it because of the location, but there are other restaurants in the area that have better food and lower prices .

I had the green curry with tofu and my husband had the Singapore noodles. Both were amazing! My best curry ever was at Bohn Thai in Toronto, but this curry has now moved into the top position! Excellent food and great service!

walked in on a busy saturday evening without any reservations and were lucky to get a spot. we were seated by the entrance due to how busy it was, so the table location wasn't the best, but otherwise service was quick and great. everything on the menu is over €20-a lot more than what i'd normally pay for thai food. i got the drunken prawn and it was delicious, with great presentation, flavor, and large, juicy prawns. that being said, i think the price tag should be 10% lower
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a must if you're in Temple Bar area.
The food is very fresh and made to-order with unique flavors, the restaurant ambiance as well as the staff also was impeccable.
Be the first to ReplyThe location is great, right on St.
Andrew street in the Temple bar area. Very touristy corner restaurant. It's identified as Thai food, but it seemed more like Asian fusion. We went in around 4:30 pm, very early for dinner. The owner/hostess (I assume the older lady was the owner) wasn't accommodating. Although plenty of tables available, she refused to give us a window table. She simply said no without explanation and even told us we had to finish our dinner by 6 pm. It's the first time we've heard a time requirement for dinner in Dublin. The waitress was nice and pleasant. All waitstaff worked very hard. It was a quiet atmosphere. The food was ordinary and the prices were modest. We ordered: 3*Tom Yum soup: hot and sour soup with lots of vegetables and an overwhelming taste. 4*Coconut and Sriracha chicken wings: 6 tasty chicken wings. Very good and delicious. 3*Red Torch Ginger COMBO included two pieces each of: Chicken Satay, Pork Belly, Thai Samosas, Panko Prawns, and Pork Wontons. Nice arrangement and presentation, but the food was mostly bland and ordinary. All except satay relied heavily on the sweet and spicy sauce. The portions were generous. 3*Crisp Duck Salad - Sliced crispy duck breast mixed with peppers, onions, carrots, cherry tomatoes cucumber coriander & spring onion, and hot & sour Dressing: lots of onions, a bit too much.

Went out looking for Indian food and wound up loving this menu better. Temple Bar district has many options and this one should joint the list. Higher class setting with fair prices and good lunch/early bird specials. Menu is pretty standard except the coconut Sriracha chicken wings which I had never had before. Subtle Sriracha heat meshed with the light coconut marinade nicely. I love Thai Basil so went with the Chilli Basil Beef which was excellent and appropriately portioned with an even mix of beautiful string beans, carrots, ginger, and leaks. My three things:1) Great spot for date night, nice wine menu!2) Warm staff always approached with a smile and ready with recommendations. 3) Nice tea selection and if you like some Jasmin Tea it feels nice on a rainy day Side note clean bathrooms are a plus around here.

Very good Thai food in Dublin! Walked in today around 12:30 pm with no reservation, but got a table for two without waiting. Manager informed us that his staff does not wear masks and if that's okay... we were both wearing a mask. Our booth had plexiglass and that was fine. Started off with homemade sparkling lemonade and a hop house lager. Learned set lunch menu doesn't include beer. The calamari was quite good with the right amount of spice! The pork belly was perfectly cooked and crispy, yet flavorful. The Asian duck was good, but extra chili pepper or two would've made it even better. Great service and attentive staff

Soooo, i had the unique opportunity to combine Tai yellow curry meal with An Irish favorite pint. It was wonderful! Close to my hostel and the sights. Perfect meal to conclude my last day in Dublin. Thanks RTG!
Be the first to ReplyRed Torch Ginger is probably the best thai restaurant in
Red Torch Ginger is probably the best thai restaurant in Dublin and the quality of the food here is really good. I had the Tom Yum soup and beef salad, both of which tasted really good and the portions here are very generous. My friends loved the red curry and green curry. I liked the trendy chic atmosphere, nice decor and the extensive cocktails menu. Service was alright but could me more efficient as I found it took a while to get our drinks. Prices are steep but normal for Dublin standards. I was surprised to see that they have a separate section of the menu for vegans which was nice as not many places do that. Overall amazing good quality authentic thai food with a chic atmosphere and stylish decor.
Be the first to ReplyI've been here several times.
There are not a whole lot of Thai restaurant choices in Dublin, but this is definitely one of the better ones. I've had several dishes and they're all fairly good. Service is also nice and reasonably fast.

Tried the establishment based on reviews, expecting excellence and authentic Thai. Overall, red torch was an underwhelming experience. Food was savory, but lacked typical Thai spice and depth of flavoring. Servers were relatively disinterested and did not display a sound knowledge of the menu. In total, at best average food with at best average service at an above average price led us to be disappointed. 2.5 stars.
