Best Restaurant on Miami Beach
Best restaurant and steakhouse in Miami Beach with the best views. The burger, fries, salad, Mac & cheese, and mash potatoes are the best. Have been to this restaurant everytime l've been in Miami.

The best Wagyu Steak I have ever eaten. Exzellente Service, perfekt cocktails and live sport all evening long! I'll be back...
Be the first to ReplyNot really worth it …
Very expensive but not worth it. The service wasn’t very good, we had to wait 2 hours to eat, and food wasn’t so good. The seafood platter was too cold.. wouldn’t recommend it…
Be the first to ReplyBad service
We waited more than 45 min. for them to take our order and more than 1:30 for them to bring us the dishes. An expensive place for the terrible service they provide.
Be the first to ReplyThe view is beautiful, the dishes served are discreet and well cared for
We had already been to Las Vegas, (now at the Venetian) and we wanted to try the experience again. Really nice location overlooking the Miami skyline. On the one hand we were lucky that they gave us a small table on the outside terrace with the advantage of not "dying" frozen inside. The menu is typical American. However, we opted for a starter (crab cake) and a main course of shellfish and some oysters. The bread they serve is really good! Typical bread with butter. Really attentive service, (they repeated it with bread) without even asking. Decent wine list with mark-ups in line with the American average. absurdly, some Italian wines are less expensive than Californian ones! Desserts not the best.

Third visit and still just as good! A must-have served by professionals An address to recommend Prices a little high For meat lovers the signature filet mignon is a must. For small appetites like me, the scallops which are offered as a starter serve as a main course.
Be the first to ReplySo so good and great location
Really consistent regardless of location but here is the added value of the views. Super nice and helpful service, excellent food and to die for martini cocktails. Love it. We’ll be back. Top top!
Be the first to ReplyNot up to standard for fine dinning
Fantastic table overlooking the bay. Service was slow for a fine dining restaurant. Ordered the rib eye black and blue and it was served medium. Ruined the experience since my friend’s came right and I had to wait 20 minutes for the next one.
Be the first to ReplyKitchen execution issues mar the visit
Location - 5 starts - outside tables get there at 11:45 and sit down ahead of lunch crew starting at noon is the key Waiter - 5 stars - great service and understanding of our needs and the goal for the lunch Food - 2 stars - the kitchen screwed up. Burger was well done vs medium rare and missing toppings and a steak was well done vs medium rare. Steakhouses cannot make this mistake. Oysters were ok but a big shell chip in one of the oysters. The French onion soup and Wedge were great as was the cheesecake dessert. Usually this is a 5 star lunch - our waiter was upset as he should be with the performance - as it was frustrating to have such a bad mistake on key items mar a special birthday lunch. We will be back, but the kitchen needs to step up its game.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and overrated
Over priced, really poor service - waited an hour plus for a table. No wine list available, no light on the table. Complete trap
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing…
After all the hype about S&W we were very disappointed. Not a good start with a 15 minute wait to be seated for a 5:30 reservation and the Maitre’d was rude about the delay. Then he asked three groups to stand in particular order (like an army lineup) to wait.”table for 4 wait here; table for 5 here; table for 6 here” (very weird). Finally sat down; ordered wine. Waitress brought a different vintage and said ‘the wine list had not been updated’. That said the wine list could have easily been updated as it was provided in an IPad. Then we had to make a different selection. Finally ordered appetizers: scallops good; bacon interesting but just ok. Now dinner: main course not served until 7:45!!! Seriously? Steaks were “ok” but not deserving of the price. Filet Oscar barely had any crabmeat (or asparagus). Waitress was overly formal and not extremely responsive. Asking for anything from the waitress (including requesting the check) seemed to be a burden to the waitress. Plus music (speaker over our table) was very loud making it difficult to have conversation.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and poor service
We had a 7:30 pm reservation for 4 people and we were not seated until almost 8:00 pm, we noted significant increases in the price of the steaks since our visit last month and the service was very slow. We commented that the price of the steaks was almost double what we paid at another restaurant for similar quality. The location is nice for a tourist but as a local resident we will not return again.

Since I began submitting reviews to TripAdvisor in 2012, more than 8,100 reviews ago, I have never ceased to be amazed as to why a restaurant can receive a five-star "fabulous" review from one reviewer while earning a one-star "awful" rating from another. In our opinion, Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach, Florida, deserves five stars. My wife and I are familiar with the nationwide steakhouse chain. We have dined at their locations in Chicago's Marina City, New York, Boston and Las Vegas. Since 1977, Smith & Wollensky has earned a loyal legion of satisfied customers with prime, dry-aged steaks, seafood, tantalizing appetizers and delicious desserts. It is as good as it gets in the very competitive and often unpredictable steakhouse chain industry. So it is no wonder that we planned dinner at the Smith & Wollensky location at 1 Washington Avenue, in South Pointe Park, during our visit to Miami. Open from noon to 11 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, noon to midnight on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 11 to 11 on Sunday, we couldn't wait to see how this outpost stacked up against the others. As it turned out, they don't have to take a backseat to anyone. For starters, we had a five-piece jumbo shrimp cocktail, St. Louis cut BBQ ribs with Carolina BBQ sauce, bacon potato salad and pickles, bowls of New England clam chowder and classic split pea soup and Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, tomatoes, croutons and parmesan. Yes, it sounds like a meal in itself. But we were very hungry after a long day of sightseeing and took time to people-watch. For an entree, my wife chose Chilean sea bass with fondant potatoes, lobster bisque, shaved fennel and creamed spinach. I couldn't resist one of the house specialties, a nine-ounce gold grade Wagyu New York strip steak, with bearnaise saucd, a coffee and cocoa rub, roasted corn puree, chimichurri, whipped potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, we passed on vanilla bean creme brulee, coconut creme cake, New York cheesecake and 10 layer chocolate cake in favor of Baked Alaska for two served tableside. What is Baked Alaska, which is rarely seen on a menu? An American invention, the name was coined in 1876 at Delmonico's famous restaurant in New York City to commemorate the acquisition by the United States of the territory of Alaska from the Russian Empire in 1867. Go figure. It consists of pints of ice cream (one or two flavors) layered between a slice of sponge cake and a covering of meringue. If you see it on a menu, be sure to order it.

Walked past, fell in love with the view and decided to grab a small bite to eat. We ordered a salad and some sides, and were practically laughed at by our waitress who exclaimed that it was a steak restaurant and questioned our choices. When we explained we would like to stick with our order as we had had a big lunch, she stormed off shaking her head and was visibly complaining to the manager about us… she made us feel so small and we were not treated like the other customers in the restaurant who had ordered the $260 tomahawk steak, we were treated with less importance all because we had two salads and some sides ($150 worth of food). We were hoping to stay afterwards and have a few drinks since it was our last night in Miami, but she completely ruined our vibe and we wanted to get out of there before our food even came, we were made to feel so uncomfortable and insufficient to other guests. If we had a choice, we would have left no tip at all, but we decided to leave a small tip and get out of there as soon as possible, the waitress opened the bill straight away as soon as she took it, and again, she shook her head at the tip we left . My partner headed to the loo and the waitress who had made us feel so uncomfortable all evening confronted me and asked why we had left a smaller tip to which I replied she had made us feel uncomfortable. She barely let me speak and lied about the fact she shook her head - which we clearly saw her do about us on two separate occasions, she tried to say she was shaking her head about a different table - which we know isn’t true. Having worked as a waitress in the UK, I was utterly shocked by the snobbery of this woman - NEVER would I judge someone for the food choices that they make. Not only is it just none of her business what I choose to eat, but it’s harmful and intrusive. I am in fact in Miami working as an influencer with a huge hospitality company and I won’t be afraid to document this on my channels.

We are regulars at this restaurant. We had a reservation for 8h00 pm. As usual, they invited us to the bar until 8h45 pm. We are wine lovers and requested 5 bottles of wine that were not available on the list. Finally, we chose a bottle that was available but our dinner was delayed by one hour. We felt like we were outliars. Instead of being apologetic toward us, the waiter and the manager made us feel bad and somewhat difficult because they could not meet our expectations.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing steak and cocktail
I had an amazing filet mignon at this location. Truly savory along with mushrooms and cream of spinach. The gin cocktail was phenomenal as well. Friendly and efficient service all around. Restaurant had great ambience to it as well.
Be the first to ReplyAnother perfect restaurant in Miami
Our second recommendation from the InterCon hotel. We wanted to have our last meal in Miami down on the beach and the location was pefect, with a great view of passing water traffic. A classic American establishment, with waiting staff who seemed to have been there forever; with excellent service to match the high quality food. Their clam chowder is to die for! Our daughters's burger didn't come out right and in compensation the chef came out and presented her with a dessert selection that did for 2 people

THIS IS THE STEAK ANDY THREW OUT IN DEVIL WEARS PRADA!??? I'm upset. This Cajun Ribeye was to die forrrrrrr. The CRUST?????? Delicious. Outstanding. Perfectly cooked. Truffle Mac & Onion rings were yummy. The oysters were full and delicious. The bread was buttery and soft. I cannot ask for a better meal

Very nice food. I chose beef fillet mignon, cooked as I asked. Thanks for very friendly staff. I liked Mr Fernando who took care on us. He was very professional and friendly. I recommend this place and I will be happy to come back again
Be the first to ReplyAlways a sure bet for a great meal
What restaurants should be like - excellent food, service and ambiance. Expensive but worth it. Steaks are big enough to share and cooked to perfection.
Be the first to ReplyTotally out of line and disappointing!!!!!!.
I have been to this restaurant countless times, sitting inside as well as by the water and at the bar. Always a great experience. This past Saturday, I decided to venture out with my small dog and sat outside at the bar. I was having a great time until this "manager" Charles Murphy approached me to say that my dog COULD NOT BARK!. Mind you the music was quite loud PLUS other dogs were happily walking by and often times they barked. He offered NO valid reason or explanation for this insensitive demand which I equate to someone telling me if I had children, that they better not cry!. It is action like the one this individual decided to take that destroy an establishment's reputation. Are they not family friendly, pet friendly in South Beach?. Sad to say but, I will be posting my bad experience all over social media so if by chance you have kids and/or own a dog and take them, please be warned about this unacceptable and ridiculous behavior!!!!.

Had a fantastic meal with a wonderful salad and scrumptious dessert. I ordered the dry aged ribeye and it was ok, as steaks go. I'm not sure how long they dry age the steaks, but this one still had plenty of (too much) sinew and not that typical funky dry aged flavor. Excellent service and I appreciated them letting me camp out and read / relax for awhile.

Overlooking Government Cut where cruise ships leave the Port of Miami. We went to a private party where we were seated on a patio n the water. Started with some nice hors d'oeurves including very good beef sliders. First course was a choice of either a Caesar salad or the Wollensky Salad, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, potato croutons, bacon lardons, marinated mushrooms, and Dijon vinaigrette. We chose the Wollensky Salad,, just average. Next was a choice of Signature Filet Mignon or Organic Salmon, we chose one of each. Both were just fair. Sautéed Asparagus and Whipped Potatoes were served family style. The best thing was the dessert, New York Style Cheesecake, creamy, traditional New York style cheesecake with a sweet graham cracker crust, served with a raspberry coulis.
Be the first to ReplyIt was alright, but I’d try another steakhouse before returning again.
We had reservations, but arrived early (expecting we’d have to wait). Host told us we could not be seated until our reservation time, but could wait at the bar indoors or out. There were quite a few tables open upon our arrival as well as our departure, but folks still standing around waiting for a table.
Our waiter, Remy, was friendly.
The bread and garlic/herb butter prior to the meal was good.
We had surf and turf for two. Lobster tails were on the smaller side. Meat was tender, but could have a bit more seasoning.
A nearby table got the swinging tomahawk steak and it was quite impressive!
Steak with a view please.
What could be better than enjoying a perfectly cooked, medium rare, lightly charred "Hanging" Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye with Government Cut in the foreground? Well, add in some perfectly cooked, smashed potatoes, with some drippings which are blow torched by a skilled waiter, a great wine, and not much can beat it. S & W is about as good a steak house as there is, but the Miami location is our favorite.
The staff is knowledgeable and well trained. All pros. This is a high traffic location. They are all tested by a crowd that demands attention.
We will definitely be back......for the steak AND the view.
