Sensei Porcupine Creek Rancho Mirage Reviews from The Last Year
Outstanding Golf and Wellness Resort
Sensei Porcupine Creek has become our go to resort for outstanding golf and wellness. the staff, facilities, and food and beverage offerings are wonderful. This is our third visit to Sensei porcupine Creek and we will be returning again in the fall and next spring.
Heaven on Earth!
Sensei Porcupine Creek is paradise! From the time you drive through the gate, you realize you are in a very special place. The grounds are breathtaking. The accommodations are lovely, spacious and calming. The golf course is spectacular. I did not play it. People who did reported that they enjoyed a fabulous round of golf. I enjoyed the heated pool. I opted for two spa treatments, a custom message and a gua sha uplifting facial. Both were unique and so relaxing that at the end of the day I easily drifted off to dreamland. The practitioners were first class. Jen was my masseuse and Christine performed my awesome facial. A wellness experience here is not to be missed. Each member of the staff is educated and is outstanding at what they do. I participated in meditation arts, yin yoga, fitness and resistance training and came away with a sense of accomplishment and well-being. The art at Sensei Creek is museum quality. There is a beautiful collection inside and brilliant sculptures throughout the outside property. We were lucky enough to go on an hour art tour of the property. Don't miss this. The food here is sublime! Nobu is the restaurant here. My daughter and I thought we died and went to heaven since Japanese cuisine is our favorite. Each and every dish is creative and extraordinary. The presentation is a work of art. We chose to let our waiter extraordinaire, Victor, choose our dishes for us and he did not disappoint. It was a wonderful dining experience. The last night we dined in the sushi bar. Brad was our sushi chef. He prepared each of our dishes with precision and artistry and explained what we were enjoying. Every bite was spectacular! Among our favorites were the miso black cod, crab stuffed tempura, whole fish sea bass and the uni. Actually, everything was our favorite. Lastly and most important is the way you are treated. The staff here makes you feel fabulous. They want to serve you and will do everything they can to enhance your happiness. They are professional, friendly and respectful. Every single person who works here no matter what their position makes you feel good that you are staying at Sensei Porcupine Creek. This is a magical place! Don't miss it!
Luxury in Palm Springs
Stunning grounds and a golfer’s paradise. The golf course is second to none, a private breathtaking course. The golf instructors are superb. Rooms are luxurious but they are sparsely furnished. If you want to enjoy your coffee or tea in your room, they have a chair you can sit on but no small table next to it so you can place your mug. Same issue for room service. No place to eat in the room. We had to bring in the table and chairs from the outdoor patio into the room as it was raining outside. Nobu is great but they should expand their menu offering for in room dining. Spa does not compare to Sensei Lanai. Still this property is the most luxurious hotel in the Palm Springs area and I would stay there again.
Porcupine Creek Sensei
Overall, a fabulous trip! Beautiful grounds, 5 star service and accommodations. Nobu was incredible as well. Thank you for a memorable time!
Sensei Porcupine Creek is a wonderful experience
I would highly recommend Sensei Porcupine Creek to everyone as a first class experience for a relaxing getaway. The golf course is one on a kind and the accommodations and food are the best we have experienced in a long time.
Beautiful upscale resort but limited services
The grounds, including the villa we stayed in, are beautiful and immaculate. The restaurant is above average and in an enjoyable setting. The onsite staff were all friendly, welcoming, responsive, and courteous. However, this property would be much better off not to hold itself out as a wellness resort. Sensei has received ample negative feedback at both properties in regard to how completely disorganized and unprofessional the pre-arrival and scheduling process is. The spa, fitness, and wellness staff are relatively inexperienced and the “wellness” services cannot compete at this price point. As noted in other reviews and by other word-of-mouth, appointments and classes are very hard to come by. Also, the regular rooms would be a major disappointment. Our villa was wonderful and I would only return to stay in a villa. For a golf or tennis stay, or just to stay in the prettiest resort in the Palm Springs area, it is worth it. But it is not worth its price point as a fitness or wellness destination. It would be great if there was a place in the US that offered the high quality and expansive fitness and wellness services of a place like Miraval, Mii Amo, Ranch at Malibu, or Canyon Ranch combined with the high end, modern, beautiful accommodations of Sensei.
Heaven on Earth
This place is AMAZING! Every little detail is thought through. The grounds are stunning and the casitas are over the top. All that being said, the staff is what really makes this place extra special. Michael, Oscar, Abram, Drum, Jay, and Per are standouts but there isn't a person on the property that won't go out of their way to accommodate you. Chef Matsuhisa is a food genius and sitting at the Sushi Bar watching him and his team prepare the exquisite Nobu dishes was a real treat. We were there four days and three nights with plans to visit the town of Palm Springs but we ended up never leaving the property!
Amazing experience! Expensive and worth every penny.
My wife and I travel a lot and this place is in our top 3, along with the Green O and the Mayakoba Rosewood. Maybe even #1. The grounds and golf course are simply stunning. Eating down the hall at NOBU every night isn't bad either. Mattress was a little hard but they swapped it out by the next night. Great service everywhere!
Perfection Beckons! We will be back!
You simply cannot imagine a more serene, restful and rejuvenating retreat. Picture a magnificent, precisely-manicured 220-acres liberally dotted with (among others) Keith Harring and Jaime Plensa sculptures, a warm, friendly, well-trained team that seems to always say "yes" to your every request, superb spa treatments and growth and fitness classes, scrumptious Nobu cuisine (so good that there is no reason to ever leave the premises), professional quality tennis facility (including a well-tended clay court) and a stunning golf course that customarily sees only 2 to 4 golfers a day. Imagine having all of this available only to you and the 50 to 60+ other guests on site on a given day. Fitness classes are small (3 of my tennis "classes" ended up being private) and other fitness classes had no more than 1 or 3 additional attendees. All of our instructors were outstanding. Sensei is peaceful, quiet and exhilarating all at once. We will definitely be back!
A Special Place
What a special place! Golfers, put this one on your bucket list! My husband and I treated ourselves to a stay at Sensei Porcupine Creek for four nights before joining friends on a cycling holiday in the Ojai Valley. It was unlike any resort that we have ever stayed at. The highlights for us were the golf and the hiking. The pristine 18-hole golf course may be the prettiest that we have ever played with the surrounding mountains, gorgeous fairways and brilliant bougainvillea. Only a handful of golfers play each day, making us feel like we had the course to ourselves. The attentive staff did everything possible to make us feel at home, including having our lunches delivered to us on the course. We delighted in eating our picnic lunch at the highest point on the course with incredible views of the remarkable 15th hole. With the next group hours behind us, we could take our time and enjoy every moment on the course. We had much needed massages, twice, and greatly enjoyed the excellent treatments. The food at Nobu, the resort restaurant, was phenomenal- we loved every bite! We truly enjoyed our evening at the Sushi Bar chatting with the chefs. The shiitake mushroom salad, black cod miso and my morning fruit, yoghurt and granola breakfast were my most memorable bites. I always love a hotel with an awesome hike close-by and this place did not disappoint! Taking advantage of the cool mornings, we headed up the hiking trail after breakfast and hiked to our heart’s content. On our final morning we hiked to the peak of the hotel’s trail, went over a fallen fence and reached the summit of a local hike called The Bump and Grind. We made our way down the trail and took an offshoot to a road near the hotel. The 5 1/2 km loop had heart pounding climbs and plenty of Instagram moments. Our only disappointment was with our first room, where the patio door/ window opened to a common patio. We had been hoping for privacy and the opportunity to keep our curtains open to enjoy the views. The surprisingly small bathroom was not what we expected with the price we were paying. We were able to move to a better room that met our needs for our final two nights. Both rooms were extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Overall, we loved our stay at Sensei Porcupine Creek. Thank you to all of the staff who made us feel so welcome.
Wonderful Luxury Resort
We spent four days at Sensei as a married couple, and we had an amazing time. The resort offers a great active experience, which for us consisted of tennis classes, strength training, great hikes and walks on premises, massages, and some random moments, like a yoga class (well done, but not our style) and some swims. Everything at the resort is top notch. The bathrooms have incredibly high-end components, the restaurant's food quality is off the charts, and the people ... the Sensei team is warm and gracious and helpful, every single person. This is a great place for a couple that might be looking for a romantic getaway that at the same time includes healthy living (good exercise classes, tennis, and so on) and also pure indulgence (dinner at Nobu), all in a setting where you might know that there are other guests, but you really feel wonderfully spaced apart, unless you want to interact (as we did, for instance, over tennis). Overall, it's a little pricey, but you will feel the difference between "nice" and "wow" luxury. We'll definitely be back and feel lucky to have found this gem.
Golf program experience
Richard and Barrett provided this high handicapper a level of service and instruction that must be experienced to be believed. The course is gorgeous and perfectly maintained, the mountain backdrop is stunning and typically no more than 6 players the entire day. The fitness assessments and sessions were well done and challenging but doable and wellness aspects were first rate and well integrated into the overall goals. Chef Taka's Omakase sushi is the best any of our well traveled group of foodies ever had. We will return.

I've earned $150 in a transaction and am not able to send this to my account. It's been rejected 3 times because I'm asking for too much?
The customer support function has provided zero responses and there are so many fees on the deposit process. What the heck? Has anyone been able to withdraw $ from earned bids?

You can only deposit $50 at a time until you earn the “Sales and Low Refund Medal” I believe. Im new to this as well but the ability to deposit more money at once and increase your amount of listings comes with that medal.

Someone else posted that they were only able to transfer $50 at a time so maybe that’s why it says you’re asking for too much. I haven’t sold anything yet so I have no personal experience but I would try $50.
