SW Steakhouse Las Vegas Reviews
We arrived at SW on a Sunday and had the greatest
We arrived at SW on a Sunday and had the greatest experience. It was my first time going, and I was with a group who had been before. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, and we had a table facing the outside, so we got a great view of the show happening out by the water. Our waiter Anthony was fantastic. Even though it was busy that night, he always made sure we had everything we needed and that we were taken care of. We ordered the tomahawk steak, which was excellent quality and cooked perfectly. We added the Oscar style with asparagus and king crab, and it was a great choice. I'm really glad we shared everything because it was a lot of food. The cream corn brûlée was something new for me and I loved it since it was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The whipped mashed potatoes were creamy and full of flavor, and the king crab tater tots were packed with real chunks of crab and tasted amazing. We also added a Maine Lobster, which was a nice bonus to the meal. We had so many delicious dishes to try at the table, and the portions made it easy to share and even take home leftovers. Overall, the food, service, and view made this a memorable night. I can't wait to go back.
I came here for my ten year anniversary.
Husband and I studied the menu before coming here as we were looking forward to trying it. I want to start off by saying that the service here is definitely 5 stars. We had made a reservation to sit outside by the lake of dreams and they accommodated us. They even offered me a chair for my purse. Love touches like this. We had a waiter and a server dedicated for drinks and for water. We noticed our silverware and plate had stuff stuck to them and they rapidly replaced them. They check in to make sure everything that hits your table is to your liking. The complimentary pretzel bread was warm soft and delicious. Great way to start dinner. We ordered a boneless ribeye medium. The cook on it was good and it came with complimentary sauces such as bbq, horseradish, and smoked chimichurri. The chimichurri was the best one. The sides were ordered were the king crab tots, wild mushrooms, Gruyère Mac and the potatoes au gratin. Out of all the sides, the best one was the king crab tots. The rest were somewhat bland. We ordered the chocolate cookie soufflé to share and it was just okay. The best dessert ended up Being the complimentary truffles. They were delicious! The lake of dreams also was a great addition to dinner. I only give it a 3 because other than the steak, everything else was just okay. I'm still glad we tried this place and maybe other dishes are better but for the price point, I was expecting it everything to have more flavor. Def try it at least once and see for yourself.
Seated us quickly in the lounge even without a reservation.
Roasted chicken and bread were so good. Mac and cheese was also great. My chopped salad was good but nothing to write home again. Atmosphere was fantastic and service was perfect.

Food was amazing Service top notch especially since its coming from Steve Wynn. Ambiance the best sitting lake side-- make sure you request it! Terrific
The food was delicious.
The service was amazing we were very catered too. The vibe was nice They accommodated us after dinner to sit outside with our drinks to watch show.
Experience started off rocky.
We checked in for our 7:30 reservation a little early so we waited in the lounge and ordered drinks there. At 7:30 we got a text that our table was ready and escorted outside, however when we got there the hostess said our table was already seated and had us wait 15 minutes in the heat for nothing, disappeared, and someone else finally ended up taking us back inside, which was disappointing since we had hoped to sit by the fountain. This was strange especially since all the sections were open and clearly empty tables, and we had also had reservation. Our drinks from the lounge were unable to be transferred to our table because we didn't have a table yet when they arrived. The food made up for the unpleasant experience at the beginning. Our busser Jian was wonderful and so attentive. When he packed up our leftovers and we said we would like to keep the house bread, he was kind and thoughtful enough to give us a fresh house bread to take home. I appreciated that a lot because there are steakhouses on the Strip that do not even provide house bread. Cocktails were amazing and we had the best Moscato from the dessert menu. Ambiance was good. No tiny two-top tables that can't fit the food that is ordered. Everything was spacious. It was busy and lively for a Wednesday but never seemed too hectic. House Bread 10/10 Corn Soup 10/10 Golden Yukon Potato Puree 7/10 Baby Broccoli 8/10 Boneless Ribeye 10/10 Filet Mignon 10/10
Me and my grandmother ate here at SW back in April and we
Me and my grandmother ate here at SW back in April and we had one of the best meals ever. I really don't understand why SW only has 4.1 stars, without a doubt it should be a 5. If you ask locals of Las Vegas what the best steakhouse is, 80% of them will say: "SW steakhouse!!" And I can see why. As an appetizer you are served some pretzel bread, which is soft, warm, and buttery. You also get some garlic butter to go with your pretzel bread, which makes it 5x better. I got an iced tea with some cane sugar syrup and let me tell you, that is the freshest tasting best tea I have ever had. It has that hot tea leafs-flavor, but it's iced. Well done! We consider ourselves to be steak connoisseurs so we of course got steak. We both got the Kobe beef, which without a doubt is the best steak we both have ever had. It is tender, juicy, and the marbling makes a big difference. With your Kobe you are served a soy sauce, but in my opinion the steak on its own is too good to put any sauce on it. We also got the Mac and cheese (without bread crumbs) and the corn brûlée as our sides. The Mac and cheese was great, but the corn brûlée was the surprise for today. It's like crème brûlée, but with corn. Possibly one of the best food inventions ever made lol. And for dessert we got the bananas foster cheesecake. The cheesecake is a soft cheesy perfection, which pairs well with the caramel and bananas. Our server (Ryan) and everyone who helped out was excellent. He was constantly coming around to check on us, and drink and menu lady (we gave them names) was always around to fill up drinks. I personally like the decor of the restaurant. Every 30 minutes they have a water light show at the waterfall. There is a huge bar at the entrance, and many places to sit while you're waiting on your table. MAKE SURE YOU GET RESERVATIONS EARLY. It is highly unlikely that you'll get a table without a reservation, and even with a reservation, you may have to wait a couple minutes for your table to be ready.
I attended a private event at this spot.
It was a dinner with food pairing. We started off with a shared appetizer of seafood. The food items were prepped ahead of time for the consumers to be able to quickly eat and remove any shell or outer layer. The welcome cocktail was a Royal Salute Old Fashioned. I opted for the SW chopped salad for the next course and along with this they serves the Royal Salute 21. The service and precision that the staff had was amazing since the dinner event had a lot of moving pieces. For the next course, I got the Filet Mignon. Cooked to perfection for this item. This course had a few options for sides: market veggies, potato puree, and wild mushrooms. This was also accompanied by another offering from Royal Salute. The final course was the dessert--gelato for people that opted for a different dessert. I also saw that there was a sliced chocolate cake. This was paired with the Royal Salute 26. For the final pour, we tried the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute. The ambiance was nice and I loved that we were in our own private dining area for a more intimate affair. The service was on point and we got our paired options and courses in a timely manner. At times it got a bit loud but it added to the atmosphere. I honestly loved all the courses (flavors on the food and the paired options, but will definitely come back when I have the chance, so I can take advantage of the breathtaking outdoor views.
This place always hits.
My friend and I had a great dinner. I ordered the sea bass and we shared a salad and truffle fries. The sea bass was delicious, one of the best I've had. The truffle fries were good too, but a bit too heavy for my personal taste. I don't remember which salad we got, but it wasn't anything special. Our server was SO nice and friendly, and just had a great energy to him. The ambiance is beautiful, as is everything in the Wynn. Minus one star because we made a reservation over 1 month in advance (maybe close to 1.5 months in advance) for an outside table, and they didn't give it to us.
My wife and I ate there Sunday evening.
I must say our meal was exceptional. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Our server, "Fido" , was very accommodating and had a wonderful personality . I will definitely eat there the next time we visit Vegas. You won't be disappointed !
A+ for SW
We loved this meal. It was worthy of its reputation. Katy and Edward took extremely good care of us-they were total pros-and knew the menu. Our reservation was early so we enjoyed the ambiance with the light in the gorgeous space. We ordered a filet mignon, New York strip, Maryland crab cakes, jumbo chilled shrimp, Mac and cheese ( amazing) and baby roasted cauliflower( I was not expecting the cauliflower buds to be so tiny-delicious nonetheless). For desert we had chocolate ice cream ( we got three scoops!) and crème brûlée (superb-served with berries, little short bread cookies and fresh flowers). The steaks were delicious, though I had asked for medium well- a tiny portion of my steak was too pink-but I overlooked it. The brioche pretzel bread that they serve in the beginning is unusual, but tasty and hot. The appetizers were both excellent-the chilled jumbo shrimp was served on a bed of ice. The Gin and Tonic was made to order with a choice of gin. Between the amazing service and delectable food-This was a lovely experience from start to finish.
Great place for a special occasion
Our first time at SW and we were impressed. The food and service were outstanding. We sat at a table on the patio so we could watch the Lake of Dreams show while we dined which added to the experience. We would definitely return.
Please improve your menu and cut down on Salt
Not the best experience unfortunately, seating was excellent outside but food not so. Wife ordered onion soup that had to be sent back as it was inedible server boasted on about chopped salad so we ordered that and exactly as described it was salad that was chopped. Not sure why we expected something special. Main course for my wife was chicken which was nice but there was so much of it question needs to be asked why server pushed us to also order sides too. My crab cake was nice but steak ‘fillet mignon grass fed” was over seasoned and half was left on the plate and no questions asked by server as to why. Also sides were way too much and also left . We tried most restaurants at Best in Class Hotel Wynn . Wing Lei is absolutely perfect specially on service . Wish I could have said same of SW.
A MUST WHEN IN VEGAS
SW steakhouse is one of my family's most favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and the steaks are very good quality. The "lake of dreams" show is fun to watch and when the show is not running the view is very pretty.
Terrible expirience al SW Las Vegas
Terrible service! The staff are very rude and they don’t even think about giving your requests a thought even though you make requests a month in advance. Definitely do not recommend! There are a lot better restaurants to dine at in Las Vegas!
Perfect Steakhouse Experience
The only complaint we can make is that we filled up too quickly and didn’t get to enjoy everything. Luxurious even by Vegas standards. Patio seating for free Lake of Dreams show recommended.
Good experience but overpriced
First time in Vegas in many years, being from New York area. This steakhouse was recommended by a friend so we gave it a chance. We had a table outdoors, it was about 70 degrees but the restaurant had heaters blasting, which made our dinner uncomfortable. The air conditioning inside the restaurant was cooler than outdoor patio, yet for some reason they had heaters on. Our service was great, the waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was very average to above average. The porterhouse we ordered was ok but not great. Overall the restaurant is ok but very overpriced
A+ Food and service!!!
We always stay at Wynn and SW is an amazing streak joint! Not only is the food and ambiance amazing but their service is also stellar. I always order the Oscar style fillet and you can never go wrong with that. Mental note - servers in Vegas reply solely on tips so to feed their families so if you can't afford 20%, it may be best for everyone if you avoid nice places like this :)
Carpaccio - becareful. ordering if you are looking for traditional dish. If you like mayo and parm... this is for you.
Many good things - the onion, mushroom, brisket soup was outstanding. One HUGE miss for me was the carpaccio. I order this dish as I love thin slices of excellent raw meat. I was told by the waiter that there would be some paresan on the dish wihch is not unusual. What was awrul wa that the entire plate of meat was covered with a thin layer of mayonairs and the covered in parmesan. You could barely see the meat. I had to scrap it all off just to make it ecible. My friends loved their meat courses. - veal , tenderloin and strip. My dish was a sad miss.
Omg this was hands down the best food ever.
The steak melts in your mouth. The shows are so fun. You can easily share a steak and two sides with two people. Our bill was $160. They even have purse chairs.
I had dinner here last night, and I'm not sure if it was
I had dinner here last night, and I'm not sure if it was the timing or if they were busy, but it's different from my previous visit. We were seated within a few minutes of our reservation time. However, it took forever to get water, our order, and the glass, which smelled like fish, so we had to switch it. The menu changed, but like I said, it could have been the timing. But from my first visit and even 2 in between, service was always excellent; however, this one was bad from the minute we sat down
Had to update my review from many years ago after
Had to update my review from many years ago after consecutive OUTSTANDING experiences at SW. Wife and I come to SW every year for a celebratory dinner in the summer. It's our most extravagant meal of the year, and we do it because we have come to expect nothing short of excellence. That did not change, much to our delight. We waited for a desired table inside with a view of the Lake of Dreams, which a charismatic male host arranged. Then our server, Shannon, took great care of us. Of course the food was masterful - we split a crab cake appetizer and then had steaks. For the second year in a row the kitchen made a flawless bone-in ribeye to my picky specifications. My wife's filet was also perfect. Look, spending a lot of money on dinner is not what everyone wants to do but at least you know walking in the door that you'll experience your money's worth at SW.
Good food.
Very mediocre service. Very high prices. The prices don't match the service. I don't plan to eat here again. Had a group of 12 last night. Disappointing.

Friday evening dinner here was delicious and the service was exceptional. Caviar, filet mignon, macaroni, and cheese and corn pudding. The view of the waterfall was mesmerizing.

Had the best meal here celebrating both my daughter and my birthday. I it was our first time and I chose SW because of reviews that mentioned they accommodate gluten free diners. We were seated outside and although Vegas was hot, we were not overheated. I was offered my own gluten free bread rolls and our server was knowledgeable about what menu items I could have. We ordered the scallop entree as our appetizer. It was cooked perfectly! My daughter and I shared the massive porterhouse cooked medium well with a wonderful char. Hubby had the rib eye and our sides were the mashed potatoes and mushrooms. We ate all of our food! Our stomachs were so happy. I don't get the feeling of contentment and enjoyment of a really good meal that often, but this really did it for us. They offered a celebratory gluten free chocolate cake like dessert that was also very delicious! Definitely would return again. Service, food, ambiance were all exceptional.
First off there was excellent service and a willingness to
First off there was excellent service and a willingness to accommodate. Wifey and I shared a dinner meal that was very filling as a half portion. Huge baked bread started our meal. I started with a half chopped salad which had toasted onion strings on top. Mixed together it was delicious. We shared the 18 ounce boneless rip eye steak which was sliced and perfectly medium rare. Wifey order a Maine lobster tail to go with the steak. They cut that in half but I gave wifey my half so she had a whole tail. We ordered the side of au gratin potatoes which were so creamy and delicious it is definitely the side to choose. A complementary birthday cake was provided at the end of our meal. I would order the same dishes again next time at Wynn in Las Vegas.
This place checks off just about everything.
Great place to dress up and go out to. Food was incredible and cooked perfectly, waiters were alert, and observant. Best place to sit is outside or by the window! I will be back to this place! The Kobe Beef is also a must try!!!!
If I could give this restaurant 100 stars I would.
The service is absolutely amazing, second to none. We loved everything about this place from start to finish. My girlfriends and I were on a girls trip from New Orleans and made reservations in advance. When I say SW Steak House is a must when visiting Las Vegas believe me. My friends said the steaks were cooked perfectly and delicious. Other friend had chicken it was also delicious she said. I had oysters Rockefeller, sweet corn and crab soup and short rib ravioli all delicious. Now let's talk about that cheese cake OMG. Ryan Sinclair is our new best friend. Our servers were the best in the business.
Firstly, I want to give a shout out to our waiter team Cory
Firstly, I want to give a shout out to our waiter team Cory and Leila(?) They were both so attentive and lovely. Fantastic wines, our dinner's were both wonderful! They even catered to my not eating meat. We've eaten there many times and it's always such a wonderful experience
Spectacular!
Outstanding from start to finish! Blown away by every detail! Staff superb, entertainment outstanding and the food spectacular. Crab cakes deserve a special mention. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and this place is worth every penny! Thanks guys, we will be back when next in Vegas!
SW Steak was nearly perfect.
Overall we enjoyed our meal at SW Steak. The jumbo prawns with a spicy sauce was excellent. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly but maybe slightly over seasoned for our taste, a minor criticism. The service was excellent and a lively atmosphere does make for a good evening meal.
Just Fantastic! 5 Stars
So to begin, we planned to spend some $$ at dinner and SW will require that. However, at the end of the night we did not mind at all. The atmosphere is great, the service was spot on, and the food was just outstanding. We started with the Ossetra Caviar then moved onto the short rib ravioli and chopped salad for starters. For the main course my wife had the Filet and I had the Snake River Farms US Wagyu New York Strip. I have to say that the US Wagyu Strip was just amazing. Being from TX, I appreciate a great steak, and this was spectacular. We wrapped up the night by splitting the Creme Brulee and it was great. Lastly, I brought my own bottle of Barolo and just paid the $50 corkage fee (Standard for Vegas). If you have a favorite in your cellar, this is a great alternative to having to pay the typical mark up. However, be aware that you can only bring wine that is not carried on the restaurant wine list so check before you go. All in all just a lovely evening and we will definitely return during our next visit to Vegas.
Great experience visit. Lots of 100+$ steak options
Great view, great service, great steaks. Very pricey, but a great experience. Sometimes I wonder how great a steak can get. Had a great New York strip, wife had filet. Both were great…but not life changing. This spot is about the experience as a whole. Service is really standout.
EAT the STEAK!
For a prestigious steakhouse, it's embarrassing to write such a review. The wait staff is efficient and did allow for us to enjoy our cocktails. We ordered fish and I could smell it before it was put before me. I took one tiny taste and removed it. It was spoiled. How could a chef not be aware of this??? They took it back and we shared a steak. My bad as it is a steakhouse. It was excellent. The salads were to have beets. There were few. It should have had a few nuts to add to the texture. I was underwhelmed and upset.
Really disappointing
Firstly, we arrived super early for our reservation as had requested a table outside. Lots of people who come in way after us was seated outside, we was then told there was no more tables outside. However, credit where it’s due, a worker then told us to wait at another table and eventually we was seated outside. The bread is lovely, best part of the meal. We had the short rib ravioli to start and it was cold, however we didn’t want to complain and we had already complained about the seating situ. We shared a steak and 2 sides for main. Steak was fine, cooked nicely, but again the sides were slightly warm at best. For desert we had the rocky road, again the brownie in the middle was stone cold. Had about 5 different waiters all night, had to ask where our drinks were twice after waiting 30+mins for two drinks. Maybe it was an off night but really disappointing and wish we had chosen a different steakhouse. Wouldn’t recommend
Excellent resturant
Bella the hostess at SW was very helpful. From helping us with our reservation to making sure we got a nice table. The food was cook perfectly. The shows at the restaurant are super fun. Service was excellent. High recommend.
Amazing Dining Experience at SW Steakhouse
This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our servers, Bebe and Anthony, were absolutely amazing! They were both professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. The food was as outstanding as the service we received. I cannot recommend this place enough! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Very bad table position
Our first visit and did not know we needed to specify a table with a view..we were out on a service table that was knocked by staff and public in the public walk way to and from tables tFo bathroom and waiting clients. Good was good and the service was good, but the whole experience as ruined by the constant noise and bumping on the chairs .. very pricey for the bad exoerince
My favorite restaurant in Vegas! Consistent food, great
My favorite restaurant in Vegas! Consistent food, great service and relaxing ambiance. Highly recommend their filet mignon, ravioli and espresso martinis
Used to be Great but now not so great
SW is our go to Steakhouse when visiting Vegas, however on the night of 1/19/24 it was not great. We have been five times over last 10-12 years and tell all of our friends it is the best in Vegas, not anymore. The prime ribeye was good as expected for $100, but the béarnaise was below par, lackluster without enough tang and tarragon. The service was just ok when in the past it has been great. Our waiter was good, but supporting help missing in action- water not refilled, butter not brought to table. Caesar salad was very average- simple chopped romaine, no culinary attention or inventiveness. There were a ton of staff available, but they were talking in groups and not paying attention to their customers. The pretzel brioche bread was good but not as good as their previous bread basket with assorted breads. Just seemed like it went downhill with not enough attention from manager and chef.
I loved the free bread they gave you here with the butter.
The steak are really good too. I order the salad , king crab & lobster tails. Service is on point, dress code requires. Place are fancy. Good for date night. Make rsvp ahead cus it always full.
Food: AMAZING.
I came here on this trip to try the bone marrow. It was okay! The bread was too crunchy, and not enough marrow for that bone size. Presentation was impressive. Will I be back for food- of course, I love it here! Will I order the bone marrow, unlikely. The steak was the best I have ever had, and the cream of mushroom was out of this world. Service it's at the Wynn, so service was prefect- as always! Ambiance- romantic! Plates: thin porcelain glass- I love this brand- food just tastes better when it's presented in the right dish!
Booked a table for 4 people 2 months prior to coming to
Booked a table for 4 people 2 months prior to coming to vegas also asked for table outside not only did they tell me we don't see yore request the try to sit me down in the left corner of the inside restaurant beyond not acceptable. And we come here every time we come to vegas. All hosts were very rude and not looking to help me at all. Told em Managers were busy at the moment just beyond horrible experience. RSVP number 6M3BWL5VS Maybe someone can see it and email me or call me
I thought hard about this review.
Normally I would not come to a high end steakhouse because I am frugal. I came here as a team dinner as my manager wanted to come here. I will say the food was good but in my opinion not at the price. I know you are paying for the ambiance at this location, but I am more of a foodie than a person who cares about looks. I have eaten at street food vendor to high end steak houses that supplied amazing food for the value. I will say my steak was well prepared and the funnel cakes and strawberries were the best part of the meal. Everything else was good but not amazing. The service was very good right up till dessert was delivered then we seen no one till we waved someone down to get the check which for 8 people was over $2k with tip. Would I come back. Well of course if I were not paying the bill.
Bring your appetite and your wallet! It is expected that
Bring your appetite and your wallet! It is expected that the food and service will be excellent, if Steve Wynn puts his name on it & SW Steakhouse is no exception. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu, but I would recommend the bone marrow (not pictured) and any of the filet options. Try to get an outside table, so you can enjoy the show at Lakeside
First of all our server Cory was very friendly he talked to
First of all our server Cory was very friendly he talked to us about the NFL game. He even danced and swayed as he talked to us. He also came in during our meal to check up on us and have a chat. Best waiting thank you Cory. Anyways the food itself was so delicious. You guys know that scene in Ratatouille where Remy started hallucinating after eating the combo of cheese and strawberry? That's how it felt to take a bite of anything in this restaurant, especially their New York steak, an immediate 10/10. And the appetizer breads were so addicting, once you start you can't stop it is so good, definitely spread the butter onto the bread. We were in a private space so it was overall quiet with calm music playing in the back. Except for the water lake show that happens every 30 minutes. From our view we could only hear the music and see some of the lights but i'm pretty sure that you can see the show from the main seating areas. And with our waiter Cory coming in occasionally he makes the mood of the room so much better. A big thank you to our server and all the staffs who helped our family have a great experience. I personally absolutely recommend this place!
You can expect an extraordinary cuisine and dining
You can expect an extraordinary cuisine and dining experience. It was most expensive dinner in this year but best experience of all. Definitely have a seat on the patio for the show.
So first off, extremely nice looking restaurant with
So first off, extremely nice looking restaurant with beautiful views of the fountain and you even get a show every like 15 minutes projected onto the fountain. But it was down hill from there. First course we got salad and barrata. Apparently it was brought to the wrong table which is nbd except no one came by not even one time in 20 minutes to say hey, your food is taking a long time because of blah blah blah. Then we got our main course of steak and my wife got fish. I paid $300 for wagyu and I'll be honest, have had better tasting steak at a regular steak house. Just not flavorful at all. And my wife's overpriced fish, it may as well have been talapia. Dessert was the best part and that's sad for a steakhouse. Oh, and the waiter stopped by at the very end of the meal just to see how it was, no one came by at all during the whole meal except twice to fill uo waters and that's it. I guess I was expecting more for the price and the fact I had one of the best experiences the night before at Mizumi so was expecting equal quality of food and service.
The service was terrible even for a normal casual
The service was terrible even for a normal casual restaurant. When you go to a fine dining steakhouse, you expect staff to be attentive, bring you water, check in during your meal, etc., unfortunately our waiter did none of that. My husband ordered his filet medium and it came out well done, finally when we flagged down the waiter he took it back to the kitchen to get it redone and the new steak came out medium rare. We are locals and have been to SW before and was one of our favorites, but I'm not sure we will ever come back. We have too many other favorites on the strip that are more consistent and better service.
Not Good for Vegans
I ate at SW in the Wynn today based on reviews that mentioned a vegan menu even a vegan tasting option. Upon arrival tonight they not only didn’t have a vegan menu the only thing they could offer me was an expensive salad that was 98% plain lettuce mixed with mustard and some overpriced mashed potatoes or french fries. Our bill for 2 people was $150. I couldn’t even finish the salad because how much plain lettuce can you eat. I left hungry. Not recommended.
