Sugar Factory American Brasserie - Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
Over priced and over hyped
We had reservations and waited 430p. Arrived at 420p did not see a server until 450. The food was poorly seasoned, horribly priced, the desserts were stale and old. The one food item that actually ws seasoned was so spicy it was inedible which is crazy because it was stir fry vegetables. This restaurant is over hyped over priced and over rated. Don't waste your time or money.
Don't Waste Your Time
If I could select 0, that would be the score. What a horrible experience. We reserved three tables and brought our engineering students there to meet alums. I ordered a salmon salad but got it with shrimp because they were out of salmon, onion rings, chicken wings, chicken tenders, and turkey burger. I also ordered beef quesadillas to go. It took over an hour to get the salad and an additional 30 mins to get the Togo food. Good thing I checked my food because my salad was missing the avocado and my quesadillas were tacos. The waitress "replaced" the food and returned with the same tacos the second time. I asked for the manager who never came. The waitress left the tacos this time and came back with "quesadillas." I looked at them and knew it wasn't beef. By this time I was done and ready to go. Got home, hubby said this is pork, not beef. We dont eat pork like that. So, it didn't get eaten. When I tried to pay, that process took about an hour. She said the manager was fixing my bill. Not sure what that meant, because there was no adjustment to my bill. I paid $52 for the wrong food. Being there almost 3 hours, I just wanted to leave. Never again will I return. Don't waste your time. Eat somewhere else.

Dirty
We were there for a birthday. The food was good not great. Which we have been to several locations we thought we knew what to expect. This was the most boring Sugar Factory experience ever. This location needs some work. The bathrooms are disgusting and that’s putting it nicely. Even the benches in the waiting area were dirty and gross looking. I feel bad for the wait staff. They were great and did the best they could. They can’t help the dirtiness of the place and the fact they were out of several menu items.

Extremely Slow service, food was alright & policies are ridiculous.. they do not accept vertical IDs even if you're over 21 and it isn't expired. Update: owner replied to the original review that she DMed me and never sent/said a thing, so that response was a lie.
My experience at the Sugar Factory left much to be desired.
While the online reservation system worked well, the troubles began upon arrival. The wait to be seated was excruciatingly long, and the cramped waiting area inconvenienced both my party and other patrons trying to navigate through. The atmosphere inside was somber, with diners appearing disheartened and distressed. To make matters worse, the bar was subpar, lacking in both ambiance and service quality. Ultimately, my party and I decided to abandon our plans at the Sugar Factory and opted for the overpriced alternative of STK. Overall, a disappointing dining experience that fell short of expectations.
There was no where to wait when we got there.
The service at the bar took forever. When we got sat we ordered our food and hour and half later one half of the food came out while my sister and her friend waited on their food I asked for ranch, I see two minutes later my server dancing and waving light sticks while we all wait on our food. The music was very loud and felt a little out of place to listen to ice spice while we eat dinner. Unable to hear the people next to us. Very unenjoyable experience. Find other places.
We arrived, and there was a line out the door.
I went to the hostess stand, where I was ignored and she answered 2 other patrons questions before telling me I must book ahead of time to be able to get a table. Then I was told we could sit at the bar where it took a while to be greeted by our friendly bartender that suggesteda couple of drinks to us. Some ladies were walking around taking fun event photos that we did buy for $20. We got 2 drinks that cost us $50. You definitely pay for atmosphere and popularity with celebrities. It was at the end of the day on a busy weekend, so the bathrooms were not up to par, and I was almost burnt by the water in the ladies' room. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would like to bring our grown kids back on a weekday when it is less chaotic.
Worlds ahead!
Food and service were great, Jazzy and Mollie took the experience to the next level!! Would recommend for any special occasion.
Wow... this place was such a bust. I wanted to love it
Wow... this place was such a bust. I wanted to love it after seeing the craze about sugar factory all over social media but the second we walked in the door we were immediately let down. We went on a Tuesday night and there were only a couple of tables filled yet it took 15+ minutes for us to be acknowledged and seated. Sat down and were handed menus that literally smelled like spoiled milk. I had seen the amazing decor and ambiance all over Instagram but this place didn't have much color let alone working TVs. After deciding not to spend $50 on a goblet drink and picking out a nice $20 margarita the size of my palm the drink was so sweet and didn't even have a hint of tequila. Can't believe this place is such a scam made the right decision and decided not to order food after we saw a couple tables around us not eat theirs or send it back. Only reason I'm glad we went is so I can make sure to never go back again! Don't waste your money or time!! The decorations reminded me of the Willy wonka experience in England
Reservation is at 3pm.
We didn't get our table until 4pm. They took our order and it's 4:30pm and still know food. This is ridiculous. I finally received my drink but I need food to drink. I'll report back if I ever receive my food.
the most ghettoest, unorganized place ever.
930 reservation for a sweet 16, didnt get a table til 1015. didn't take food order til 1040. server has an attitude. appetizer plate was dirty. like wasted a 2 hour trip for this crap. Las Vegas location was way better than this. I will never return here. Not to mention, the server didn't even acknowledge my daughters birthday.

The food is inedible, no one at our table ate more than a few bites. The space is supposed to be fun but just feels cheap and empty. They turned the lights out on us for ten minutes and couldn't figure out how to turn them back on. I sent me entree back because it was susposed to be steak but was just some pan fried greasy beef gristle and they refused to take it from the table initially until I asked for a manager. Somehow the bill was still $250 which included a 20% service fee but the waitress tried to tell me that wasn't really a tip? I think the whole business model is to pay celebrities to go there for pictures and then they have very instagram friendly deserts. Maybe go with some friends and order one desert you can all take a picture with and then throw it out if that's your thing.

The food took FOREVER AND OVERALL THE SERVICE FOR EVERYTHING WAS EXTREMELY SLOW. I went on a Tuesday and they were not even busy so I don't understand what took so long to get our drinks and food.
Ask for an itemized receipt
The food was fine and the service was good - nothing spectacular, but solid. We left feeling completely taken advantage of, though. Four of us and our bill was $160. You don't get an itemized receipt. When we added up our items in the car later, we think we were overcharged by about $40.
Absolutely Horrible
We made reservations for this restaurant 2 weeks in advance and confirmed over telephone that we were good to go. When we arrived, we were told that our reservation was set for a different date that had already passed, and we could not be seated for 30 minutes to an hour. An hour later, we still had not been seated and were addressed/treated as if the mistaken reservation was a mess-up on our behalf. After being talked to as if we did everything wrong, we were guaranteed the table we requested within 2 additional hours. Three hours later, we were finally seated but not where we requested. Even though our requested table was available before a walk-in party, whose reservation was made during our first hour of waiting, was seated there, we were uncomfortably seated in a walk-way at 6 small oval tables that were pushed together and had been open for the past 30 or so minutes. When seated, we did not have a server approach our table for 30 minutes, not even to take our drink orders. I found and spoke with the manager again, and our orders were taken another 30 minutes later. We waited an hour for our food just to be served incorrectly and sent back for corrections. This was an overall horrible experience and we will not be returning. The manager on duty very noticeably lacked management skills as we were not the only party having a terrible experience. Had we not travelled 2 hours in multiple vehicles to get there, we would have searched for somewhere else to celebrate our birthday. The only good thing out of this was the birthday song, dance, and desert but it could not be enjoyed due to all the events previously mentioned.
Worst experience of my life!
Where do I start? It was horrible. The server was nice but the chef was rude. I advised my food was wrong and she started screaming telling me what I ordered. It felt like I was about to be attacked. She fussed almost 10 straight minutes about why my food should be right, when clearly it wasn’t. I have never been screamed at by a chef. Also we had reservations. They ignored us and sat other people as if we were not sitting there waiting. It was so confusing with their seating system and the way the hostess handled business. This was the worst restaurant that I have ever experienced. I don’t know which was worse, the chef or the seating process. Save yourself a horrible experience and go somewhere else.
Everyone was awesome
10/10 Omg from the host to the staff every thing was on point my daughter enjoyed her 10 th birthday We most definitely will be back !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need more mangers like Ms. Tammy
Mrs. Tammy the manger and Darius was the best people to ever come in contact with!!!! They made our experience wonderful!!!! This manager Tammy was magnificent!!!
Hostess is rude and unprofessional
We arrived at 10:20 and the hostess told us they were closed. We told her my daughter just wanted dessert but she said no only to go shakes. The restaurant closes at 11 pm and they wouldn’t seat us at 10:20. Never going back! Hostess is rude!
Nice atmosphere
The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool. Definitely a place to have a good time at. The drinks and food were good as well; however, it was a bit overpriced. Shoutout to Meg behind the bar. She was awesome!

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
