Taste Community Restaurant Fort Worth Reviews from The Last Year
Everything my party tasted was excellent.
Carrot soup was tasty. My salmon on Brussels sprouts and shaved asparagus was perfect (except could have left out the few green peas) Cake cake dessert...so good Thank you for great food and your service to the. Comm
This place is a gem in the rough.
It's such a humble place to be in and to hear what they do. Price is set at what you can pay and the food is great. It's a must recommend if you are ok with the whole environment set up. Will come back here again if I ever come back to this location.
Great food! Our multi-generational family all enjoyed it.
The decor is friendly and inviting. My niece said it was a "happy " place
This place is disgusting, do not ever come here! this place

This has to be one of the most amazing restaurants I've
This has to be one of the most amazing restaurants I've EVER been to!!!! The menu changes with the seasons so there is a new menu at the beginning of every season. The food is innovative and fresh and delicious! I have spent $40 to $70 for comparable dishes anywhere else, but guess what? You pay what you can! Your check comes at $0!! You get to decide what you want to pay! Then, you don't tip, because all the wait staff are volunteers! The restaurant is run by 80% VOLUNTEERS!! Wait there's more! This restaurant has a culinary program that teaches cooking skills and helps people find jobs in hospitality industry!! In the back of the restaurant by the patio they have their own garden that supplements their fresh herbs and vegetable supply. There is such an amazing diversity of people that come here and the atmosphere is beautiful! I cannot say enough about this place! If you need a good meal, come by. If you want to come support this organization, please stop by. You might even be inspired to volunteer here!
I brought my mom here for her Birthday lunch and to support
I brought my mom here for her Birthday lunch and to support the restaurant. It was out second visit but it's been over a year. I definitely recommend making a reservation for this popular "volunteer " restaurant! We had friendly service and the food was good but not great. It did take about 15 minutes for me to get my hot tea, guess the station was backed up. I didn't mind since I was with my mom and no in a big rush. I like the simple menu with fewer options that we can decide quickly and get the order in. I like that we can help feed other people by leaving a little extra $$ if possible but you pay what you can afford here!! It's definitely helping the community and feeding folks good food.
if you are a lover of avocado toasts.
.. you have not lived until you've consumed this toast. absolutely no words to really describe how perfect of an avocado toast this is. ( there is so much avocado on this ) and they use a dressing for the greens that is slightly salty and compliments the avocado perfectly. i've been dreaming about this toast ever since. i'll make the 4 hour drive just to eat here again. ( i do advise calling to make a reservation, makes your life easier. )
Great Place to Visit
Nice atmosphere, food is freshly made and vegan or not, you will love it!!! Price is great, based on donations, that cam be a quarter or less, or more!!
I really wanted to like this place.
Went there twice. Nice building. Lots of light. Great location. Friendly servers. Note: make a reservation online or you might be waiting a while. Also better to go as a group of 2 or more so you can sit with people you know. On my first visit an angry man (mentally ill?) slammed his fist on the table. I was told he was mad because he thought he had been skipped over in seating. His continued weirdness scared the poor woman sitting across from him. I reported the problem and promptly left without even being seated. Second trip: I had a reservation and got seated right away. As a single woman I do not feel comfortable sitting with strangers. There were some empty small 2-seat tables but they said that since I was only one person, I had to be seated in the "community" . At least they put me next to a woman, not a man ... but after 5 minutes of her wet coughing, I discreetly asked to be moved. They seemed a bit annoyed but they did finally put me at a 2 seat table. Just glad they didnt seat anyone else across from me Nice concept but I was very uncomfortable with the seating arrangements. Also, the food was not great. My wagyu burger was thin, overcooked and tasteless except for the grilled pineapple ring on top. The spring vegetables were mushy and greasy. Server forgot my dessert but no great loss. Didnt really want it after tasting the entree/side. The food I had was subpar. I gave them $10 anyway but wish I had gone to Chipotle instead and gotten a really good meal where I could choose my own table . I definitely will not be going back to Taste Project/Kitchen ..... Good luck to them.

This is an amazing place! Everything from the OJ (I'm picky about my OJ, this was sooo delicious) to the coffee, potatoes and breakfast sandwich were fantastic. Service from the volunteers is great and they are very friendly and feel like you would want them to be your friend.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
