SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa Newport Beach Reviews
Food: Got the "Trust Me" set course and the food was great.
Sushi rice was warm and fish had great texture. A bit on the pricier side from a pure food perspective, so not the best value, but fair for a typical trendy spot. Although, they do offer a free meal on your bday, as long as you have checked in durin
First, the staff is so kind.
The location is perfect for a quick bite. Beautiful food & reasonably priced in comparison to other places I've dined. I highly recommend the lobster hand roll & the dungess blue crab hand roll. They did NOT disappoint. Looking forward t
The food is amazing of course that's no surprise.
Kazunori takes great pride in the food and it shows. The prices are great and they do not allow tipping as they take care of their employees. This really should the be norm. The downside to this location is they are ALWAYS busy so be prepared to wait

Me and my friend came here on a Wednesday night.
We didn't mind the wait at all, 1 hour wasn't too crazy. I would say this is definitely overhyped. Some comments I've read did mention that since the tip was included, the servers didn't do too much. Sadly, I do agree with that b

Fantastic sushi! And not overpriced, especially for what you get. My husband & I came here the other night for an anniversary dinner and it was probably the best sushi I've had in CA, but honestly i don't get sushi super often. Ambi

Typical for a CDM Restaurant: upscale vibe & expensive prices. They have high quality sushi here but it's pretty basic. The lines have died down a bit since they first opened and you'd be waiting for hours. I decided to try getting
My experience here was reminiscent of a omakase in Japan.
Very fresh fish, no need for soy sauce. I liked the entire tasting menu. Zero complaints. Chefs kiss! Love the crispy seaweed on the hand roll as they come out as soon as they are made. Our server was prompt and attentive. The facilities were clean.
Sugarfish never disappoints.
It's easily one of the best price-to-quality ratios you'll find for sushi anywhere. The fish is consistently fresh, clean, and delicious. The menu is intentionally simple -- no frills, just well-executed classics that let the fish speak fo

Happy to have another sushi place in CDM.
Fresh fish, great set-price menus! Have been several times. However, they add so much salt to the sushi rice that it really puts a damper on the experience. For me, it'll never be a great sushi place because of that. I've never had such

the service is a little slow but they are very friendly. the tables are a little tight and it can get loud but the experience is still enjoyable

My boyfriend and I went yesterday and put our names down for first available at 5:30 pm with the host. We asked if they would send us a confirmation text but they said they don't do that and will only text us when we are near the top of the wait
I was the first in the door at the restaurant today.
I ordered a Trust Me to go and I thought he m said it'll be 15 minutes. Full transparency, I couldn't really hear him, but I figured that was what he said because how long could one order take? I was first order in. Imagine my surprise when
Very great food here.
It is small so the wait can be long. But the quality and ambience is definitely worth it once you're seated and well fed. Definitely recommend the multiple course meal if you're in the Newport area!
"Don't Think, Just Eat.
Trust Me" is the order I place here. A variety of sashimi, nigiri and hand rolls. Always fresh and tasty. Always a crowd when I visit, this spot is with the wait. Set up similarly as other locations with the sushi bar, tables, chairs and window
I have to say consistency from all locations.
People in Corona Del Mar have caught on, it's as popular here as the LA locations. They are always busy and be prepared for a long wait, sometimes 2 hours. It's worth it u less you're starving when you walk up. All the rolls are amazin

Trust me light. $25 was a nice meal for me with a smaller appetite. All items were very good. Nozawa super dry sake $14. Small bottle, very light like a flavored water. It was a nice palette cleanser between items. You get a nice plate of edamame
Amazing small Restaurant Overdelivers
There are no reservations. Ergo, we had to wait for 30 minutes and the place is small and packed. They give you paper towels. Yet, the service was attentive and fast but not too fast. The food was to die for. We had the trust me menu with some
