The best sandwich of my trip
This is the sandwich shop we all wished we had near our homes/office. The guys running the place are super nice and friendly. And the sandwich was off the charts -- full of meats and condiments. It was truly amazing. Thank you.

We had this place recommended by "Beneath the Streets" and weren't disappointed. "Simple" food to take out or eat in, freshly prepared and cheerfully served

Terrible! Nothing italian about this place. Sandwich was soaking in oil. Terribly expensive, 15$ for a small sandwich

Very personable and places to sit inside & out. Looking for a deli on the way to the Game, In the second part of Pioneer Square, right here! Delicious & worth the wait! Be forewarned, the Porchetta Sandwich is good but wet! Wear a bib or eat over the paper!

I was shocked at how rich the food is here, it really is worth it, highly recommended if you want to go!!!
Be the first to ReplyGet the Porchetta, top 3 sandwich in Seattle
My only complaint is that Salumi has such limited hours. Top notch cured meats, great service and The Porchetta! The best sandwich in Pioneer Square, maybe all of Seattle. Make sure to show up right around 11 when they open because the line can get long quickly.
I suggest getting a Porchetta to eat right when it comes out and then order another sandwich for later :)
The Best!
Incredible place, reasonable prices, but the most important thing is the taste of its products. The quality of the cold cuts, are only comparable with those served in Italy.

I recently ordered the Porchetta Sliders to go from CORO by Salumi and I must say that they are every bit as good as the Porchetta that my grandmother-in-law serves to my wife’s family back in the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). Wow!
The pork is seasoned so well! Since I took it “to go” they separated out each part of the sandwich so that it didn’t get soggy walking to my hotel room.
The starter salad with cured meat was delightful and really set the meal off in the right direction. Next, I had the corn side dish which was amazing! It was corn on the cob served cold, covered with a sauce, sprinkled with cotija cheese, cilantro, and radish. There was a slice of lime too that I squeezed over the dish. Simply amazing!
Lastly I had this amazing Porchetta sandwich with onion and peppers but it was more than that. The slider buns were artisan type and they had some sort of herbed compound butter spread on them.
If you’re at all in the mood for a slice of the Midwest served up in the PNW, I HIGHLY recommend the Porchetta Sliders from CORO by Salumi.
The meal finishes up with a Chocolate Chip Cookie that was delicious. What an amazing meal!
Best Italian sandwiches in America
Best sandwiches in America. Very good salumi. I always buy a finocchiona salami to take home also. The new location is roomier than the original.

Truly a Seattle institution! Tremendous sandwiches and other dishes as well. I've eaten here at least a dozen times and it never disappoints.

I got the hot sopressata and my wife got the meatball. They are a little expensive but both were very good. We easily could have just gotten one and split it (I ate all of mine, somehow). At any rate, they were about the best meals we had in Seattle.
Be the first to ReplyDeconstructed Porchetta Sandwich Disappoints
The porchetta at Salumi has long been one of my favorite sandwiches in Seattle, yet yesterday's version disappointed for the first time. It seemed to have been served deconstructed, with a smaller portion of onions and peppers on the side of the sandwich basket rather than inside the sandwich itself. These proved to be difficult to insert later at the table by hand since the meat and the bread were already stuck together. The result was a much drier version of this classic sandwich. Sure hope this isn't how the porchetta will be presented from now on....

This place was highly recommended and I understand why. They have great huge sandwiches made with fresh ingredient and great bread. The meatball sandwich is huge and could easily feed more than two people. Prices are fairly high but to be expected when considering the location, size of servings and quality of food. Well worth stopping by.

There is a reason that Salumi is crowded at lunchtime, the sandwiches are just spectacular. Although I have eaten here on many occasions, I had never gotten around to writing a review. I had a friend in town for business, and he took the train from Vancouver BC so I picked him up at the station and we walked over to Salumi for lunch. I recommended that he try the porchetta sandwich, which he pronounced was one of the top five sandwiches he had had in his life. Because I did not my way through much of the menu, including having had Leonetta's meatballs, porchetta, grilled lamb from the hot sandwich menu and having gone through most of the cold sandwich menu this time I went for the Salumi Muffo. It is usual was exceptional. One of the strengths of Salumi is the ability of the owners to pair the sandwich fillings with the roles of bread.
I only have two very minor complaints about Salumi. First is that it is so popular that there is often a wait to find a place to sit down and eat. The second is they are not located close enough to where I live so I can go and more frequently and enjoy their amazing sandwiches..
if you like meat, this is the place for you!
Even though the line looks long, it moves very quickly. My husband and I shared a porchetta sandwich with onions and peppers. It isn't cheap- one sandwich was $16 w/o a drink. You order at the register and stand around until your sandwich is ready. It's ready in a jiffy. It was overflowing w/ meat. It was very tasty and large portions. We didn't get it but they also sell premade salads. There aren't many tables but between the inside ones and outside ones, it wasn't hard to get a table as long as you're not a large party. I bet it would be much more crowded if it was the middle of summer but in Sept, it wasn't bad. Seems like mostly locals.
