Great setting and atmosphere with nice food
Lovely setting at the top of Eataly. Great atmosphere, good food and drink options. Service was a little slow at times but friendly and polite. Free wi-fi and well worth visiting if you're in the area for lunch or dinner.

Plenty of great Italian food here, at a premium. At such prices, however, the staff left us feeling rather abandoned and hungry for the longest time before we were seated. And given the rooftop location, where were the views of midtown Manhattan?
Be the first to ReplyGood food- Poor Service
We went here for a meal before catching a show on broadway. It is a long walk from the location so we scheduled our reservation for 3 hours before the show began. The our server was pleasant until about halfway through the meal when he basically disappeared. At one point, when he did come by to check on us, he cut off one of our guests in the middle of the sentence with a dismissive wave and walked away. We ordered dessert and then did not see the server (or anyone else) for a solid 30 minutes. It was only when we walked up to the hostess stand to ask for a check did the server come by again. The food was good as were the holiday cocktails.
Be the first to ReplyLovely lunch
We were a little jet lagged and this helped us get over it! It was a hot day and it was a little hot inside but they fixed that for us. Drinks were pretty but we all didnโt love them unfortunately. The pumpkin ravioli was absolutely beautiful. My mum did order a prosciutto panini and it was just a ham sandwich so she was a little disappointed in that. Overall we had a lovely lunch and would have liked to have time to go back for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyPitter-Patter lovely brunch
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and Serra was a perfect spot for some brunch. On the rooftop of Eataly nicely covered and we could hear the rain pitter-patter on the enclosure while we leisurely enjoyed our meal and people watched, simple entertainment! Delightful cocktails, some warm rustic bread and a nice fresh caprese salad got us started. I had the gnochi with multiple fresh tomatoโs in the lovely sauce and fresh basil, all just right and not to heavy. Kyle had the mussels and thought they were alright. We did top off the meal with the beautifully rich and airy tiramisu, such a wonderful way to end a meal.
Be the first to ReplyCute but not worth it
Nice decoration but that's about it. Highly overpriced for mediocre food. The wine is a total rip off!
Be the first to ReplyMediocre Italian food
Mediocre Italian food, ok but not a place to return to. Ordered homemade ravioli..., didn't taste homemade, unfortunately no highlight.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, great atmosphere.
Went for dinner with my teenage niece. Despite the directions in the reservation conformation, we did have a bit of trouble finding where to check in (it's kinda tucked back behind a bank of registers...look for the greenery). Once we found the right place though, we were shown right up and seated immediately. Unfortunately, there was a large party having a celebration and our waiter got caught up with them after giving us our menus and it was almost 30 minutes before I managed to flag someone down to take our order. The new waiter that took over was exceptional though and fast-tracked everything for us, even though I assured him it was fine and we werenโt in any hurry. Great food with some excellent vegetarian choices. Appreciated that there were a few non-alcoholic cocktail options (using Seedlip) on the menu as well.

My wife and I were looking for a place to host aโ graduationโ event. We looked at a place in West 23rd street and when done my wife suggested the top floor of Eataly called Birreria. It was rather packed so we had to wait since we didnโt have reservations. After about 10 minutes we weee seated. We asked what the specials were. The waiter said the special tonight was a Ravioli special. I chose this ( turned out it was not so special) and my wife ordered a Pappardelke asparagi which she said she liked. She also asked for a glass of wine and I asked for bread. The bread was good but neither of us liked the wine. This is why the review is titled Hot and Cold ๐ฅถ
Be the first to ReplyGood food but scruffy, noisy restaurant
Had read articles stating how wonderful this restaurant was, after walking through the eataly store and seeing all the fantastic ingredients and food counters, we were so excited. After being greeted by the young lady on the ground floor, we were sent up to the roof restaurant in a lift. When the lift door opened, I thought we had somehow pressed the wrong button in the lift and ended up on a back of house floor as the area outside the lift and on the stairs up to the roof level were very scruffy and smelt dirty. The food was nice and the overall look of the place was also nice but totally spoiled by the music being pumped out by the DJ in the corner, way, way too loud and that is the opinion of our 18 yr old daughter who was dining with us. Before we paid and left, I thought I would use the Menโs bathroom, oh my god, what a dump, absolutely disgraceful. There was some kind of Ducting stacked up the bathroom and everything in the room was broken and worn out. Considering the cost of eating here you would at least expect the bathroom to be presentable but it wasnโt, shockingly bad. Simple things like this leave a really bad impression and would certainly put us off from ever returning or recommending the place to anyone else, real shame.

Absolutely no signage for this place. We searched and searched, called twice and nobody answered. Finally after asking a few people, they were able to point us in the right direction. We get upstairs and walked up to the host & jokingly said, "hard place to find!" His reply was something like, yeah I had a hard time finding it too, to be honest. Once we got sat the vibe was great and our server, Katherin C was outstanding!! I really loved her personality and honesty she was so very kindhearted and genuine. I was looking on the paper menu and here they changed their menu and never updated their website. I have a food allergy and a tad picky, so we were limited on options at that point. We paid for one drink and left. Im upset we didn't get to spend more time with our server, Katherin!! She is such a breath of fresh air!

The restaurant entrance was a little hard to findโฆitโs tucked in a corner of Eataly. Once you find that, they check you in and you take the elevator up to the 14th floor if you have a reservation or are sitting at the bar. (They wonโt seat you without your whole party). The atmosphere is pretty awesome. Itโs full of light and has hanging flowers all over. It definitely doesnโt feel like youโre in the loud and busy city! The bartenders are quick and friendly. Once seated, the waiter was attentive. We were there during restaurant week, so in addition to the menu, we had the choice of an appetizer and certain entrees for $30. Our favorite appetizer was definitely the arancini (over the beet salad)! The gnocchi entree was ok, but wouldnโt order it again. The Atlantic cod was good and so was the chicken scallopini. We enjoyed the drinks, and they even had some great mock tails.
Be the first to ReplyA great space with good food
The food was really good and extra buttery. The space is beautiful at night and service was good from the bar. Would go again but reservations are needed if you expect to sit at a table.

Amazing food and drinks, great service. All three of us got separate pastas and were able to share and they were all amazing. Our waiter was also able to pick out wines based on our preferences and they were all spot on. It was fun to shop around downstairs while we waited for our table. It was also a very pleasant atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyAvg food but our waiter made up for it
Last meal of our NYC trip. The setting here is beautiful there is no doubt , and the markets below also , so the experience of this location os a 4 or 5 star. The food for us was a bit of a let down. to be fair we struggled a little with the menu but to be fair our waiter Ubon p (I think) was without doubt the most laid back NYC person we met. Calamari starters were nice. The arrancini was not for me, quite bland. The salmon went down well for the mains as did the my daughters tagliatelle dish, the skewer was very average and the mushroom pasta dish also. I would return in the summer to experience it again and be more patient with the menu
Be the first to ReplyNice atmosphere and ok food
Lovely atmosphere with good service. The entree was average but creative dessert options were scrumptious. The location is easy to find and the drinks on point.
Be the first to ReplyRude Service
Terrible customer service. I had a reservation for 9:15 pm. We planned to grab drinks post dinner. Our table wasnโt ready when we arrived and had to wait 5 minutes. Then, we are seated and order drinks. When our waiter finds out we are not ordering food, he said the tables were only for food. He forced us our check and we had to go stand in the bar, which had no seats. The reservation said nothing about food being required. You also donโt force someone out of their seat when 1. They have a reservation and 2. They are already seated with drinks in hand. I have never had a place do this. Very rude.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot (once you find it!)
Took us a while to find the entrance - could use some signage out on the street! The hostesses were terrible - we had a reservation and they kept asking if we needed help then disappearing to get a table but not returning. When they did return they once again asked if we needed helpโฆso that was a struggle. Once we got our table everything went well. The wait staff were amazing - very friendly and organized. Our food and drinks were great. The decor was very pretty and photo worthy.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
We were booked in for an early dinner at 5.15. The food and drinks were nice. We were sat at a table for two along the right hand side of the restaurant which left one of us facing a brick wall. Considering we booked it on the basis of how lovely it looked on trip advisor and assuming it might have a nice view being so high up - this was the main disappointment. There were numerous other tables available in the middle of the restaurant which would have been preferable. We also had to wave our hands around to get attention to order another drink. Had we known one of us would spend the evening facing a wall we would have gone elsewhere. There is also the problem of the address being no 200 and when you go to a door outside numbered 200 an angry security guy waves his hands at you to go elsewhere, there is no indication you access Serra through Eatalia next door.

Great, honest and fresh food. It's not cheap but you will get a amazing experience. You imagine yourself on a real Italian terrace. Only it's in the middle of NY. We had ordered several smaller dishes and combined with delicious wine. One TIP, try the Burrata it's the best. Please NOTE always make a reservation !

Awesome - great service. Nice big generous glasses of wine and amazing fresh food expertly seasoned. Best panzanella Iโve ever had - and have been to Italy many times . Great vibe, great food. Love. โค๏ธ

Very nice and cozy rooftop, gets a little crowded in the evenings. Service can be a little slow. Food and drinks are decent, nothing super amazing (but what do you expect from a rooftop bar?).
Be the first to ReplyGreat location, overwhelmed service, decent food
Service was overwhelmed, waited 30 minutes before someone took our order. Chicken main dish was disappointing, Antipasti, Pasta and Tiramisu great. Overall quality of ingredients was excellent. You pay for the location, which is beautiful.
Be the first to ReplyThe Top of Eatily Didnโt Deliver Italy!
Lovely rooftop setting. Amazing waitress. Disappointing food from appetizers through main dishes. Iโve eaten my way through Umbria and Tuscany but unfortunately the food served here missed the boa to Italy. An overpriced skimpy dish of calamari was fried to a hard tasteless crisp. Pasta dishes that featured tiny morsels of eggplant had a thick gummy sauce and pasta that was harder to chew than the expected al dente they tried to execute. A slab of roast pork was flavorful but tough and also hard to chew. A bland whole bronzino fish was tasteless. I would stick to the ground floor at Eatily. The rooftop food is a big come down.

Quirky location through the Eately market queue to a lift in the back corner. Warm welcome and table available early. Great service (Didn't get his name but he had good recommendations; Grillo, bombetto, saffron pasta and almond dessert). Good ambience and setting.
