Not great
7 friends went yesterday, the service was poor the kedgeree was awful and my heavily pregnant friend asked for a non alcoholic mock tail but when we got the bill we noticed it was alcoholic really really not happy about this told waiter who begrudgingly refunded the price of the drink.
Be the first to Replylooks lovely, rude staff
Went to the hotel to explore, however when i approached concierge they were incredibly rude. I didn’t get his name but i didn’t even get a hello or good morning he just stared at me blankly. as someone who works in hospitality it’s very disappointing

This was the worst experience ever. I had been walking all over London and arrived tired and early for my reservation at Millie’s lounge. They refused to seat me told me I could wait and they would be happy to cancel my reservation. Treated me like they didn’t want me there. A nice man took me over to Cecconi’s. I sat at the bar rather than wait for a table. Clearly they thought I was a street person wandering in to dine and dash. They held my credit card before I even ordered and did not give it back until I left. I am an older single lady. It is hard enough to dine alone in a strange country, much less be treat like this. I ate quickly, mediocre food and left as quickly as possible. 👎👎👎

Following a very successful finance meeting, Eileen and I decided to celebrate with an afternoon tea in The Ned, which she had been in before. There were two muscians playing classic modern songs. We sat at the bar and our attentive barman guided us through the special menu . We were able to benefit from this as we arrived in the two hour (3-5pm) happy hour period. For £16 plus service each we could select a drink from the cocktail, beers and wine menu for one drink and two items of food. We expected the food to be in minute quantities, but it was served in full dinner propotions. Particularly good were the fried zucchini, buffalo mozerella and the mushroom arancini, and the aubergine parmigiana was quite good too. We decided on wine and were given tasters of both red and white. All were good and a glass of each cour was sufficient for the afternoon repast. Neither of us wanted dinner afterwards!

I had a difficulty with my booking of a room at The Ned which was not of their making. Nicole on reception dealt with it in a professional and polite manner and completely took the stress out of the situation and resolved the matter allowing me to get on with important business. The hotel is a delight , food great and atmosphere wonderful. Top marks
Be the first to ReplyLovely building, good atmosphere but buffet didn’t live up to expectations for money.
Came here for the Sunday feast and had a wonderful afternoon because a beautiful place, great atmosphere but didn’t think the buffet was worth the money. The lobster was fabulous and there was great selection of starters and desserts but the other options for main courses didn’t blow me away. Worth going once but wouldn’t be rushing back.
Be the first to ReplyCustomer care has gone ☹️
What has happened to The Ned .. our favourite hotel has just become so petty have booked for birthday celebration , paid for room balloon, spa treatments ,restaurant bookings .. two females staying in one room and one small amenity bag , containing lip balm and sample size face creams , rang down and asked if we could have another one as we don’t want to share lip balms etc .. and were refused , bearing in mind 2 nights has cost us over £1000 and this seems mean . Also asked for some water replacement in room and told only 1 small bottle each a day allowed and refused ..It used to feel that they couldn’t do enough for you here the service was excellent and lots of little touches made your stay feel special , we re both just really upset at the lack of customer service and care this stay ..☹️ it doesn’t feel special at all they don’t seem to care .
Be the first to ReplyCute hotel, best location, service and decor
Cute hotel with a great atmosphere in the lobby. Lots of restaurants to eat at. Rooms were immaculate and so clean. Tastefully decorated in British 1920’s style. Perfect location for getting to the office at Bank but also venturing off to Shoreditch in the evening. Service was impeccable and the BEST uk hotel I have stayed on!
Be the first to ReplyLike a buffet at a funeral in a working man's club.
Like attending a funeral buffet at a working man's club. Warm Oysters, lobsters. Prawns not crevettes. Cheap cuts of meat. Atrocious potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Deserts are OK. Service OK not 5 star. The counter staff are ridiculous on the phone and surly. Not worth the exorbitant fee.
Be the first to ReplyCame for food - paid almost £100 - almost all of it lukewarm
Had the buffet food at around 4-5pm. Almost everything looked utterly delicious and once picked tasted really nice but.... most of it was lukewarm at best. A roast dinner shouldn't be lukewarm. Get better warming plates or overhead heaters, please.
