This place delivered more of a hype than a gastronomic experience. First, was the wait time. We arrived at 2:30pm and waited about 1.5 hrs before we were seated by the bar. You can order drinks while waiting in line but it didn't help to remind me that we could be using this time to enjoy sightseeing or eating tapas and drinking good and inexpensive wine instead.Once we were led to the bar, we quickly made our orders as we had a lot of time to make that decision. The portions here were not small so don't be pressured to over order. We started with the dumplings and it was the best dish we had. We then had the chili crab, which is nothing like the version I had in Singapore. The crab didn't have any meats and after you spend 20 mins picking everything apart, you quickly feel fooled. The broth was the only saving grace but there was no rice to accompany that. Our last dish was the cod, it was marinated in some kind of red sauce and lathered in coconut milk foam. The red sauce overpowered the fish and I ended up tasting the coconut milk flavor instead of the fish itself. The ambiance was also lacking as the restaurant was blasting with loud music. It felt more like a club than an upscale restaurant.Lastly, the meal came with a hefty price tag. Our 3 dishes plus 3 drinks (2 wines and 1 beer) came out to be around 80 euros. It was the least satisfying meal we had in Madrid. The concept of fusion meal might be appealing for the locals or someone that wants to try something other than tapas. But if you are looking for an authentic spanish meal, this is not the place. Especially if you are visiting Spain for the first time!
