I will definitely be back here. Good reasonable price and a sizable portion leaves you quite satisfied. The sushi is of great value and quality and there were quite a few standouts. I like the crowd here which when I went, was quite friendly. The ambiance is somewhat lacking and bare but I donโt mind much since itโs so low key and lay back. Love the location and almost feels hidden behind the university which it is located next to.

Chef Masashi Ito never fails to deliver with expertise and high end ingredients.
One of the most delicious omakase you can find in New York City.
If u are seriously serious about sushi...
The best omakase i have had. Unadulterated sushi for serious fans only. Outstanding. Worth the price for sushi foodies.
Be the first to ReplyGreat, but don't expect too much food
Great simple sushis in Japanese style - simple toppings at a small dining area (too noisy when full). In general food was precisely good, but not too exciting. Not too much food for a NYC omakase. Expensive sake list an very reduced wine options. Great overall quality.

Got recommended to check this place out by a friend who knew the west coast version was excellent. I was really impressed by every aspect of the meal experience.
The sushi was outstanding and took us to places rarley visited. Quite a journey.
Excellent service from making and confirming the reservation through to the meal service itself. Precision in every respect. The sake was incredible too.
The prices are high but you get what you pay for here. Highly recommend.
Unbelievable sushi!
Finally this place is on TA to be reviewed!
We've had an amazing omakase experience (there is no ร la carte menu) at Sushi Zo in their recently opened location in NYC. You need to reserve well in advance, because the spot is tiny, about 10 seats only if I recall correctly, and most of them at the sushi bar. The restaurant is bright and airy, and you could enjoy the art of the sushi masters without any barriers.
Sushi is absolutely excellent! Most of the fish comes directly from Japan, and this makes a huge difference. Every sushi piece is prepared with extreme care, flavored with original and delicious Japanese dressings and explained with accurate details from the chef. You won't need to add a drop of soy sauce or wasabi.
It is expensive, but appropriate to the outstanding quality of food.
Absolutely recommended if you wish to live an authentic sushi dinner.
