Bummer
Walked in at 8:45 PM on a Sunday. Immediately got a snarky look from an employee- I said I would be quick just wanted a quick to go order. I was told I missed last call and the kitchen was closed. I asked - even for a dessert to go? He said yes. I said I thought you closed at 9 PM. He said no...... so I guess the hours need to be updated??? A To- go dessert at 8:45 was too late. Tee hats a bummer
Be the first to ReplyA nice stop for the area
We stopped since we where in the area. It is a cute building. Definitely need more wait staff. But our waitress somehow managed inside and out. I had the 3 grilled cheese with bacon and my daughter had the quesadilla. Nice atmosphere. Food was great
Be the first to ReplyProbably better consumed on site.
I’m just a regular guy. I’m a Paramedic and don’t make a lot of money. So when I go out to eat, I expect that the people serving it to me take pride in what they do as much as I do. With that said, I gave this restaurant a 3 of 5 star rating. The good stuff, I had their Bratwurst Dinner. The portion was generous, and I added a half side salad (at an up charge). Now, the things that bugged me were that I could only order on line through an app. I had a very difficult time with the app. Tried to call the restaurant and just give them my order but they wouldn’t answer their phone. So it appears that they gear their attention to those who eat on site, I was carrying food out. When I got home, the food was cold (go figure). So not their fault but tip: ask them for reheating instructions ;) This dish was supposed to have sauerkraut. Whisper the word sauerkraut and you can guess how much sauerkraut was on this dish. The grilled onions were good but whisper onions, well, you get it. It also came with potato pancakes, with sour cream and caraway sauce. Here’s my take on that dish and what I would do. Get rid of the potato pancakes (they were flat tater tots) and replace with a portion of mashed potatoes. Then, add a portion of sauerkraut with onions. Plop down that generous portion of Bratwurst and call it good! The cheese is gilding the lily, but you could add it if you wanted .

Kind and helpful staff, good music, European vibe and delicious food - the best we had in Columbus so far, at moderate price. We can recommend fish & chips and quesadilla.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service
The food here is amazing! They usually have turtle soup but it is out of stock right now. The service here is great with friendly staff who are able to offer suggestions for what to eat and drink. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.
Be the first to ReplyThe Perfect Neighborhood Tavern
I come to the Mohawk often, although I live out of town. They have the very best burgers and outlandish fish and chips. The food is reliably good, reasonably priced. The service is excellent, always friendly and always efficient. This is an honest and authentic spot!
Be the first to ReplyGood food and good business
We have eaten here many times, and the food is always excellent. Tonight, my dish came out barely warm, which has never happened. I politely asked them to re-heat it, which they did. When we got the bill, my dish wasn't on there. Very classy.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and comfortable/quaint ambiance.
Fast service and good food. Nice menu selection. Prices a bit high for the portion sizes. Overall a good experience. Definitely will go back.
Be the first to ReplyPotato Pancake disappointment
Good, but average food. Nice location, nice venue, nice staff, very crowded, popular. Had the Bratwurst sandwich, turtle soup, and Rueben sandwich. Big disappointment was the “potato pancakes” they were not German potato pancakes at all, rather they were more like hashbrown patties, think McDonald’s hashbrowns.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food. Waitress, not so much.
I've been dining at The Old Mohawk for years. The food has always been excellent, and the staff friendly and professional - except for my most recent visit. The food was still great, but the waitress was surly and quite unprofessional. Hopefully this was just a quirk, and the service will soon return to their former standards.
Be the first to ReplyA Mean Plate Of Fish And Chips!
My wife and I were told that we should do lunch at The Old Mohawk. It turned out to be a great recommendation. I am one who judges pubs by how well the do fish and chips. The Old Mohawk has mastered fish and chips! The staff was friendly and the food was outstanding. If you are looking for a mean plate of fish and chips, go to The Old Mohawk!
Be the first to ReplyA Great Meal
My husband and I like to patronize local restaurants when we travel so I read reviews on Trip Advisor for suggestions. We decided to have dinner at The Old Mohawk based on the positive reviews and it did not disappoint. It was not busy when we arrived and I was a little concerned but once we were seated and began our dining experience all concerns were gone. We were greeted promptly and received our food quickly. My husband had the Bratwurst Platter and a cup of turtle soup and I had the Chef salad and a cup of French onion soup. Everything was delicious and the portions were good. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the Columbus area!

This place...WOW! I would say more restaurant than neighborhood bar, and trendy in a "good" way (everyone welcomed, everyone cool). Immediately welcomed by my super cool server who gave me food selections that were 100% perfect! Mock Turtle Soup -tasty. French onion soup was discussed before my meal was over, and as good as my server was making it sound - I had to try it...probably the BEST French onion soup I've EVER had (& I used to live in Europe!) Meatloaf dinner was probably the BEST meatloaf I've EVER had at a restaurant as well-and the gravy was rich and delicious! Finished with an absolutely amazing piece of chocolate cake! You need to get to this place that's been there forever (great old school feel to the place) right now! You can thank me later!
Be the first to ReplyLocal gem. Gouda and bacon bites!
So we love old Mohawk. It’s such a great neighborhood restaurant. The mother Mohawk is probably my go to sandwich at this time. But we just discovered the Gouda and bacon bites. Wow! Love them. Crave them (as I do the mother Mohawk). The half soup and sandwich is the way to go too. Try their tomato bisque!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and fun atmosphere
We went here for dinner with friends and had a great time. The service was really good as was the food. Three of us had vegetarian options and 1 had a cheeseburger. We were all very satisfied. They have a nice selection of local brews as well.
