A Disappointing Experience at a New Orleans Iconic Location
This venue is past its glory days. It is still crowded, but I feel that is more from traditional reputation than any current excellence. The tables are packed in so tightly that the waiters cannot always get past without bumping chairs, and the noise from other tables is distracting. The experience would be ten times better if they took out some tables. Cocktails were not good. Appetizers (bacon wrapped duck) was very good, but that turned out to be the highlight. Entrees were average or below average. We left without even trying dessert because the experience was so disappointing. We had four dinners in the French Quarter, and this was by far the least impressive.
Be the first to ReplyJazz Brunch - best so far!
We stopped in here for a Wednesday Jazz Brunch. Nice vibe. There is a courtyard and also inside seating. You can make reservations but we didn’t. Some dishes we tried: gumbo, turtle soup , shrimp pasta, shrimp étouffée (this was better at Mother’s restaurant, cornbread (huge pieces..ours was dry and crumbly), pecan pie, bread pudding, and bananas foster. It’s our fav restaurant in New Orleans so far. Our server Merlin even cared is down to return a bag we forgot. Good service and we left stuffed!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, great variety of food and drink. Many many choices of food for all tastes/diets.
We reserved this restaurant for the jazz brunch on our last day. The service was excellent from our waiter. We opted to eat inside which was great and near to the music. The food was very varied and tasty. Plenty of choice, lots of variety of drinks as-well. We would definitely recommend

Let me start by saying that I have never gone to the trouble of writing a review. People be warned. First of all it beautiful outside in the lighted court yard. I have been the New Orleans before but we took our friends from UK. Service was good. We ordered some wine and then dinner. The veal Oscar is described in the menu has a cutlet and at 40.00 should have been. But it was not a cutlet the chief came out and said we were right it was not and did we want anything else. All handled well. Then my drum fish had not brown butter as described but after a long wait and my husband going in I finally received the 4 lemons I needed. Then there were the rats running around. 4 in total. We actually laughed with the staff about them. But it was a very disappointing 250.00 dinner. But ratatouille might be on the new menu.
Be the first to ReplyGreat way to sample the local cuisine
A great way to try different local cuisines. Very tasty and fresh food buffet. Great music and courtyard was fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyCourtyard Brunch
Minus one star because it was supposed to be a jazz brunch but the band maybe played 20% of the time we were there. The court yard was beautiful and the service was really good. I enjoyed the buffet!
Be the first to ReplyGood Food and Nice Ambiance
Went for dinner and really enjoyed it. Restaurant had a nice open-air setting with twinkling lights. I had the crabcake entree with Corn Maque Choux and my wife had the Veal Oscar. We both enjoyed our meals very much; they were very tasty and cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had Bannas Foster. It was delicious and it was fun to see it being prepared tableside. Most entrees are in the $30 dollar range and the Bannas Foster was $12. There are specialty cocktails available and a good selection of wines to choose from for your meal. Our waitress was excellent, attentive and very personable. Reservations are not necessary, but it is good idea to get one. From our experience, I would recommend this restaurant for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyGreat visit for brunch
The brunch here was delicious! We sat in the courtyard and listened to live jazz music. The atmosphere was amazing. The brunch is served as a buffet with several options to choose from. I believe we paid about $45/person including tip for 4 of us. Alcohol was not included. If you pay with cash it’s a little cheaper than credit card!
Be the first to ReplyMust try brunch
We did the jazz brunch buffet and it was amazing!! The food was great and the service was even better!! Merlin was our server and he was so kind and friendly!!
Be the first to ReplyA sure bet for lunch!
Took the advice from our concierge to have lunch here. Well worth the visit. Great staff, hospitality, sumptuous buffet and open air experience with live jazz music. Our host, Gilda, made it a great experience!
Be the first to ReplyShould have listened to the reviews…
While the courtyard really was beautiful, the food was mediocre at best and overpriced. The buffet looked like many trays of goo lash that had been setting out for a while. We knew going in that we were paying for the courtyard and jazz band, but the jazz band rotated all over the restaurant, so we could only hear them for about 15 minutes. Skip this restaurant and go somewhere better for brunch.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, pretty atmosphere, fun music
We came here for the jazz brunch and the pretty outdoor atmosphere, and overall had a pretty good time. The meal was buffet-style and the food options were pretty standard, but still pretty good. There are a lot of typical New Orleans dishes available, so if you want to get a good sense of the local cuisine, come here and try a bit of everything. I wouldn't say that the food was outstanding, but it was a buffet - there's only so much you can do with it. The jazz was wonderful and we were lucky enough to get a table not too far from the music, so we had an enjoyable time.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful courtyard, but NOT a Jazz Brunch experience!
The setting in the Courtyard was beautiful! The food was pretty good... note that it was buffet style. So you have to get up and go into the buffet area to get food. I booked several months before with a request to sit in the Courtyard near the band, and confirmed it a couple of weeks out... We were seated in the entrance of the Courtyard and the band was on the other side. Even worse, they were on a break for 80% of our Brunch, and you could barely see or hear them when they came back. So I definitely would avoid if you are looking for a "Jazz Brunch" like I was. Regardless it was an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Be the first to ReplyNice Atmosphere, the rest, just ok
We were only in New Orleans for a few hours, so wanted to maximize our experience. We chose Two Sisters because of the Jazz Brunch and the selection of food that was available. The buffet makes it very easy to try a lot of traditional New Orleans dishes. Food: There are over 80 food options, or at least that’s the claim. We didn’t get there until the afternoon, so the the brunch was more on the lunch side. I really enjoyed getting to try the turtle soup, jambalaya, shrimp étouffée, grits and grillades, and the gumbo. Unfortunately, it seemed like a lot of the food had been sitting out some (the carved ribeye was the driest piece of meat I’ve ever had) and the breads were dry as well. I really wanted to like the food, but we had a hard time with it. The best thing was the bread pudding with the bananas foster. Service: I don’t think we received the service that other tables received because we weren’t ordering a ton of alcohol. We had plates stacked up on our small table for an extended period of time and didn’t really have the opportunity to get more than our first drink and water. Atmosphere: We did really like the place. The courtyard itself is very unique. This is probably the highlight. It was too cold to eat outside, but I’m sure it’s a fun experience. The jazz was great. Being a musician, this was really nice to enjoy a meal with. Overall, this place was just ok. I’d also say that if you have limited time in New Orleans, this place can probably be skipped.

This place was awesome. I went for the jazz brunch. The outside seating area is so very pretty. The music was good, and the food was unbelievable. This was my favorite restaurant during the time I was there.
Be the first to ReplyMonday Jazz Brunch Perfect for a Break from Bourbon
Booked the Jazz Brunch on the last Monday before we departed NOLA. The weather was unseasonably cold, but we were determined to enjoy the gorgeous courtyard. We were not disappointed!! The ambiance is beautiful and I would love to see it when the wisteria is in full bloom - it must be breathtaking. Nestled between Bourbon Street and Royal Street, this hidden courtyard feels like you've been transported far away from the bustle of Bourbon and off to some country plantation. The food was perfectly fine and some of the dishes were absolutely delicious! It's a buffet and I never have high expectations, but rather appreciate the variety. This one is no different. Lots to choose from - both hot and cold - both premade and made-to-order. The Bayou Bash cocktail was delicious and very reminiscent of a Sangria - so good, I had two! Lines could get a little long, but they moved rather quickly. We did make reservations online a few weeks ahead of time in order to book at 11:00 and take advantage of both the menus (some items available until 11:30 and some not available until after 11:30). Definitely recommend for something a little more low key than the craziness on Bourbon.
Be the first to ReplyWedding in the courtyard
We recently held my daughter's wedding at The Court of Two Sisters. I don't usually leave reviews, but everyone working that night went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We expected the food and service to be good, because it always is when we dine there. But everything was truly exceptional. Raven, who was our contact person, really outdid herself. She was always easy to reach and did everything she could to accommodate our needs. We could not have done this without her. Thank you!!
Be the first to ReplyNot so great
We ordered appetizers And was given a rice dish at entre price Much too expensive Waitress in experienced. Could not help us find a meal we would like Manager had to lower price All in all a bad experience
Be the first to ReplyStay away
Stay away Their special salad which listed several items I asked if no meat pork or shellfish. It was a chunk of romaine. Uncut with a drizzle of a dressing and——- pieces of ham. There was absolutely no vegetarian options but they said they had a rice dish. My friend asked if the shrimp was spicy. No. But oh yes it was so she sent it back. Then we get a bill of $100. If they said the rice was $25 I would have said skip it. We only ordered appetizers so this was a shock. It was embarrassing to complain but I had no choice. There are enough restaurants around so skip this !

We arrived early for our reservation. They said the table wasn't ready. We sat right across from the hostess at the bar to wait for our table to be ready. It was busy, this was to be expected, we understood. I walked over about 15 minutes later and there was a line of people coming in without reservations and they seated them. They never told us our table was ready and were seating anyone who came in before us. The food on the buffet was good, which is why we gave this 2 stars. There was a lot of fish on the buffet, which is great, but it would have been better if they had a chicken dish or two on the buffet. Overall the food quality was good. The reason we couldn't give this restaurant more than 2 stars was because we barely saw the server and had to wait on basic items (water, butter, silverware) for a very long time. It was busy, but other tables were receiving service. Each basic request seemed to take a very long time. The courtyard was a pretty location to sit in. They might have had an off day with service at the hostess station as well as with the waitstaff. It's hard to say. We were excited to try this restaurant based on other reviews but unfortunately, our overall experience here was not as we had hoped.
