🤢 2/5 - I never write a bad review but I feel this is important for

I never write a bad review but I feel this is important for others to be aware when booking here. After our stay at The Royalton Park Avenue Hotel I asked for a printout of the bill. I noticed we were triple taxed on our first day. Taxed on the $100 pet fee under the name "State Room Tax #2 - 8.875% and "City Room Tax #2", taxed again on the room fee and taxed again on the $40 facility fee. Also contributed to a charity without our consent "Highgate Charitable Foundation". All seemingly crooked. I called the hotel and the manager said that's new york city and the government fees but returned the money they took for the "Highgate Charitable Foundation". It is extremely disappointing that after having a nice weekend at the hotel they would do that to their guests. Please look at your bills and request printouts. Below is a photo of the sketchy fees.
