Long wait and mediocre food.
Landry’s Seafood is part of a massive chain of a restaurant conglomerate. Their website listed outdoor dining, and when were arrived we were told conflicting excuses, as to why it was closed. Hostess said they were short staffed, and the manager said the outdoors had no cover in case of rain. It wasn’t raining. They let us take food out and eat outside on their patio tables. Great. Food would take 20 minutes they told us. However, It took over an hour and my wife has low blood sugar. Food came out. Ordered the stuffed Jalapeños, Fish Po boy, Blackened Redfish etoufille. Kids Pasta Alfredo and kid’s burgers, and cobbler a la mode. The food tasted corporate, mediocre and unfresh. My daughter liked her pasta (she is 6), Sun didn’t like the cheese on the burgers (he is 6). Wife thought the po boy was “Ok”. My fish reminded me or a frozen microwaved meal. Bill was about $100 so not unreasonable, but I wouldn’t eat there again. Apparently, their steak place Salt Grass isn’t very pgood according to one of the Landry’s employees.

Restaurant was very noisy, service slow and food mediocre at best. I had a great experience eating at a Landry’s in Boston and the one in Orlando was a big disappointment.

To begin with, I didn't realize that this was part of a chain until after I made our reservation. We don't usually eat at chain restaurants and this proved the rule. The Oysters Rockefeller at $19.50 for 5 was missing the mornay sauce on top. Instead they just browned some cheap parmesan cheese on top which misses the whole point. The Wedge salad was meh at best. My son's wife ordered fish & chips which she pronounced inedible. The fish was over cooked and the batter didn't really stick to the fish. My grand kids, whose are finicky eaters had the kids hamburger. (I know, who orders hamburger in a seafood restaurant. I begged him not to but kids are kids.) What came was two small hockey pucks on slider rolls. Somehow one ate most of the two, meat only; the other left the burgers. My son seemed to enjoy the blackened redfish etoufee but he has less than a discerning palate. My wife's stuffed flounder was enjoyed but my snapper Verona was unrememorable. All this adds up to over $240 plus tip.

The waitress was attentive and we were seated quickly. The food was not on par with prices. The rice was minute rice. The “fresh catch” tasted like farmed and frozen tilapia. Considering Florida has abundant coast lines one would expect fresh seafood

Visited Landry's for dinner, fish very fresh and prepared well. Very good oysters. If you have visited Landry's in other cities note this location is very casual, most diners were there in shorts as opposed to Landry's in some other locations. Very enjoyable.

The food was very tasty, lobster, meat and fish. Chowder was also good .The bread pudding and banana foster equally good. Outstanding service by Alejandro. Answered questions about the menue, very helpfull and attentive. The mashed potatoes was not so good.

Less than average experience. The conch chowder was served cold so we sent it back to be heated up. It came back luke warm. The green beans were over cooked and the snapper had no flavor. When we finished eating , our dishes were left in front of us even after the check was paid- I had to ask for them to be cleared. We were all disappointed. We expected more for these prices- will never be back.

the plank salmon and the fresh catch Pontchartrain are very tasty. This salmon was perfectly cooked and I ate it all! They do a great job making a Tito's martini too!
Be the first to ReplyNo playground there anymore
The service and food was good! We enjoyed a lovely family meal. There is no playground there anymore which is disappointing - it’s the reason we picked the place but ended up having the best meal we had had all week!
