The Adolphus Dallas Reviews from The Last Year
The Adolphus Rocks!
Fantastic hotel! We brought our volleyball team and had a great time. Rooms were beautiful. Enjoyed the food and the bar was a blast. There is a ton of space to relax with friends and family. The customer service was excellent - it is clear the staff aim to please the people visiting. A definite must if you stay in Dallas!
Historic Hotel - A Must Stay when in Dallas
Historic Hotel located in downtown Dallas close to all the major sightseeing areas. Rooms are large and sufficient. Our King Room had a nice comfortable king bed and a small desk and writing area to the side of the bed. Since our room was on a lower floor, there wasn’t much of a view to look out of the window which was basically a dirty wall outside. But the hotel itself is very nice. The hotel offers guided tours of the property as it’s a historical site. But you need to enquire at the front desk and register before hand. Also the lobby area is a pretty upscale place with many guests and visitors in elegant evening attire. If you are on a weekend trip and just want to enjoy a drink in casual attire, you might feel a little out of place in the evenings. The AT&T Discovery District is right across the street from the hotel. We stayed only one night as we were on a weekend trip to Dallas while on a business trip to Austin. But the next time we visit Dallas, we will stay here for more days to experience the hotel better.
Amazing Experience!
I am a first timer in Dallas and this hotel made me feel so welcome. The ambiance is incredible like a hotel in the movie Grand Budapest hotel! Jenna at the front desk was amazing and informative. She greeted me with a big smile and gave me many great recommendations to check out in the area. I will be telling my friends about this place!
Front desk rock stars
We stayed at the Adolphus for our wedding weekend and the entire establishment was beautiful and very well crafted. I’d love to give a special shoutout to Jenna and Grant at the front desk, they emulated supreme service and managed a busy desk very well!
Speedy and Exemplary Service
The hotel was so accommodating for my wedding group. Pedro and Ethan in bell services were great at helping us get all of our stuff to our cars. We had so much stuff leftover from my wedding and they made it as easy as possible!
The Adolphus
The hotel is beautiful! Loved everything about it and was particularly thankful for the two king beds!! I specifically I want to thank Jay! He took the time to track down a lost item for me after I had been told it was not recovered. Jay was so kind and helpful!! Thank you!
Best Weekend Away
Fabian Rivero was amazing to deal with. We had an accident with our mini bar and he came right up and took care of us!! The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean lots of places within walking distance around hotel. Everyone at the hotel was hopeful from the men at the front door to the ones behind the counter.
Anniversary
Everyone and everything was great. We were treated like royalty. Jenna went above and beyond!!! I would recommend any and everyone to come and experience the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas Texas
Best Night Ever!!
Marife y Maybilis give the best service ever!! The food was spectacular and the service was the top of the line!! I will definitely be back!!
Great time and nice vibe! Alfonso was very accommodating.
He took our group pictures and made sure we loved them. He also made sure we had enough tea and water. Great experience!
There is no better bar/vibe in Dallas! I come to Dallas
There is no better bar/vibe in Dallas! I come to Dallas often and explore purposely seeking out the best spots. If you're looking for a solid, classy, high-end spot to enjoy a great cocktail or a lively hotel bar scene... then "JP" is your top notch bartender and the Aldophus hotel is second-to-none in the downtown Dallas area! (4 different bars all in one hotel!)

I bought a resort day pass for the pool and I was not disappointed! The rooftop pool is gorgeous and it wasn't that crowded on a Friday. They have a bar that servers food as well. I hope to come back and stay in the actual hotel!
Alfonso was an amazing server and went the extra mile
Alfonso was an amazing server and went the extra mile making us feel special and at home! I absolutely recommend their High Tea!
The rooms are dated.
The shower was adequate-ish. The bathroom sink's faucet barely extended into the basin, so water got everywhere when it was used. The gym was pretty good. The big issue is sound. Downtown is full of the rudest people blasting music and riding in the most obnoxious vehicles imaginable. The building's sound insulation is not equal to the task, to say the least. Especially on the weekend, this hotel is an intensely unpleasant place to be. Apparently, most of Dallas should be arrested. And they all congregate in front of the adolphus. Addendum: it got even worse. I was overcharged at checkout and treated rudely by front desk staff (Avery and Tim). Then I was harassed by a homeless man at the valet stand at like 7 in the morning. Ultimately, this went from bad to horrific.

This review is for the High Tea in the French Room It's a go to place for special occasions with my daughters. Alfonso helped make it a wonderful experience and the tea and food are delicious!
If I could give them 10 stars I would they truly understand
If I could give them 10 stars I would they truly understand what great customer service is. Alejandro offering advice on great restaurants. The front desk checking in and out made it a pleasure young lady during the day very helpful. I was having a difficult time and see helped me so much. TheAdolphus staff really understand how to treat people. Thank you so much for making my trip memorable and most importantly feeling safe thank you big giant thank you to Wendell so kind and helpful people like this even though the room was amazingly beautiful and the roof top pool spectacular. The people like Wendell and friendly girl at The front desk make me want To come back again thank you for Your hospitality it Means everything!!!!!!
Everything 10/10 but the bathroom.
Pedro the bellhop was awesome, same with the other guy when we arrived. The staff is sweet and incredible. Bathroom sucked, issues with the door not opening and the hot water, room 533. Thank you for hosting us so well! Have a great day today..
Book NOW, you’ll be delighted!
A delight from start to finish! This property is well located to explore the delights of Dallas. The property itself has a great vibe, excellent staff and thoughtful touches throughout the common spaces and rooms. I’m picky about beds and theirs was lovey, including great pillows and a fairly dark room. Best of all is the staff helped me get back a few items I left behind through the post. I’d definitely stay here again and do consider myself picky when it comes to hotels!
Dru was such a sweet and attentive bartender.
He made sure we were enjoying our time and he was interested in conversing with us. Thank you Dru for your wonderful service!
Great care and conversation!
Kristen was a great valet hostess! Made sure myself and my friends were safe returning from our birthday celebrations in the downtown area for the first time and as we continued on throughout the night. Thank you Kristen for 10/10 experience.
Alfonso is amazing!
I had such a fun morning at the adolphus this morning. The food was so good and all the wait staff was so attentive. I really hit it off with Alfonso. So funny and he made me feel so comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this experience, it was such a treat.
Food was great
Phillip was a great server. Food came out fast, hot, and tasty. I recommend this bar to everyone. My sisters and I were in Dallas for a conference and tried it on the recommendation of the hotel driver. The experience did not disappoint. Thank you for making our experience great.
Beautiful hotel, exceptional staff!
We were in Dallas for fashion week and one of the designers recommended this hotel - we are SO glad they did. First, the hotel is historic and beautiful. We stayed in an Executive Studio and it was huge! The location downtown is convenient. There are several restaurants and the pool is really nice. But.....the biggest reason I'm happy we stayed there is the staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. As you can imagine fashion week is a little stressful for the participants - Dan, the concierge, took a huge amount of that stress away for us. I called the day before our arrival in a panic and Dan not only coordinated what I needed - he personally made sure that everything went smoothly. It was easily the best customer service I have ever received, and I could not have been more grateful for his kindness. Thank you to Dan and the Adolphus - we will stay with you anytime we're in Dallas!
Great stay for a work trip
Fantastic staff, beautiful accommodations. Loved the convenience of the coffee bar in the morning as I was running out to work meetings (delicious coffee and breakfast!) and the French Room bar was a cool place for a drink and dinner. Very helpful staff - shoutout to Jay for helping me with my bags into the Uber as I was leaving!
Burgers and bartenders
Hunter was an amazing bartender, which is rare because most of the time the bartenders never want to bartend. Rodeo has the best burgers in town. If they focused more on customer service, it will be a happier place to come to for regulars living downtown.
Negligence from hotel management is risking a one-in-a-lifetime experience for my children
Seeing a total eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wanted to make sure my children didn't miss. So a year ago I researched the best places to see the eclipse. I chose this hotel because it has a lovely roof deck from which I hoped my kids and I could see the eclipse. I carefully checked the website to ensure that there was no notice that the roof deck would be closed, and called and confirmed with the staff that we'd be able to watch the eclipse from the roof. Six months later, as I was finalizing plans, I called again, and the staff again confirmed that we could access the roof deck to view the eclipse. Finally, this week I called to see if the hotel had any special plans, Jasmine confirmed that we could use the roof deck, but didn't know whether the hotel had any special plans for the eclipse. I asked that a manager call me. Jasmine said that Crystal, the manager, would call me back. Crystal did not call. After two more calls, I was finally connected with the concierge, Dan, who told me that the roof deck would be closed on the day of the eclipse for a private party and my children and I would not be able to access it. I asked Dan several times to have a manger call me. I have not received a call. It's now only a couple weeks until the eclipse. Hotels in the area are fully booked. There are no rental cares available. Because the hotel management did not ensure that their staff had correct information, and has not communicated adequately with me, my children and I may miss this amazing event. It's been two days since I left a message for Crystal, and have not heard from her or anyone else at the property about how they are going to make this right. I am a lifetime titanium member and am generally impressed with Marriot's service. My experience with this property has been drastically different. I'm incredibly disappointed.

My friends and I went for tea.
what was given wasn't worth $75. A reasonable price would've been for $50.(4/5) Connie was terrific ! she is a people person and takes great pictures . She's amazing . 10/10
During my extended stay all throughout Dallas/Fort Worth
During my extended stay all throughout Dallas/Fort Worth this is definitely one place i'll be returning to. The bar staff at Rodeo Bar was simply amazing, be it Ignacio, RJ, or Kodiak walking me through cocktails i've never had (all were incredible) or Nate, Kier, and Mary greeting me with welcoming smiles as soon as i walked in. All of these combined with David's incredible attitude to keep things running smoothly behind the bar proved to me they're doing something right. P.S. You need to try their queso
Great old hotel.
Reminds me of the Del Coronado in San Diego. An absolute jewel in the otherwise dull Dallas downtown. Drew and the rest of the gang at the Rodeo are terrific!
This review is for the High Tea.
Come here for the ambiance and the beautiful brut rosé. The teas were fine but not great. All were refilled at the perfect pace. The servers were all kind and lovely. Where this high tea fell short for me were the food offerings. Everything looked far more beautiful than it tasted. The scones were meh, covered in coarse sugar. The thick-cut bread - I'll say it - was so dry. I'm happy the birthday girl enjoyed it.
Adolphus tea is amazing! The lobby bars are a lot of fun.
The pool scene isn't the best.
I want to start with a few facts.
I am a very frequent Titan Elite Lifetime Marriott Traveler with more than 2,000 nights over 22 years. This is my 1st non-positive review of any hotel, flight or rental car location. I also want to mention that not all this review is negative. Having stayed at some many different Marriott Properties I have established a range of what is normal/acceptable for each property type. I selected the Adolphus for our company Christmas Party. I reached out to schedule and their very initial conversation went well. I spent lots of time emailing with multiple hotel staff members trying to get clarity on items with no luck. I requested for them to call me numerous times and they did not call. I requested to speak with the GM when I wasn't getting an adequate response. The front desk essentially recommended that I should not expect a call back and highly suggested that I was wasting my time. Little did I know that the front desk staff would be so accurate about this point. There were numerous people on the email and there was a singular person in charge of making sure all the questions got answered and issues resolved. When I arrived at the hotel many things became clear in short order. The hotel was beautiful and had a very aesthetically appealing layout/design . The hotel was also much busier than other similar Marriott Autograph Properties. The hotel failed to mention they had 4 weddings scheduled for that weekend. The hotel also didn't mention they regularly get people visiting and hanging out at the hotel/restaurants/bars. Just checking into the hotel was a lengthy chore. Getting a drink from the bar was another level of difficulty. The bar staff was nice and gracious. The front desk was so busy that we were constantly stopping to help other employees and customers which was frustrating. There was basically no seating really available in the public areas except earlier in the day. The weddings had many spaces reserved so that there were really limited seating options. The decorations and ambiance was very pretty and ideal for taking memorable photographs. The meeting room we scheduled had no easily accessible power outlets without needing a 6ft extension cord. Knowing there would be limited power would have been a nice piece of information to have pre-meeting. The room was also extremely cold prompting everyone to go back up to their rooms for jackets. After about 30 mins they brought us 2 space heaters which took a few hours to warm up the space. The catering that was provided was slightly confusing to order but they delivered it timely and was worth the pricing. I brought my concerns to the hotel GM through the Marriott Complaint System. When the GM called me he made me feel very rushed in explaining my concerns. The GM also had a mildly over assertive "tone" during the conversation. The tone of someone with a forgone conclusion and was going through the motions as fast as possible. I repeatedly told the GM that I have no exact thoughts on compensation. I asked the GM to look into my concerns and take whatever action he deemed appropriate. The GM brow beat me into providing a number so I gave him a 10% but to do whatever he thought might be fair. The manager called me back a few hours later and said he talked to his staff and went through all the emails and saw no reason for any adjustment to the bill. I informed him that I don't agree with his assessment and I thought his attitude was less than professional. In conclusion I think the property is a beautiful one and I can understand why people want to have events at the location. I can see that there is some staff there that provides great service and makes you feel welcome. I can understand why many local people may stop in to eat and drink. I can also see a property that I think is overrated based on the level of service I received. I can see a property that may not give as they are so busy they have lost sight of what made them good. I can see a property that doesn't have a great ability to hold themselves accountable and is not able to evaluate their own performance accurately. There are many other great Marriott Properties that I have stayed at in Dallas. There are some things in life that don't disappoint like Niagara Falls, Mona Lisa or the Grand Canyon. The Adolphus Hotel is unfortunately disappointing on many levels.
Beautiful hotel-wowwwww.
We dined here when we first came to Dallas to look at properties. Very classy! We found out the Queen & King of England stayed here many years ago. They had a local country singer and we enjoyed happy hour at the bar area and their lounge. At night, due to the rift rafts outside, they locked the doors and you can only enter with a room key code. It make sense especially on a crazy night like NYE. Price for drinks etc can be pricey but if you want a cheaper option, go to the bar down the corner. Walking distance to a handful of awesome museums. Our friends stayed here for NYE. We enjoyed having a couple drinks here before heading to the Monarch for dinner with a view of the fireworks etc.
Perfect location, has valet in parking garage, perfect
Perfect location, has valet in parking garage, perfect views of downtown. Roof top bars with live music. They also have a cap service that makes it easy to get round Dallas without uber or rental. Something worth mentioning is that the Titanic's Piano had a twin sister, the sister is in this hotel. It's Truly a treasure and even better to hear it being played.
