Great vibe setting and food
Great Caribbean vibe. Delicious food and service. The best Ceasar salad I ever had. You can also get away with not busting the calorie budget by getting a taco and a salad. They also have a nice happy hour however the half price appetizers are limited as are the drinks. Wish they would expand the happy hour options but this is in no way a big issue. We love this place any time of day. Their sister restaurants are also among the best in the Hamptons.

The atmosphere here is very happy and super noisy, even when less than half full. I had to remove my hearing aids. The staff are outstanding. The bar tender clearly loves her work and has bottomless energy and smiles! No draft beer. The food varied from incredibly delicious coconut huge shrimp to overpriced disappointing salad with boring jerk chicken. I like the valet parking because their parking lot is quite tiny. For those not put off by the very loud bouncing noise off all the reflective surfaces, this restaurant offers one of the best bars and wonderful views in the Hamptons, Not cheap, but well worth returning to! The last time I was here, the food was really excellent. Being consistent is what I like to see in a restaurant and this place needs some improvement in the kitchen.

We were visiting Southampton . I wanted to find a place with a good location near the water & a fun menu . This place met both criteria . An amazing burger & fries along with a coconut martini

The food and vibe was really good. They played some really good Spanish music and the food was so good. We started with the guacamole and chips which also brought a side of cheese as well. It was delicious. For our entrees I had the Dominican ribs with sweet potato mash and my girlfriend had the jerk chicken taco with a side of sweet plantains. The ribs were so flavorful and with the right amount of bbq sauce. The sweet potato mash was outstanding, I could have eaten a whole plate of them. My girlfriend enjoyed her taco but the sweet plantains were so good. We really liked this place, definitely a gem. The service was excellent, they took care of us immediately.

This place was way better than we expected, and we did not have low expectations. Great meal, great service. We went back twice!
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience
We were a large party for brunch on Mothers Day. The service was very good and the food excellent. There was a mix up in the kitchen and one guests meal came out after the rest of the party had eaten. The manager couldn’t have been nicer. He apologized many times and then gave us a HuGE discount. We will certainly go back again!

I’ve been to Rumbas a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Great food and drinks. Luckily we went before the summer season and it wasn’t noisy or crowded. During the Summer it’s crazy busy!

This is obviously one of the most popular restaurants in the area for a reason. There's a cute little section to walk by the beach and enjoy the view as well as a bus to dine in! Regardless, the restaurant is perfect for those lazy summer beachy vibes and they have great food to boot - easily the best dinner we had during our visit. I do not suggest the curries as they have clearly superior dishes, but we had a great time drinking, eating, and talking together.

Be the first to ReplyLove Tropical Flavors, Not Quite 5-Star
Good experience but not quite 5-stars I was hoping for. Caribbean Mahi delicious- firm square of fish on bed of caramelized plantains in pool of coconut cream (that I'd kill to have recipe for) finished with avocado decoration. Tropical flavors is something my everyday life is missing & not so easy to come by in the restaurant landscape. Tried West Indies Breakfast Taco- pretty sure this is their sweet spot. Smokey rib meat, lime crema refreshing, soft taco nice firm texture. Shrimp Haiti had great peppery heat, but dish's other elements did not stand up well to spice. Appetizer Coconut Shrimp, c'mon 3 shrimp? Husband & I each had 1.5 shrimp of which I mainly got a bite of tail shell. We agreed mayonnaise-like horseradish dipping sauce did not seem like right compliment- a bit bold for tropical flavor & thick consistency meant spooning on top or losing shrimp & its jacket. Took Key Lime Pie & Tres Leche cake home. Hours later both were still very good. Seated on outdoor deck with beautiful view, but also somewhat forgotten about. A little more forgivable when indoors, not when sweating thirstily in sun. Tall chairs difficult to mount & ledge we ate off felt a little unkept. Agree with other reviewer, placemats. Didn't think inside was too appealing- place could use a little sprucing up.
