RH Rooftop Restaurant in South Park, Charlotte is perched on the 3rd floor of Restoration Hardware, a luxury furniture store. Its design and art forward offering a unique experience that blends residential design inspiration with dining. The ambiance is calming with a center fountain spectacle. It's an upscale restaurant with typical American food offerings. It's a picturesque setting with gorgeous crystal chandeliers and grape trees. I had the arugula salad with grapes and shrimp. It was crisp and crunchy and the shrimp were served cold cocktail style. Such a beautiful space. I really enjoyed my lunch!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Place.
Celebrated out Wedding anniversary and everything was perfect for the beginning to the end. We would go back.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous restaurant.
The decor was eye catching. Between the chandeliers, the lighting, and the fountain the perfect place for photos. The food was delicious. My bf got the roasted half chicken which was so tender and moist. I got the salmon cooked medium with broccolini and potato purée. Would definitely recommend

The ambiance is amazing, food is great and service is top tier.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful atmosphere, but overpriced and limited menu.
Would love to see some more breakfast/brunch options. $16 Bellinis and mimosas?! Oof. Cool to check out once, but would not be back.

The only reason for the 2nd star is due to the beauty of the room. It is elegant. Other than that, there is little to recommend. We did have a very lively wait person but the service was really slow. The table next to us was seated 30 minutes after us but got their food before we did. Huh? The menu is ridiculous for such a great room. Mostly a few sandwiches at dinner. There are some interesting starters. We had the burrata with charred foccacia and charred marinated peppers, very good. 3 of us ordered the $22.00 burger that was barely better than a whopper at Burger King. I ordered mine medium, came well done. The cheese was skinny, not thick. Instead of one fat burger, it was 2 flat burger patties. The side was a piece of lettuce and a pale thin slice of tomato. My whipped potatoes were delicious but very salty ( I like salt and they were over salted). The portion was shareable. My friends all ordered the shaved veggie salad and it was beautiful. The restaurant is pricey but my guess is we are paying for the ambiance. The food is certainly not a value. The decaf coffee was full bodied. Two of us wanted a cocktail but they do not have that service. The wine was a standard 5 oz pour but again, pricier that most good restaurants, starting at around $16.00. We were all quite disappointed. We(4 of us, have a monthly supper outing) and normally do a dessert but this time we skipped it.

The ambiance takes your breath away when you go to the rooftop, has to be one of the most beautiful places I've been to. The chandeliers, comfortable seating... high class, evening experience. Gorgeous, one room bathrooms. This is the place you wear your nicest clothing and enjoy. I bet the outdoor space in the warmer weather is lovely. The staff was so kind, timely, and respectful. I have to really knock the food, though. Usually I am excited to see a limited menu because that has been, in my experience, when the chef gets to use their skills and bring his/her best! Not in this case. The menu is over-fancified toddler/lunch food - sorry. We went for dinner, so all the fried things for the sides were just not appealing. There wasn't even a nice soup on the menu. That's easy, no? We ordered several items each but nothing made us go "wow." I can't say anything tasted bad or was poor quality (the lobster was great quality), it just really lacked imagination; the garlic lingered in my mouth well into the next day and I was so bloated all night from the overuse of salt. Not good. The dessert options were either a cookie or ice cream. Again, more like a child put the menu together here. I had the cookie - it was just OK. It was literally just a cookie on a plate. No full bar - disappointing if you're not a wine/beer drinker, which is me. So no special drinks. When we left, we said that was a one and done for us! Too many other places in Charlotte with creative chefs with exciting/unique dishes to share. We will absolutely come back if there is a menu overhaul. The place is stunning and worth going at least once for the experience, and again, the staff is great.

The hype is there, but I'm sure you're wondering if you should believe it. Keep reading for my honest take. I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a 3:45 pm reservation with four other friends after a shopping trip at Southpark. Minus a quick snack; this was my first meal of the day. Right off the bat, I will tell you the ambiance is meh and overhyped. The skylights are gorgeous and impart so much natural light on the space. However, the furniture and faux plants in the indoor space are underwhelming at best and more reminiscent of Ikea than RH. The chandeliers are overdone and extremely gaudy, which further cheapens the space. The best part of the space is the bar area, which is true to the RH aesthetic. I wish they had captured that in the rest of the restaurant space and not cheapened it. That being said, it photographs well but doesn't feel good IRL. The service was excellent from the staff that greeted you in the store and guided you upstairs to the host and waitstaff. Everyone was phenomenal. Everyone showed great attention to detail and was committed to the customer experience. The most enormous relief was that the food was excellent. I've heard so many mixed reviews about the food and seen so much inconsistency in the photos that I held my breath. Thankfully, the food delivered. We ordered two of the shrimp cocktail appetizers for the table, which were delicious. The sauces gave a great spin to a classic. Collectively, we ordered the burger and fries, the roast chicken x 2, the arugula salad, the lobster roll and truffle fries, and the gem salad with salmon. I had the lobster roll with truffle fries, which was perfectly executed. Top-notch lobster, cooked excellently on a crispy roll that was generous in portion, didn't skimp on flavor and wasn't overly seasoned with the old bay. The portion was perfect. The truffle fries were perfectly cooked, and the aioli did not disappoint and wasn't overpowering. The portion was huge, and I didn't finish them all. I also had some of the gem salad with salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and that gem salad was flavorful and fresh. The salad dressing was executed well and was the perfect green dish to balance out the lobster roll and fries. Great experience overall. I would certainly return.
Be the first to ReplyRH rooftop has an amazing ambience within the actual
RH rooftop has an amazing ambience within the actual rooftop itself, but it falls short everywhere else. Within the realm of rooftop views in the Charlotte area, they fall short. The view of the city is nothing special, as it is nowhere near the uptown skyline. The food is nothing to write home about. The menu is very limited, the portions are small, and there is nothing that stands out about the food considering the price tag is similar to some of the best restaurants in Charlotte. It's also very disappointing that they do not serve cocktails. A rooftop bar without cocktails just doesn't seem right to me. So while the area itself is very elegant, and romantic... the rest of the restaurant doesn't match up at all.
Be the first to ReplyService is awesome.
decor is grea..... quality of the food is going down. cheese plate has just one cheese...... This is not good. espressos.... forget it, it is disgusting..... Menu is far too limite. Pricing is way too much.......
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful ambiance, delicious food.
Went to lunch on a weekday and had a reservation, but it was not needed. Quick service from waitress.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I went here for our anniversary.
We were very disappointed. We had reservations but our table was not ready when we arrived, so we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant itself was beautiful and the service was excellent. As far as the food goes, there were only six entrees of which three were sandwiches. The remaining three were nothing special, chicken, salmon or steak. All entrees were a la cart, so sides cost extra. My husband got the lobster roll which was rather bland. I've had much better from Cousins Maine Lobster truck. I had the ribeye sandwich (basically a French dip) which was good, but not what I would have liked for an upscale romantic dinner. The only dessert offered was a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. All in all we found this to be way overpriced for what was offered . We certainly will not go back.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a HUGE disappointment.
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and thought this would be some place different and special. It is a beautiful place but spending $ 100 for sandwiches that would be better from a food truck does not make up for good ambiance. Our servers we very good, no complaints there. I couldn't think of any reason to recommend this place because of highly overpriced food.

An amazing experience, such a beautiful and unique cozy vibe. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The menu was a limited offering but everything was spectacular. Loved the artichoke appetizer. A great dinner option for a special occasion- and get there early enough to enjoy the rooftop patio to watch the sun set.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my first time visiting this restaurant.
It is definitely a vibe/ambiance but I would not come here for the food only. The menu is very limited. I was actually shocked that a cheese burger was on the menu but super glad because that is what most of us ended up getting. The rest of us got the lobster sandwich-thing. We enjoyed taking photos and chatting more than eating. There are only 2 "mimosas" on the menu. The rest of the menu was full of wines. If I lived in the area I would make this a pre dinner stop on a date. Get a glass of wine, sit outside to enjoy the views, and talk. Then go else where for dinner. The server was great.
Be the first to ReplyMy fiancée and I had dinner here for a date night before
My fiancée and I had dinner here for a date night before heading to see my favorite R&B artist in concert. Simply put, I was impressed. There are a lot of restaurants with pretty ambiance and the food quality is subpar, this was not the case. I want to start with my broiled salmon. This was the sifted salmon I've ever eaten and it literally melts in your mouth. Seasoned well with a nice lemon squeeze and you're good to go! Everything is served a La carte so we ordered a Cesar salad as a starter. This is an entree size however, our waiter had them split the salad which was very nice (we didn't even need to ask). We wanted to try the broccolini but they were sold out. Good thing, we'll have to go back to try it out. My fiancée ordered the half chicken and it was good! Neither entree lacked in flavor or tenderness. The truffle fries were good however, there was an aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on. The potatoes were the perfect addition to my salmon. We were both very pleased. Excellent service. We went on a Monday, Kate afternoon so there wasn't a lot of people dinning. I have to mention the paper towels in the restroom. I know this is very minor, and probably weird to mention but I love a restroom that is fully equipped, clean, and that has good paper towels ;)RH restaurant has my stamp of approval.

It's rare to visit a restaurant that can check all the boxes so effortlessly. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I'm not sure if it was the day & time, but parking was so easy and stress free. Both the exterior and interior was beautiful. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, and our sever was really thoughtful & considerate. The food was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. To be honest I wasn't sure how good it was going to be, due to past fine dining experiences. But it was so good and of great quality. I would say the only thing we didn't really enjoy were the fries. It had an odd taste to it, but I can see how other might like it. And we were super disappointed because we wanted to order the broccolini but they were sold out. Guess we have to go back! Outside of those minor things everything was flawless. Gotta double up the stars on this one! 10/10 would recommend!

I took my mom for her birthday dinner and it was very good! The service was amazing! We both ordered the steaks with sides and everything was delicious. The interior is immaculately decorated and yet still cozy. It is a little pricey, but the portions are nice so it's worth it. 10/10 would go again!

You're paying for the decorations, that's clear bc the food is average although the prices suggest otherwise. The biggest problem I have with this place is that if I'm paying for the vibe, let me enjoy it and not have the server try to rush my family in and out of there so they can turnover the table. I think that's a fair ask for a $400+ tab.
Be the first to ReplyFinally made it back for brunch and wow.
My second visit was just as amazing as my first! I had two delicious peach Bellinis and had to stop myself from getting a third. I had crispy artichokes, lobster roll, burger with pork belly and truffle fries and my goodness everything was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, cooked and served. I'm already planning my next visit. Our servers were so nice. Very friendly, VERY friendly, and made great suggestions and recommendations. The ambience is so beautiful in the daytime, I can only imagine what it's like at night. RH is something everyone should try at least once. But I think after the first time you'll be anxious to return.

If you've been to one RH rooftop, you've been to them all! Charlotte was no different than the one on Marin County, CA and Dallas, TX. Expect higher prices and smaller plates. Food is great, but mostly you're paying for the ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyI went this morning for brunch to celebrate my birthday.
It was really pleasant and airy the downstairs design center is a fabulous way to walk off a terrific meal. Our table had lobster roll, prime rib, and old fashioned eggs bacon and sourdough toast. We drank mimosas and cappuccino. Not a crumb leftover. My only complaint is a cookie for a birthday come on and that was frankly cheap!!!!!Left a nasty taste with the atmosphere they are trying to achieve
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed our entire experience, but would probably not
We enjoyed our entire experience, but would probably not pay this much for a basic meal again. The building is gorgeous. There is an elevator to the left of the entrance inside that will take you to the rooftop restaurant. After reading some of the reviews on here, I'm guessing we lucked out with our waiter, as he was very attentive. Skip their version of "sweet" tea. Glass of unsweet tea, and small creamer of "sweetener", with no packets available. Coke comes in a small glass bottle at $5 a pop, so don't expect a refill. I do not think the RH burger is worth $22, nor the Shaved Ribeye on garlic bread worth $30, but it was delicious. Restrooms are 6 closet rooms with sink/toilet. Was able to take a few phone selfie photos on the patio, but don't show up here with professional cameras expecting to take alot of photos. Took time to walk through the showroom downstairs and take some additional photos. Was able to sit on the $20k cloud couch, which I read some people were chased off of. We enjoyed the entire experience, but not sure if we would go back.
