Server was Assaulted by Customers: Manager claimed — part of job 🥹
Beware — this establishment deletes poor reviews. My friends and I had dinner here on Sunday night. We were horrified to witness our server, a young woman, be sexually assaulted in front of us by her two guests. Not only did the three of us see thi
Fave New Brunch Spot
I love Sofia's patio as it is protected by three buildings with fantastic retro 60s murals. It is cozy and quiet with lovely planters spilling over with flowers. It's the perfect brunch spot with no cars zipping by. We had the burrata wi
Overpriced and bad food
Food was very disappointing. Worst fish we ever had. Should have returned it. Appetizers are a ripoff. That said, good service and beautiful ambiance.
Lovely restaurant in Yorkville
We enjoyed our brunch at Sofia's in Yorkville. The ambiance was festive due to Mother’s Day lunches. It’s spacious and it didn’t feel overcrowded. They have a nice patio. The brunch options were standard. My avocado toast with poached eggs
Great place for drinks and dinner.
This is a great place. I’ve been going to Sofia for the past four years, and it’s always been an enjoyable experience. Whether it’s sitting at the bar for a few drinks on a busy Friday or Saturday, or enjoying a nice date or gathering with frie
Good except for the noise level!
We really like Sophia - especially in the summer when you can sit outside. And they went to great lengths to survive during the pandemic which I really admired them for. Last night was a bit different. More like a family restaurant. Sophia'
Interesting Upscale Italian
This is an Italian restaurant in the heart of Yorkville. It was very quiet at lunch and has a very upscale atmosphere. The food and service were very good and I felt 5hat 5hey have a different take on Italian. I suggest you go for dinner.
Excellent food, super excellent service
The service deserved six stars! Every request was attended to promptly and courteously. Outstanding. Scrambled eggs, soft as requested, excellent seasoning. Double smoked bacon cooked just right. Eager to go back.
Enjoyable last night dinner in Yorkville
Situated in the upmarket area of Yorkville Sofia is a long standing Italian restaurant which attracts a broad clientele - everyone from big parties to couples and friends. The place reminded us of San Carlo in Manchester UK - a very similar set up.
Mid day work lunch
The food, wine, local beers and service is amazing in this new contemporary restaurant led by Adrian Bernardi and Paul Lynch managing the kitchen. Chechen was amazing aka similar to Porto but the Lamb! Sam Kekovich, where are you?! It was juicy, sl
Charming
Very pleasant place. Delicious food Fantastic service. We went to celebrate my birthday, I loved it.
Blackburn Brothers were amazing but the food and service was disappointing
The band playing was Blackburn Brothers and they were amazing we had a table near the stage and the music was incredible. Because of the size of our group we were coerced into a fixed menu. I was disappointed in the quality of the food the chicken e
Great food spoiled by poor knowledge of wine and cold food
This was supposed to be a special evening. I brought a bottle of 2000 Tua Rita Redigaffi and asked the server to have the sommelier decant the wine. I don't think they have a sommelier, as a man armed with a corkscrew showed up at the table with the
Sofia....Sofiaaaaaa..you remind me of true beauty....
Before I review further, id like to be candid. My reviews are honest about how daily and small to large businesses should have the capacity to operate themselves. Here is an example of a restaurant behind Christian Louboutin, that operates with Ink E
Not worth the hype
The place looks nice, but - service is mediocre, a family restaurant has more attentive servers. The food is definitely not worth it. The fish was not cooked properly, pasta dish was not fresh and hot. When you brought it to their attention they be
Great Italian food in Toronto!
We opted to go to this restaurant instead of going to Little Italy in Toronto and it did not disappoint. Our waiter Fabian was amazing with his attention to detail and professionalism. The food was outstanding and being from NJ, we know good Italian

Great hangout, dinner not-so-much
If you want a night out with friends this is a good option. South Beach vibe, nice decor and a great selection of wine. If you want quality food then there are other options in the city. On paper the menu is on par with Italian cuisine however the qu
Average Italian restaurant
Overall decoration looks cheap for a restaurant that labels itself as high end and locates in the heart of Yorkville. Food was average. We waited over an hour to get the main courses because the waiter forgot to bring the food out. The manager proac
Lots of ambience - Lovely place to eat
Lovely ambience. We weren't celebrating anything special, but it was a very pleasant evening. We both had the black cod. It was well prepared - not a large portion - but fine for us. Roast potatoes on the side were really good. Dessert was good t
Ok place
Nice Yorkville restaurant, nice bar-completely over-rated for food, just fine, if U dont have designer clothes on, this not the place to go !!
A Great Evening
We hadn't been to Sofia since covid and were happy to be back. The food was as great as we remembered and the ambiance beautiful.
Would not go back
We had the tonno and burrata appetizer which was good. Then the sea bass for dinner. So dry and bland that I couldn’t even eat it. Side of roasted potatoes with an orange spicy sauce that did not pair well with the fish. Atmosphere was ok. But not
