Avoid unless you only care about going to the world’s oldest restaurant
Food was mediocre, wait staff could care less and never asked if younliked your food. Totally perfunctory. Waiter never engaged or cracked a smile. They hustled you in and out. In short a tourist trap living on a past reputation. Not a good value
Terrible
Save your money. The food was terrible, the waiters rude and you are crammed into small quarters. We were a party of 4 and all had the same experience. This is nothing but an expensive tourist trap. There are so many good restaurants in Madrid, this
Lucky to get in thanks to a lovely couple who gave us their table

Amazing meal! Get a reservation!
Had a great meal with friend at Botín! The meal service was not rushed and we had plenty of time to enjoy our food! The gazpacho is a must try along with the garlic shrimps and the torta de Botin.
Long history restaurant, roast suckling pig.
Long history restaurant. It claimed first open 1725. We arrived Botin 9/06/2025 Sat. around 2PM without reservation. Being told no table available. They were really busy. But waited just 10 mins. They sit us at the outside store front table on street
Eating History
Incredible history, service and food. The service thought! I was made to feel so welcome. 300 years and still going, they are doing something right!
Very nice experience with no surprises.
Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Clear and complete menu. Old school charm. Seasoned waiters with personality and charm.
Great meal experience with our family
We really enjoyed our lunch as a family of 6. We made a reservation. This restaurant makes the most of every space and works efficiently to get people to their tables and served in a timely manner. We were there for an hour and a half, but never felt
Delicious!
We had a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting at Botin. We chose the suckling pig, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The souvenir menu was a nice way to end our visit.
All the hype is well deserved
It has been a while I was at Botin and upon visiting again I ca only confirm that it was just as good as 30 years ago. All the hype is well deserved. The best suckling pig and rabbit ever!!!!
