Incredibly terrible service, waited an hour for a simple cocktail due to the staff being completely incompetent and understaffed. When my drink finally did come it was the wrong one and had to send it back. A literal nightmare with subpar and expensive options. Will not be coming back to this disaster of an establishment ever again.
Be the first to ReplyHad to ask for my food 4 times.
Everyone else was served and they forgot to put my order in and had the audacity to fight me on it. I had to eat a bar I had in my purse. I have never ever had to do this in my life. Horrible experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe had such a nice time here on a Saturday afternoon.
It's an escape from the busy city life. The service is also on point. They were very accommodating and our server Juan went above and beyond! The drinks are delicious and so was the guac! I recommend this place if it's in your budget.
Be the first to ReplyGreat views and concept however service was horrible.
I don't know if our server was new at her job but poor girl seemed confused and didn't know what she was doing. For example my table ordered two guacamoles. We noticed after some time we didn't receive it so we got her attention to ask about it & she goes " oh yeah we are out of it sorry." So basically if we didn't ask about it she would've never told us that there's no more. Like what ?!! Moral of the story go some where else !

Went for drinks today Wednesday night and after we walked around, apparently we were walking somewhere we weren't supposed to and the security guard (young male African American) came up and started yelling at us. He yelled " how could you not see the signs and do you guys have sense? And how stupid can you be". I didn't see any signs and we apologized but he was so nasty and yelling at us. Totally uncalled for. People need to be professional because although we were in the wrong, we apologized and started leaving, meanwhile he was shouting at us.

After attending a musical event at the South Street Seaport, we decided to check out The Greens. We headed up to the roof and put our name in for an upcoming table. After about twenty minutes, we were escorted to our private astro-turf area, which I think they agreed to give the two of us because they were not super crowded by that point. The view of the neighboring Brooklyn Bridge and borough coast line was spectacular. The dj was playing enjoyable tunes and creating a real relaxing vibe. I ordered an Aperol Spritz from our server, which was good...once I gave it a quick stir with my straw. We had also asked for a plate of fries. After waiting close to 40 minutes, we asked a nearby food runner if he could check on our food. Right after he walked away to do just that, someone else arrived with our snack. We were not sure what to do, but we started eating what wound up being pitiful fries. They were soggy, lukewarm at best, and had no seasoning. Despite not being thrilled, we were also drinking, so we wound up eating every one. We finished the last fry just as that original food runner came back with a second order of the potato sticks. After all of the confusion, he just wound up letting us keep them. This batch was a massive improvement. These French fries were crispy, piping hot, and well-salted. We were not sure which ones were a more accurate depiction of what one should normally expect from their fries, but oh well. Overall, we would definitely go back for the view and vibe, but might think twice about ordering something from the kitchen.

Terrible ! Messed up my order 3 times and had to wait for my new one for over 45mins each time. Was promised a refund and still haven'tReceived it. Paying almost 60$ for Entry that does NOT go towards theBill is outrageous . If everything is electronic you have to make sure everything runs smoothly which it did not . Terrible experience overall . Beautiful ambiance but the terrible service + limited menu doesn't makeIt worth it .
Be the first to ReplyWORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Huge tourist trap.
..you're paying $100+ for a view ! Please skip this place! Where do I begin?! First everyone is done online, meaning you have to order, pay , AND TIP before you get anything. Already seems sketchy... We got one of each food item. -brisket tacos (first round of tacos were not just cold but had multiple giant chunks of just fat in each taco, so we got another round. There was even more chunks of just plain fat. I was told the chef wanted to express Brisket contains fat....yes marbled I'm not chunks of fat as the meat!! We didn't eat this) -fried wings (the wings were cold and rock hard , then after a bite of a drumstick we saw blood and raw chicken, we didn't eat this either)-fries (cold and stale) -spinach cheese empanada (could have found better frozen ones from Trader Joe's. The inside was congealed and tasted like fake spinach flavor, didn't eat this) -tomato feta salad (we got cheese that wasn't feta, it took us debating for sometime what type of cheese it may be and gave up on trying to guess. This was okay, we ate it) As for the drinks ! The mojitos were too sour and the colorful drink was small and just not appealing. Charging $20_+ for these is sort of insulting for the quality of drinks received. Must say service was great, waiter was a nice guy. And the manager was very friendly and did come over to speak to us. She was very nice and only good part about The Greens besides the view. All in all STAY AWAY! This place was terrible, food was beyond disgusting, and for drinks just go downstairs the view will be just as nice. If I could give zero stars I would!

food kinda bad but great views / vibe Stay away from the tacos (no toppings), the chicken salad sandwich is actually a curry chicken sandwich so not at all what you'd imagine. The staff was nice and I actually sent back the sandwich and they happily sent the tacos instead which I also hated but I think that's just because their food isn't good
Be the first to ReplyFood was awful.
Not authentic and not tasty, totally disappointing. Drinks were okay but overpriced. Cute place with the decor and privacy but other than that, it was not what I thought it would be.
Be the first to ReplyI went while they had the cabins on the rooftop.
It was the most romantic scenery I've ever seen. it's a shame it ended on the 27th. if they have it again next year, i'll be sure to come back
Be the first to ReplyI awoken in a cold sweated stooper one frautful morning.
The wind caressed my forehead through the creaked bedroom window. My stomach swirling of my poisons and ills of a past night of sherry sack and debauchery. My mind, no longer preformed of clarity, sat in ailments, unglissening of roasts and scrumptious delights. Alas! A fruitful endeavor had occurred to me! A meal, a fine succulent meal! "But where?" I pondered to myself. "But the Greens, of course!", I responded to myself in quick haste. Upon arrival, I hurried my bunions to the lawns of pods, so thoughtfully placed. The delights I consumed, filled me with glee. The garden salad, picked so prudently from the soils benearth. Nevertheless, the aforementioned was ye the finis of my experience. My server, in his fair yet ataractic, nature of whims was the Cherry upon the pastry-- in the most luisines of expressions. Spencel or Spencio, perhaps his name begaft upon him By his fire eaters. Withal, what stood apart of time, was his bregreath of accents, a most antipodean of sorts. Perhaps from a land Astralis, nova to explorers of kind.I shall return to this local, with most alacrity.

The food was good and the views were worth a trip in and of themselves. We sat roof top and found the "pod house" concept very fun, but our server Spencer turned it into a Pod Home. The drinks he recommended were refreshing and his good natured British charm kept us ordering more!

Came to this place for the first time today and will definitely be returning! The drinks were worth the price and the shrimp and grits are amazing!! My server was the tall Australian guy and he was very helpful and friendly with all of our food related questions too!

Absolutely amazing views of Brooklyn!! In the winter, glasshouses are set up on the rooftop. Each party gets their own private glasshouse. You need a reservation but they are given out on a first come , first serve basis; because we were the first ones there when it opened, we got the BEST glasshouse right next to the water. Inside the glasshouse, there is a tv with a fireplace on, and your own personal space heater. It is VERY cozy inside. You have a button on the table to push when you need a server (however, ours stopped working halfway through the meal). You order online from a menu, pay to checkout, and the food is brought to you. All the utensils you need are inside your glasshouse- paper plates, plastic utensils. Very low maintenance for the venue.I ordered the macaroni and cheese, spinach and cheese empanadas with tomatillo sauce, and the pork. The food wasn't "bad", it tasted like it was frozen and heated up in a microwave. Definitely don't come here for the food, come here for the experience.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice decor with the glaciers/mountains facing the dens.
The dens are big enough for groups of just two people; they are very cozy and cute. The food was good, nothing exciting. I was surprised at the use of blur cheese in the grits and could be finer, not so grainy. The ordering system through the app is a great idea; it is very innovative. Overall, I had a good time. Nice staff.
Be the first to ReplySkip - The concept is great, but terrible execution.
We went on a clear Monday night - but honestly it doesn't matter bc from most cabins you won't have a view. Three sides are textured or covered. It wasn't busy at all, so extra disappointing they didn't put us in a cabin that actually has a view. And they still said multiple times we have to leave in 90 minutes - the whole time we were there, we didn't see a single group other than ours (inside or outside of cabins) :/Drinks were good, food was just ok. Service is terrible. You basically place a take out order online and they deliver the plates. No one to ask questions to about the menu, no one to bring water (or more water), and you can't ask for small changes to your food (like dressing on the side, etc.). We asked for some things when our food was delivered - such as ketchup for fries, a take out container, and they were never brought. This place is expensive for fast/casual type of service (and they ask you tip up front before you know how the service will be). FYI, no extra benefits for Chase card holders despite advertising otherwise. So there is no real reason to go here - at over $80/pp, go to any of NYC's other restaurants on the water or with a view instead.

This place is awesome to spend time with friends in a private setting. The food was delicious, we ordered a variety of items and it was all good. The staff friendly and so helpful and accommodating. Definitely a great place to visit and grab something to eat. Request one of the hut with a view if possible to make the experience even better. Located all the way on the top of Pier 17, there is pay parking across the street (so convenient! $24 for the entire day).

Perfect spot for a date or to go with your girlfriends! It's an amazing view of the city and has a unique ambiance. The service was fast and friendly. For the experience everything was fairly priced and the food was good! The cabins were nicely set up and clean. I got the pasta and would definitely recommend it. If you're visiting NY this is a must do restaurant experience. Xx
