Farm Itay is a beautiful restaurant.
The staff is attentive and good. The menu is varied with nice choices. No restaurant is cheap today, and Farm Italy is no exception, but not outrageous by today's standards. The problem is the food. We had a salad to start which was very nicely prepared but a little over-dressed. The main courses were disappointing. Not bad, but just lazily presented and on the flavorless side. I had scallops which were a little chewy (over cooked) and my wife had Branzino. The scallops were served on 50 cent sized polenta discs that must have been prepared well in advance. the were dnce and chewy and had zero seasoning. The Branzino was equally without flavor (except salt) and the broccolini was undercooked. Desserts were a bit more creative. The flourless chocolate cake was topped with excellent pistachio ice cream and the cake itself was very good. We also had basil ice cream with strawberries and balsamic vinegar. Very creative and tasty. Poorly presented though. As I said, the decor is lovely, but there is not a soft surface to be found and the noise reverberates. On top, the music was too loud. I like to talk to and listen to my dinner companion. It was a challenge. My last pet peeve is charging $10 for bread. The scallops were $10/each so I think there was a fair profit margin. And I don't begrudge being charged for the service, decor, etc... But $10 for a roll is just irritating.
Be the first to ReplyVery beautiful dining experience last Saturday, 3/16.
Bathrooms were clean and atmosphere was stunning. Outside would be really great in warmer weather. For appetizers we had the artichoke hearts and the caprese salad. LOVED the artichokes more than the caprese but overall, both were great. For entrees, we had the scallops and the pappardelle which they were kind enough to make with marinara sauce instead of beef bolognese-absolutely delicious. Our server was new but he did his best and was attentive. Despite not having chocolate, the olive oil cake was delicious!! A great experience for good Italian food in Huntington Village!

I was super excited to try Farm Italy after seeing it on social media so much and knowing how popular it is. Honestly was a bit of a let down. We made a 2:45pm reservation, there's a 15 min grace period. After finding parking we walked in at 2:57, the host told us (in kind of a snotty way) they only hold reservations for 15minutes so we will have to sit by the bar. The math wasn't mathing but I really wanted to like this spot and didn't want to be a Karen so we sat at a marble table by the bar. Our server Nick was attentive and friendly and did a great job. We got the house bread, mussels, branzino, grilled chicken and a cappuccino. The bread was very good, probably the best thing we ate. The mussels had zero flavor. My branzino was good enough but I've eaten tastier branzino I made myself at home. And all the food needed seasoning. It was weird to me the entrees all had the same two sauces on them. Like the sauces on my branzino were the same as on my friend's chicken. Idk seemed uninspired and barely Italian tbh. Nick made me the most fire cappuccino though. It's so beautiful it would be a great place to sit outside with a cocktail/coffee and catch up with friends and have the house bread and maybe burrata/Italian meats but I really can't recommend the food I ate to anyone. For the price point, I probably won't be returning unless it's for a cappuccino in the sun with friends. I'd rather eat amazing food in whatever ambiance than average food in good ambiance.

This was my first and will be my only visit to The Farm Italy. First, I have never been to a fine restaurant that doesn't place bread on the table. When I asked for bread, I was told that bread is an appetizer with a cost of $10.00. This is an Italian restaurant and Italians love their bread as do most nationalities!!! Second, Six or seven pieces of tiny cheese were placed in a small dish on the table. When they were gone we asked for more and were told only the first placement was on them. If seconds of these small pieces of cheese were placed there would be a charge. Third, the water glasses are very small. We had to ask three or four times for refills as no servers took notice. Usually, the server or bus staff will keep an eye on water glasses but not at The Farm Italy. I don't know why they simply don't place a carafe on the table, as other fine restaurants do. The food was mediocre and nothing special. Huntington, New York is a mecca for fine restaurants that are willing to serve your every need with professionalism. All are willing to accommodate the customer. Not at The Farm Italy. I'm not accustom to writing poor reviews but feel strongly that this review is warranted. I also feel it's a place to see and be seen with all the hype. If you're in Huntington try another restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDon't get the hype.
the reservation scarcity is man made to make people think it's in demand. Place had several empty tables on a Friday. Food is meh at best and portions are incredibly small for the price. My wife had the scallops which were overly salty and on the rubbery side. I had the branzino which was very thin and came with a fragment of broccolini as a side. The fried zucchini was mushy and a little plate of Parmesan cheese was a weird thing to put on the table by itself, with no bread or olive oil. Service was ok, waitress didn't want to break my bill for the valet which is not cool for a place trying to cultivate and upscale clientele. Bartenders were great. The 3 ladies working the bar were attentive and had eagle eyes. The spotted people two rows deep waiting for drinks and served them. Not like clowns who refuse to make eye contact. Ambience is very nice. Lots of different rooms and a grand staircase. The upstairs room is very classy with the seating area and fireplace. Overall it's fair at best. it's riding its wave on the restaurant sites. There's a lot of competition at this price point like the Northport Hotel which is not quite as big but worth the try.

Overall excellent meal!! Delicious old fashion, not pictured was fritto misto fried calamari appetizer which was great. House bread as our server Nick said is a MUST! Salty and delicious. Both entrees were large and tasty. Dessert tiramisu was to die for. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future!

You won't regret it one you taste the food and drinks! The picture speak for themselves. 10/10 on everything. You feel like you're walking into Italy, vibes are impeccable. Very beautiful but still cozy.

Had been wanting to come here for dinner and when I saw a reservation for a night we could go I grabbed it. Gorgeous place, amazing food. I could see why everyone loves this place. I'd recommend it and they have valet parking! Not that we used it because we came a Tuesday night and it was easy to park around the block.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is legit.
Everything about it was to good. Service is top notch. The food is great, and the menu speaks to people with different pallets. I got the rib eye. It was on par, even better than, some of the steak houses I've been to in the region. The pasta is fresh and delicious. Definitely worth it if you can get a reservation!

Waited 45 minutes past our reservation time only to be told by the hostess is we gave her $100 we would already be seated!!!! Disgusting!!! We left ! I would never come here again

Our server nick was AMAZING and so personable, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and when i was torn between 2 entree he suggested the Bronzino which came out perfectly, an excellent recommendation. We got a clam appetizer as well which was so flavorful. The food was great but to be honest the service makes me want to return in a heart beat.

Best restaurant in Huntington hands down!! We had an amazing dinner this past weekend. The space itself is open and beautiful and strikes the perfect balance of a relaxed but upbeat vibe. The service is top notch - one of the owners I believe made his away around the tables and dished out little samples of one of the appetizers, which was a very thoughtful touch. But the true star of the show is the food!! We shared the arugula walnut salad, ravioli, malfadine with crab and the meatballs. Everything was mouthwatering and perfectly prepared. This place doesn't cut corners and is totally worth the money - and that being said, the prices are absolutely in line with most of the nicer restaurants in the area. Already can't wait to go back!!
Be the first to ReplyOur first visit and few observations.
Pros: Great service. Gina was excellent! The space is beautiful. My wife's veal dish and the Broccolini were really good. The cappuccino & espresso were made perfectly. The Cons: This restaurant is definitely geared towards the young crowd as it has a bustling bar scene and the noise level is high. Not the restaurant to go to for a quiet romantic dinner. The bread costs $10 and it's ok but what is really missing is a basket of good crusty Italian bread. It's an Italian restaurant, no? The Cacio y Pepe with Bucatini was good but sadly, no Guanciale!! Also, the pace from start to finish was very fast, too fast. There was no time to enjoy our cocktails before food arrived. Overall, a nice experience but we would like to see the pace slowed down & more focus on the food & enjoying the food and less on the ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time at this establishment and it was very nice.
Quite busy on Saturday. A bit too loud, but it seems that they lowered the music at some point. The space does not have. Alot of room. More tables for two people, a few to accommodate four. They serve very quickly. We started with the fritto misto which we thought was deep fried way too much. Also had the oysters which were good. Not out of this world, but ok. For our entrees we tried the branzino which my husband said was very tasty and delicious. I ordered the Malfandine, jumbo lump crab with pasta, which was amazing! Could not get enough of it. Each bite was superb! Very good server and host that interacted with patrons. It appears that they want people in and out within an hour and a half. Not use to being a bit rushed would have liked to enjoy the experience and ambiance.

Had dinner last night and the service and food were impeccable. They offered a free appetizer (pasta with crunchy melted pecorino) for the whole table which was delicious. Also ordered the bread loaf, pasta caccio peppe, salads, spaghetti and meatballs, grilled chicken; all of which were delicious. The place is very elegantly decorated and very accommodating to a large party reservation. Will definitely be returning for other special occasions.
Be the first to ReplyI kept seeing this restaurant in reviews all over Facebook
I kept seeing this restaurant in reviews all over Facebook and yelp, and I snagged a reservation a month ahead of time on OpenTable. We were running late (childcare issues) and called ahead and the hostess was super gracious and said don't worry we are holding your table- we were luckily only 10 mins late. Valet was super prompt and nice, and as promised, our table was waiting for us in this cute little room with 2 other 2 tops. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. Service was top notch, server and busser were amazing. The manager came over and brought us a complimentary tagliolino appetizer, which was amazing because we were actually debating if we should try it or not. It was definitely crunchy and delicious, a very unique appetizer. We also got the oysters were were with soppressata and were perfect. For dinner we split the Cacio e Pepe and the veal Milanese. Both were amazing, and portions were a good size. We also got a side of escarole which was tasty, small portion for the price. For dessert we had the olive oil cake which is topped with melted fire roasted marshmallow- to die for. My only negative is that the food comes out soooo fast. Like almost immediately after you order it. We didn't feel rushed per se, but we did have a three course meal and two rounds of drinks in under an hour. Overall a great dining experience, can't wait to go back!

We were somewhat disappointed with the food at Farm Italy, having read all the great reviews. My partner ordered the pappardelle which came with a sauce that was too strong (too much tomato paste) and the pasta was all stuck together. I ordered the hake which was good, but the vegetables in the dish were overwhelmed by the saltiness of the sauce. Service and ambiance were outstanding though.

Walk into a Manhattan atmosphere and enjoy great service and food. Treated as if they knew us from hello, and then an app and desert tasting on the house. Will return to this gem.

We were happy to try this this new restaurant which replaced Max steakhouse. Bottom line -our initial visit was 8 out of 10. We hope to revisit and enjoy a 10 rating. The restaurant was still new and clearly working through a few things which we mostly ignored on our rating.Service was excellent. Everyone from the host -valet -waitress and manager was great. Food presentation --top notch. You can see this in the pictures. The tastes were nice although the description of dishes should be reconsidered. Here were the Knocks. This is a very expensive restaurant so expectations were high. We have no issue paying for what you get but that is where the skips in rating came on our initial visit.Although tasting good:-Both dishes came out tepid warm temperature. The veal should have been served steaming oven hot. We chose not to say anything as we wanted to eat and go home. Also the description on the menu on the crab dish let us believe it was more of a crab cake vs a pasta. There was a nice taste of crab but no "crab pieces" which is what we thought. The veal parm was expensive $47 and when we ordered it we were told it didn't come with pasta which led us to believe that others complained about the cost. Portions were good All in all -we can see farm Italy hitting the ball out of the park and hope that the food temperature issue was a one time thing. We will also read the menu carefully and ask questions in advance.
Be the first to Replythe whole experience all together was 10/10.
the valet attendants were so friendly, the hostess was so sweet, the staff were all so helpful. from the moment we drove in we were treated great.the ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely great, wonderful music and perfect amount of lighting. the food... 10/10. i got the Pappardelle ( beef bolognese pasta ) and a tiramisu for dessert. so good!! we split many appetizers, my favorite being the meatballs + the sausage. i can't wait to come back again soon!!
Be the first to ReplyWe happened to come on a Friday evening with a reservation
We happened to come on a Friday evening with a reservation for 2 at 7pm. However we had a last minute change and had a third person with us, when I called the restaurant I was told they couldn't garuntee us a 7p res for 3, but if we came a bit earlier they could likely get us seated in a timely fashion. We showed up at 620pm, and it was pretty crowded already with a few tables empty and we were able to be seated immediately. At around 7pm, all the tables were full and the atmosphere was buzzing. The interior is beautiful, dimly lit enough to make it cozy/romantic but lit enough to also be able to read your menu (they had cute little lights at each table that also help). You could come for a date night, or even an evening out with your girlfriends and the environment caters to whatever you're out to celebrate! We started with the Crudo and Sausage. The Crudo was wow, that's the only way to describe it. Citrusy, fresh, and full of flavor-there's octopus and thinly sliced salmon, it was as delicious as it was beautiful to look at. The sausage was enjoyed by some and not so much by others, the toast could have had a little more nduja as it was hard to taste. Then they unexpectedly brought over an order of their tagliolini for us to try and it was so good I highly reccokend it (unfortunately no photo because it was meant to be enjoyed immediately). It's a pasta dish immersed in a creamy cheesy sauce with a crispy layer of cheese on top. It was so simple and you could taste each ingredient and just excellently done-I would def order it again. For cocktails, the blood orange margarita was mine and my sisters favorite and my husband really enjoyed his old fashioneds. For dinner, we opted to share everything as well and we had the Malfandine (pasta) with crab, it was a bit underwhelming for me as I'm not really a seafood person. The pappardelle, with beef bolognese with a dollop of ricotta-I really enjoyed. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly (my husband said it was better than a lot of steakhouse steaks) we ordered a side of mushrooms that paired well with the steak and had a radicchio salad which was the perfect accompaniment to the rich meal-the dressing was delicious and really helped cut some of the richness. We ended with an olive oil cake (for my husband and sister as I'm not a dessert person) which barely sat on the table for a whole 2 minutes before it disappeared, and we were also brought their "berries and basil" dessert, and this was totally up my alley. This dessert was berries and basil on sorbet drizzled with balsamic and it was like nothing I've ever tasted before, and I'm so glad I got to try it as it was so unique and when I go back I will definitely be ordering it. Our server was very nice and patient and took his time to explain everything to us. Our expectations were definitely exceeded and we look forward to returning!
Be the first to ReplyRaviolis are to to die for at The Farm Italy.
I was holding back to order another just to bring to my family at home insisted we come back next week. Service was a little off my waitress Marissa was definitely on something other than caffeine seemed a little too jittery for my partners liking, was also training which wasn't being accomplished because when I needed another drink she kept rushing me to order entrees & then walking away from her fellow co worker in a rush almost. Restaurant as a whole is phenomenal, the setting is well kept and hope to enjoy another meal in such a unique establishment, loved the complimentary dessert! Thanksssss

in a town blessed with high quality restaurants (eight Italian) comes a repurposed structure replicating a Tuscan farm barn and garage, beautifully done by a renowned restaurateur. Complementing the menu of 'one of each' is an attractive, efficient, digitally equipped staff (our server was Maximillian).Food - baked oysters (mixed reviews: very good and terrible), pasta dish (good, not overwhelming), chix parm (excellent in fabulous pomodoro sauce), bread (unknown b/c it failed to make it altho ordered). Prices fair altho given the buzz, I expected higher). Excellent wine selection and very generous pour by the glass.Overall welcome! and try to chase down Angelos and Piccolo for top choice
